He did our chapter 7 now 8 years later i needed the paperwork from that and he wants 79$ to give me a download of the paperwork. I can get it for 10 cents a page through the court. I already paid him for the bankruptcy and I'm not trying to get fleeced. This is not a 791 page download. Not cool man. Not cool. UPDATE Mr. Blue just text me at 930pm to chastise me for my review. Harassing ex clients because they tell the truth about your practices is very unprofessional. He states that it costs 75$ to download the records yet I was able to easily get them for free from the court. He also stated that there were copy charges yet it was only a download. We would not be recieving any physical paperwork. I have screenshots of his childish messages and proof that it's free through the court. You can be mad all day and all night Mr Blue. If you'd told me up front that you'd charge such a large fee I would have saved us both time and declined. When I messaged you inquiring about my need you never mentioned any fees. I wrongly assumed you'd have similar fees as the county clerk. Which is 10 cent per page after you hit a certain amount free plus possibly shipping for physical copies. Yet messaging me over a review that is factual is unprofessional especially since I was polite to you. I simply disagree with people trying to make huge profits from people especially right now during a pandemic. This was less than 30 pages. So it was free. Even if we'd been charged the .10 cents for say 30 pages it would be 3$ not almost 80$. Please do not harass me any further.

Larry made what could be a very depressing and confusing process simple and free from guilt. I would hire him again in a second and recommend him to my closest friend. Also, his rates were better than most bankruptcy lawyers. He has a great assistant who can help you when you cannot reach him.

Twelve years ago I was facing financial ruin because of problems with the IRS. After I filed all of my back tax returns, Larry Blue successfully negotiated an installment arrangement with the IRS that I was able to live with. It took years to pay off, but a little over two years ago I finally paid off the last dollar owed on the last year, obtained release of the IRS liens and moved on with my life. Because I owed so much and the amount I thought I could afford at the time wouldn't have been paid off within the ten years allowed for collection, the IRS could have denied my offer. But Larry persuaded them. After the financial meltdown of 2008, when interest rates plummetted to nearly zero the anticipated situation changed dramatically and I was actually able to repay my debt a little early. Great job.

Larry has helped me through a Chapter 7 Bankruptcy after a messy divorce. I think he is great. He is very personable, trustworthy and compassionate. He made this process very easy for me so I can focus on getting my life back together. He came highly recommended from a Real Estate Attorney I had previously worked with. Great Person and great Attorney. I highly recommend him.

We have been working with Kokie on complicated trust and probate issues. She has always been so easy to work with; very knowledgeable and diligent in legal issues and; intuitively understands how to handle difficult complex issues and people. We have been so happy with her work that we have referred our closest relatives to her for their wills.

I feel very fortunate to have met Kokie through my son who asked the Senior Project Manager of the utility company which he worked for for a referral. The Project Manager had utilized Kokie's services for utility right-of-way negotiations. I needed someone to complete my father's probate action that had stalled. It was a very complex probate that involved the sale of real property. When I first met with Kokie, she volunteered to pick up the case file from the previous attorney. Kokie immediately took charge of my father's estate and through her legal expertise and knowledge she reworked a complex and lengthy Purchase and Sale Agreement that led to the successful sale of the real estate. That was the "easy" part. Next, she worked to create an equitable solution to the Asset Distribution process. Kokie communicated with each of my five siblings and proposed a TEDRA agreement that allowed some of the remaining real estate to remain with some of the family while the others received their share in monetary value. She then connected me with an outstanding CPA who worked out the dollars and cents and the capital gains issues of the distribution. Oh, and also during this process, I hired Kokie to create our wills and Community Property Agreement. I then referred three of my sisters to Kokie to have their wills and directives drawn up as well. Kokie is a very sensitive woman that worked with compassion and professionalism in helping my sisters. I could go on an on. I will say that if you only want an attorney to hold your hand, then don't hire Kokie. She is an aggressive, intuitive and knowledgeable lawyer who will take charge of your legal needs and work with diligence and efficiency in seeing them through to resolution. In closing I would like to say that I have made a friend for life in Kokie and will most certainly call on her in the future for all of my legal needs.

DUI Heroes really lives up to their name! Every member of the team lead with compassion but were highly professional. They were detail oriented, commutative and organized. Rachel Reich was my true hero! She was top notch!!! She is firm with defense. I could tell that she truly was looking out for my best interest. I LOVED how detailed she was as I never had to question what I needed to do and what was happening. She took the scariest part out of my situation which was the unknown. The success of the team is definitely inspired by Jonathan Dichter, the founder. He is very compassionate and his calmness and kindness helped tremendously in the beginning. My family and I were highly anxious and scared and his demeanor helped calm that down so we could make a quality decision. I also want to thank Lexi Bryon and Christopher Wong. They were on the team that helped me and I always appreciated their updates and friendliness. I almost forgot. They give a deal to get your breathalyzer at Lifesafer so you can save some money. This is not a cheap experience so every savings is valuable. What mattered to me most is that they NEVER made me feel ashamed. They actually said they were proud of my accomplishments in recovery (which I entered after my DUI). I was not in a good place and this was very much needed to help me recover. From every morsal of my heart - Thank you all!!

Can a Lawyer Represent Me in Courts Outside of Lynnwood, Washington?

Whether a lawyer can represent you in courts outside of your city or state depends on their licensure and the jurisdiction of the court:

  • Within the Same State:
Lawyers licensed in a particular state can typically practice anywhere within that state, including all cities and counties. They can represent you in both state and federal courts located in that state.
  • Outside of Their Licensed State:
If your case is in a different state, the lawyer must be licensed in that state to represent you. However, there are exceptions:
    • Pro Hac Vice Admission: An out-of-state lawyer can request special permission to represent a client in a specific case in another state. This requires filing a motion with the court and often working in conjunction with a local attorney.
    • Federal Courts: If your case is in federal court, a lawyer licensed in any state may be able to represent you, provided they are admitted to practice in that particular federal court.
  • International Representation:
For cases outside the United States, different rules apply, and the lawyer may need to comply with the foreign country's legal requirements or collaborate with local counsel.

It's important to discuss your specific situation with the lawyer to determine if they can represent you in the desired jurisdiction and what steps may be necessary to do so.

How to Check the Credibility of a Lawyer

Before hiring a lawyer, it's crucial to verify their credibility and ensure they're qualified to handle your case:

  • Verify Their License:
Check with your state's bar association to confirm the lawyer is licensed and in good standing. Most state bar websites have an online directory for this purpose.
  • Experience and Specialization:
Ensure the lawyer specializes in the area of law relevant to your case. Review their website, professional profiles, and case history.
  • Disciplinary Record:
Look up any history of disciplinary actions or complaints through the state bar association's records.
  • Client Reviews and Testimonials:
Read reviews on legal directories like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, Google, or Yelp to gauge client satisfaction and experiences.
  • Professional Memberships:
Membership in professional organizations or specialty bar associations can indicate a commitment to their field and adherence to high ethical standards.
  • Awards and Recognitions:
Honors from reputable organizations reflect expertise and a positive reputation in the legal community.
  • Consultation Assessment:
Use the initial consultation to evaluate their communication skills, responsiveness, and willingness to address your concerns.
  • Ask for References:
A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients who can speak to their abilities and professionalism.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a lawyer, come prepared with:

  • Relevant Documents:
Bring all documents related to your case, such as:
    • Contracts or agreements
    • Correspondence (emails, letters, texts)
    • Legal notices or court papers
    • Financial records (if applicable)
    • Evidence (photos, videos, receipts)
  • Written Summary:
Prepare a concise written summary of your situation, including key dates, events, and parties involved. This helps the lawyer quickly understand the context.
  • List of Questions:
Write down any questions you have about your case, the legal process, fees, or the lawyer's experience.
  • Financial Information:
If your case involves financial matters, bring relevant documents like pay stubs, tax returns, bank statements, or invoices.
  • Contact Information:
Provide details of any witnesses or other parties relevant to your case, including their names and contact information.
  • Personal Identification:
Bring a valid photo ID for verification purposes.
  • Pen and Notebook:
Take notes during the consultation to remember important points discussed.
  • Budget Constraints:
Be ready to discuss your budget and any financial limitations so the lawyer can provide appropriate guidance on fees and payment options.
  • Openness and Honesty:
Be prepared to discuss your case candidly. Full disclosure allows the lawyer to give accurate advice and anticipate potential challenges.
