Luke is without a doubt the best criminal lawyer there is. He is so patient as he explains all the terminology and it's consequences, which can be overwhelming in itself. I never felt defeated with Luke. He fought for what was right and worked well with the prosecuting attorneys, which is key. He fought back and forth for almost a year. He went through scenarios of each plea and how it would affect me. He got me more than I could have imagined and for that I am forever grateful. He is the lawyer you want on your side.

He is kind, knowledgeable, organized and sincere in giving you the most vigorous defense you need and deserve. My son, a WSU student, found himself charged with Assault 4 and Obstructing a Police Officer after being a patron at Stubblefields on the WSU campus. Yes, Stubblefields ... a reoccurring venue on these reviews. This place has a reputation of taking advantage of "misdemeanor compromise" statutes by claiming their employees (bouncers) were assaulted ... and getting paid to not continue pressing charges. Arguing how you have been the assaulted, not the assaulter, with the police apparently gets you Obstruction charges. Anyway, Luke was fantastic in handling the situation on behalf of my son. He negotiated a fair settlement that cleared him of any permanent criminal record. He was thorough in his investigation and legal strategy/tactics. He was very honest about probable outcomes and in constant communication. In the end, the bouncer was not credible. It was an unfortunate situation, but having Luke on board as chief advocate mitigated a bad situation into a hard life lesson without lasting repercussion. Luke's efforts are sincerely appreciated and he has our recommendation if you find yourself in a similar situation.

My son was a WSU student who was represented by Luke Baumgarten. Since it was his second offense (he represented himself for the first offense without my knowledge) he was looking at some pretty serious consequences including jail time, probation, and a permanent record. Luke was able to convince the judge to give him a second chance. After 6 months of working, going to school and staying out of trouble, Luke was able to get the charges dropped. I couldn't believe how fortunate my son was. He definitely learned his lesson. Throughout, Luke was extremely helpful, took my calls and patiently explained the process and our options, and was extremely professional. He took a genuine interest in my son's case.
