I cannot thank DUI Heroes enough for their professionalism and dedication in handling my case. From the first consultation, their team made me feel heard and supported during what was an extremely stressful time. They thoroughly explained the process, kept me informed at every step, and worked tirelessly to achieve the best possible outcome for my situation. Their attention to detail and expertise were evident throughout the case, and their ability to navigate the complexities of the legal system was impressive. They not only reduced my charge but also helped me understand how to move forward positively after this experience. I highly recommend DUI Heroes to anyone in need of a lawyer for a DUI case. If you’re looking for an exceptional DUI defense team, I strongly recommend that you retain DUI Heros. They not only secured the dismissal of several charges and citations but also ensured I wouldn't set for insure a jail. They even went the extra mile to get all fines and court costs reduced to zero—a result I had only hoped for. My case took time to adjudicate, and during that period, I experienced a severe and unexpected life-threatening illness. DUIHeroes handled my situation with compassion and care, taking every necessary precaution to ensure my condition would not worsen. Their professionalism and empathy reassured me during a challenging time; I truly felt both protected and understood. Additionally, I was wrongfully accused of serious charges unrelated to the DUI—charges that could have severely impacted my career and future. DUIHeroes’ thoroughness and commitment led to the dismissal of these charges as well, allowing me to move forward with my life without fear or stigma. They restored my faith in people who genuinely seek to help others. DUIHeroes truly lived up to their name, and I am deeply grateful for their unwavering support and dedication.

I was represented by dui heroes after I was pulled over illegally. After talking on the phone with Chris I knew I was in good hands. They represented me even though I live on the east side of the mountains, they were still able to keep in good communications and handled my case accordingly. I felt at ease with my case because of their professionalism and knowledge of law. The whole process was painless and stress free. Them getting my case dropped was the result of their hard work.

We have been working with Kokie on complicated trust and probate issues. She has always been so easy to work with; very knowledgeable and diligent in legal issues and; intuitively understands how to handle difficult complex issues and people. We have been so happy with her work that we have referred our closest relatives to her for their wills.

I feel very fortunate to have met Kokie through my son who asked the Senior Project Manager of the utility company which he worked for for a referral. The Project Manager had utilized Kokie's services for utility right-of-way negotiations. I needed someone to complete my father's probate action that had stalled. It was a very complex probate that involved the sale of real property. When I first met with Kokie, she volunteered to pick up the case file from the previous attorney. Kokie immediately took charge of my father's estate and through her legal expertise and knowledge she reworked a complex and lengthy Purchase and Sale Agreement that led to the successful sale of the real estate. That was the "easy" part. Next, she worked to create an equitable solution to the Asset Distribution process. Kokie communicated with each of my five siblings and proposed a TEDRA agreement that allowed some of the remaining real estate to remain with some of the family while the others received their share in monetary value. She then connected me with an outstanding CPA who worked out the dollars and cents and the capital gains issues of the distribution. Oh, and also during this process, I hired Kokie to create our wills and Community Property Agreement. I then referred three of my sisters to Kokie to have their wills and directives drawn up as well. Kokie is a very sensitive woman that worked with compassion and professionalism in helping my sisters. I could go on an on. I will say that if you only want an attorney to hold your hand, then don't hire Kokie. She is an aggressive, intuitive and knowledgeable lawyer who will take charge of your legal needs and work with diligence and efficiency in seeing them through to resolution. In closing I would like to say that I have made a friend for life in Kokie and will most certainly call on her in the future for all of my legal needs.

John is by far the best defensive lawyer with excellent rates and knowledge. If you have been convicted of a crime, call John first! I have tried several other lawyers in the past and feel confident with john knowing he really does care and is well respected in the WA State Court systems...

I doubt you can do much better than John. He was brought in as additional counsel on my DUI case to excellent effect. My case, which was fairly grim at the outset, was dimissed today under Mr. Rodabaugh's defense. Not only does he have the inside track from his years as a prosecutor, he also demonstrates keen attention to detail, sharp instincts and fearlessness in the courtroom. I am deeply grateful to him for preserving my freedoms, and for being sincere and approachable.

CliffsNotes Review: Hire this firm if you can! Where does one even begin when trying to give thanks to a team that has helped during such an emotional, stressful, and difficult time? The lawyers and staff at The Law Offices of Lance Fryrear have been such a blessing. After the police were called and an arrest was made, it felt like my life was over. I felt so powerless during those initial days where the court process and legal battles seemed beyond hope. I am not sure how I would have made (and continue to be making it) through this legal process without Lance and his team. Everytime I called with a worry or concern, Rachel and Shannon would answer the phone, listen attentively and provide encouragement. They never made me feel like a burden or annoyance (even when I felt I was because of all the anxiety). Lance and Colleen worked to support me through a Civil PO that was filed in addition to my pre-charge criminal defense needs. Colleen went above and beyond, helping me reach out for my personal items, providing comfort and support, and always making me feel like a priority. Lance not only brought so much legal knowledge and experience (check out his Youtube), but his ability to understand the process and speak to the emotional side really was a game changer. Before agreeing to help with the Civil PO, he listened attentively to the situation. Lance and his team agreed to help me with the criminal defense matter, but only wanted to commit to helping with the Civil PO, if there was something they could actually do in my situation to help. His firm is not interested in saying “yes” to everything to get a paycheck. They actually care about YOU and YOUR SPECIFIC case. He felt based on my circumstances, that although filing a written response might not be wise in my case, there could be other avenues to explore, and thus agreed to help with that legal matter. If you work with Lance and his team, it is worth every penny. Make sure to listen to his advice! You, like me, will likely have to fight the urge to want things resolved yesterday. Fight the urge to want to act out of frustration from not having your side heard by the justice system. Fight the urge to think that your ideas and timing are right and that slow justice is not justice. Time is your friend in many of these cases. I worked to trust Lance and his team with this, groaning in my mind about the long lengths between court dates, but in the end he and his team were right. Time can change people and circumstances. The Civil PO was dismissed! For my pre-charge criminal defense, my lawyer Elisabeth also worked tirelessly to support me by answering questions, reviewing documents, and helping me with ancillary issues related to my case. She always made time for me and I felt heard and cared for by her. This is a quality not all law firms have, but it ended up being so important to me, so do not overlook it if it is important to you. It is so valuable to work with lawyers and staff who are empathetic and patient since a lot of the struggle is trusting that your team really cares about you and your case. If you want a law team that will not only work to get you successful legal outcomes to your case, but also will help you make sense of things and respond to your emotions with care, I can not recommend the lawyers and staff at The LawOffice of Lance Fryrear enough. I have had such amazing results, and have felt as supported as possible throughout this process, which would not have been possible without my legal team. Thank you Lance, Elisabeth, Colleen, Rachel, Shannon, and the other amazing lawyers and staff who work to give people accused of crimes a second chance at life. Your work and effort really does make a difference!

Can a Lawyer Represent Me in Courts Outside of Lynnwood, Washington?

Whether a lawyer can represent you in courts outside of your city or state depends on their licensure and the jurisdiction of the court:

  • Within the Same State:
Lawyers licensed in a particular state can typically practice anywhere within that state, including all cities and counties. They can represent you in both state and federal courts located in that state.
  • Outside of Their Licensed State:
If your case is in a different state, the lawyer must be licensed in that state to represent you. However, there are exceptions:
    • Pro Hac Vice Admission: An out-of-state lawyer can request special permission to represent a client in a specific case in another state. This requires filing a motion with the court and often working in conjunction with a local attorney.
    • Federal Courts: If your case is in federal court, a lawyer licensed in any state may be able to represent you, provided they are admitted to practice in that particular federal court.
  • International Representation:
For cases outside the United States, different rules apply, and the lawyer may need to comply with the foreign country's legal requirements or collaborate with local counsel.

It's important to discuss your specific situation with the lawyer to determine if they can represent you in the desired jurisdiction and what steps may be necessary to do so.

How to Check the Credibility of a Lawyer

Before hiring a lawyer, it's crucial to verify their credibility and ensure they're qualified to handle your case:

  • Verify Their License:
Check with your state's bar association to confirm the lawyer is licensed and in good standing. Most state bar websites have an online directory for this purpose.
  • Experience and Specialization:
Ensure the lawyer specializes in the area of law relevant to your case. Review their website, professional profiles, and case history.
  • Disciplinary Record:
Look up any history of disciplinary actions or complaints through the state bar association's records.
  • Client Reviews and Testimonials:
Read reviews on legal directories like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, Google, or Yelp to gauge client satisfaction and experiences.
  • Professional Memberships:
Membership in professional organizations or specialty bar associations can indicate a commitment to their field and adherence to high ethical standards.
  • Awards and Recognitions:
Honors from reputable organizations reflect expertise and a positive reputation in the legal community.
  • Consultation Assessment:
Use the initial consultation to evaluate their communication skills, responsiveness, and willingness to address your concerns.
  • Ask for References:
A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients who can speak to their abilities and professionalism.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a lawyer, come prepared with:

  • Relevant Documents:
Bring all documents related to your case, such as:
    • Contracts or agreements
    • Correspondence (emails, letters, texts)
    • Legal notices or court papers
    • Financial records (if applicable)
    • Evidence (photos, videos, receipts)
  • Written Summary:
Prepare a concise written summary of your situation, including key dates, events, and parties involved. This helps the lawyer quickly understand the context.
  • List of Questions:
Write down any questions you have about your case, the legal process, fees, or the lawyer's experience.
  • Financial Information:
If your case involves financial matters, bring relevant documents like pay stubs, tax returns, bank statements, or invoices.
  • Contact Information:
Provide details of any witnesses or other parties relevant to your case, including their names and contact information.
  • Personal Identification:
Bring a valid photo ID for verification purposes.
  • Pen and Notebook:
Take notes during the consultation to remember important points discussed.
  • Budget Constraints:
Be ready to discuss your budget and any financial limitations so the lawyer can provide appropriate guidance on fees and payment options.
  • Openness and Honesty:
Be prepared to discuss your case candidly. Full disclosure allows the lawyer to give accurate advice and anticipate potential challenges.
