Derek Horne walks the talk. After searching for a local Pooler attorney to help me with a local matter I made several phone calls and after speaking with a couple others that only seemed to want my money but couldn't explain exactly how they would handle my situation and didnt have much time to talk before getting paid one of them a former local prosecutor I made my last call to Derek Horne. Derek Horne took the call right away and spent 20 minutes on the phone with me before discusing any money. He was clear on what he would do for me and he knew all the local players, without going into great detail talking with Derek was like talking to one of the guys and he delivered in a big way and at a resonable fee. derek and his team helped my boyfriend and i after we were hit by a drunk driver. he and his team treated us like family and not only made sure we got the top dollar we deserved but also that we got the care we deserved afterwards as well. he found us every single doctor we needed to see and made sure we had rides to appointments. hes also the only reason we were able to get a new car quickly by giving us ways to access some money when we needed it before our case was done. he even sent me a birthday card on my birthday which just goes to show his kindness and detail to his clients. if i could give him 100 stars i would and highly highly recommend him.

We first contacted Peter when we started our medical malpractice journey almost five years ago shortly after the surgery accident happened. He and his paralegal assistant Kim expertly guided us through the long judicial process , handling not only the complex legal issues but all of the roller-coaster emotional ones as well. It became quite evident that we made a great lawyer choice when we witnessed all of the other lawyers during depositions. Peter was clearly head and shoulders above the rest - he was always well prepared, having completely researched all of the medical procedures and surgical tool nuances so that he knew exactly what questions to ask the witnesses. He always remained calm, courteous and professional when questioning them, and left no stone unturned. When we became frustrated with the slow process, which dragged on for years (partly due to being in the midst of Covid), he always listened patiently to our concerns, responded in a way we understood, and never pressured us one way or the other - decisions were always, in the end, left up to us (although he clearly gave us his own recommendations). He and Kim were "our team", and we knew we could always contact them if we had questions or issues. We are relieved that this chapter is behind us, and would certainly recommend Peter to anyone needing this type of assistance.

I recently had the opportunity to watch Tom Scarritt in the courtroom and I was very impressed. It was evident that Tom connected with the jury extremely well and was very comfortable in the courtroom. He did an excellent job of turning complex legal issues, into persuasive, understandable arguments that the jurors could relate to. Tom did a wonderful job and I would recommend him very strongly.

After 2 years of complex litigation, I was beginning to think the legal system in Hillsborough County Florida was a complete joke. After discussing the situation with Tom Scarritt, I realized my legal team of 3 mishandled certain aspects of the case. Since they were with a large statewide firm, this was a tough pill to swallow. There were 2 trials involved in my case. My original team blew the first part of case by mishandling the trial. I fired the original team and engaged Tom Scarritt.
Tom took my bleak situation and completely reversed the tide . At the end of the second trial , the judge told my opponent her assertions of value due her were ridiculous. While no one should be expected to work miracles, Tom Scarritt was able to take our situation to a successful conclusion given our difficult position. Had I employed Tom in the beginning, I am convinced the outcome would have been a complete success. Litigation is a minefield of rules and legal positioning . Tom knows the system inside and out having taught trial lawyers and I recommend him to anyone with a large case.

Mr. Sparks is the most awsome lawyer you can ever hire!! He was able to settle my personal injury case with ease and set up a structured settlement on my daughters behalf which will accumulate 10,000 extra dollars towrads her settlement portion by the time she is 18. This was at no extra cost to me or my daughter and he handled it perosnally. I was rear-ended by a pickup truck and suffered serious back and neck injuries. Unfortunately, the driver that hit me had a relatively low liability insurance policy. But Mr. Sparks got that insurance company to settle for the driver’s maximum limits. Then, he got my insurance company to pay a lot more because I had a much higher underinsured policy coverage limit. I was very happy with the final outcome.
My family and I suffered a lot in the accident’s aftermath, and Mr. Sparks stood by me every step of the way. He is an incredibly detailed, skilled and accessible lawyer … and a really good human being too.

Our family had a problem with bedbugs in our apartment and a landlord who was blaming us and trying to get us to pay for the exterminators. It is difficult for anyone who has not had bedbugs to imagine the extent to which this problem negatively effects every aspect of your life. I contacted Greg Brod, and he was there for us. Liz was our constant support and advisor during our case against a hospital that did not provide standard of care for my husband resulting in a significantly shortened lifespan as well as a difficult one.
Liz was the one we first called or emailed with questions -- and we had lots! Never did she seem we were taking too much of her time, and she always provided her expert opinion and advice in an easy to understand, thoughtful and kind manner.
While our attorneys got to know a lot about our lives, they shared some about their own, so we enjoyed learning about Liz's children, one of whom she gave birth to during the process.
Through depositions and a mediation Liz informed us very well about the process so we weren't taken by surprise in any way.
