I am happy and satisfied with the work that Christy Cufley did on my behalf, when she represented me in my struggle against the Washington State Employment Security Department. She had clear understanding of the laws surrounding unemployment, and was able to see from my paperwork that the ESD had wrongly made a determination against me. Ms. Cufley obtained a hearing for me before an Administrative Judge, who reversed the ESD's determination, after hearing all the facts in this case. She was able to articulate all the facts in a clear and concise manner, because she took the time and effort prior to the hearing to do her homework. She was even working on my case on Easter Sunday, since our hearing was that next morning. That is impressive. I would recommend Christy and the HKM Employment Attorney firm to anyone who is having struggles with the ESD.

A few years ago I needed to find an attorney for what I suspected was a wrongful discharge. I’ve never hired an attorney for this kind of situation so I simply did an internet search and contacted HKM Employment Attorneys. I spent about 30 minutes on the phone with an HKM attorney. He asked me to email some correspondence between the employer and myself. He drafted legal documents to the employer and prior to sending, he forwarded a copy to me for review. I was quite surprised how he had grasped my needs. I received several updates via email and phone calls. Most of all, I respected the way I was treated during this time with very straight forward conversation and being clearly advised as to what I should and should not do once I hired the law firm. I would not only contact HKM again if I needed but would refer folks to HKM.
