When I fell in a hole in a parking lot the ligaments in my knee were torn. I am not from Winchester and spoke to another attorney before speaking with Stanley about my accident. The other attorney would not take my case. Stanley took it and explained all the reasons why other attorneys probably weren't interested. Even with the problems with my case Stanley was able to get it settled for more than I expected. He is a fantastic attorney.

In the summer of 2019, I was hit by a car while riding my bicycle. Fortunately, I do not remember the accident. The EMT’s put me into an induced coma at the scene of the accident and after a few days in the hospital I was brought out of the coma.
After waking up, all I wanted to do was to get out of the hospital and back to work in a business I had just started. I felt that the aches and pains were just a distraction from the dedication I needed to make the business successful. My punctured lung, broken ribs, broken other bones, smashed in face, missing teeth, my body numb from the hips down, and a severe head injury with a hematoma could just be ignored. Maybe I was not thinking straight!
My wife suggested that we should sit down with an attorney regarding the accident, and I reluctantly took a meeting with Paula McCandliss from Brett Law. I wasn’t keen on lawyers, and I did not put much effort into the meeting. My thoughts were that I’d quickly get over my bumps and bruises and Paula would be wasting her time with my case. Well, I was not thinking straight, and thank goodness for Paula putting up with my callousness.
The physicians and hospital staff did a respectable job putting me back together, but it’s hard for them to determine the extent of the injuries, and of course the medical profession cannot get you back to 100%. After my discharge It took time for me and my primary physician et. al. to determine my ongoing care and what medical problems would be permanent.
Let me say this- I was fortunate to have met Paula and her team at Brett Law. They were always personal, professional, and caring, and not to mention they worked tirelessly on my case. It was ‘my bad’ to assume that they were just a firm chasing an ambulance. To my ignorance, I didn’t perceive the onslaught of hospital and specialty physician invoices, the art of dealing with medical and auto insurance companies along with collection agencies on invoices that were never presented to me. Paula helped us get through all these unforeseen hurdles with kindness, legal insight, and experience. She is a great coach to lead you through the myriad of difficulties you may face after a painful accident, and I highly recommend her. You will appreciate both her legal skill and warm personality.

I was referred to Mike McDonald, and cannot say enough about him and his team. Mike's experience and passion for his clients needs shows thru as soon as you meet him. In this case, I had a back injury from an auto accident. The defendant's insurance company wasn't accepting full responsibility for the situation. In 2017 my daughter and I were in a car accident. I was in the hospital for a week and came out with a huge bill and completely lost and stressed on what to do I contacted the first attorney I googled in my area and he took my case but was so aggressive it only stressed me more. I didn't just pick Bob out of the Yellow pages, he was recommended to me by the attorney that prepared our will. I then had by sister-in-law who is also an attorney (practicing law in Maryland) review his web-site. She said he sounded knowledgeable and showed experience in personal injury cases, something I was definitely going to need.
My case began with a Sunday morning walk in a quite neighbor just north of Manson in Lake Chelan, Wa. My brother and his wife along with my wife and I were walking along a public road when a large dog approached. His demeanor was not friendly, he was aggressive showing his teeth and lunging at us. With numerous calls to control his dog the approaching owner did nothing. When the dog's attention turn towards my wife, I collected a couple of large rocks and proceeded to through them at the dog. In doing so, I ripped the quad tendon in my right leg, causing extreme pain and injury. After surgery, I was off work for 3 months then an additional 6 months of physical therapy.
I know, some might think "you threw the rock - it was your own fault". This was not my view nor was It Bob's. Bob represented me and with his knowledge and expertise we settled with the insurance company for a fair and equitable amount.

I contacted the law office and within several hours, Mr. Harman himself returned my call. We just briefly discussed my need for a lawyer and he had his legal assistant, Windy schedule an appointment.
My initial meeting with Mr. Harman was extremely thorough. He, point blank, informed me that he would not take on my case if he thought he couldn't win it.
His legal knowledge of the Social Security Administration, in particular, the legal aspects of the disability insurance claims portion, was overwhelmingly spellbinding. From knowing the simplest issues of forms to the more critical issues of what is necessary from physicians, what type of Physicians in conjunction with my illnesses, etc. It was imperative to him that the flow of communication between myself and his office be fluent. I never hesitated to contact the office with any questions and was never not contacted in a timely fashion.
The more that we met, the more comfortable I felt with Mr. Harman.
Three weeks prior to my hearing he scheduled what he thought would be a critical examination with a physician, other than my own. And it ended up being significantly critical to my claims outcome.
That same week, we had our final meeting before my hearing. Afterwards, I felt extremely comfortable and ready for my hearing.
The morning of the hearing, he ask if there were going to be any surprises for him, did I have any last minute questions, did I feel comfortable, was I okay?
He had me so extensively prepared for the hearing, and I had no doubt that he was.
Entered the conference room, proceeded with all of the legal necessities, and then the judge offered that he was going to make an off the record fully favorable decision but for one question. Once he asked me the question, talked to the Vocational Expert and Mr Harman for a few minutes and then announced a bench decision of fully favorable. Mr. Harman had succeeded at what he had set out to do, win my claim.

In December of 2016, on the way to my granddaughter’s Christmas recital at church, I was involved in an accident with a box truck that sideswiped me, spinning me around in the interstate at 60 mph, and caused me to hit the jersey wall, full side on, with my headlights pointing into on coming traffic. This resulted in me totaling my car, which was a 19th year wedding anniversary present to me from my husband. Besides the actual horror of the accident, which I am eternally grateful to God that I survived to be able to spend Christmas with my family; and the loss of my beloved car, that I had so enjoyed having; there was the added insult to injury (no pun intended) that the truck that hit me while trying to share the lane with me, never stopped but fled the scene leaving me injured, missing my entire family gathered at the church for my granddaughter’s pageant, and without a witness to identify the unmarked vehicle. But wait! There is more!!! To put the bow on top of this anonymous gift from the Grinch that almost stole all of my future Christmas’s; when all was said and done I was simultaneously unemployed, due to injuries affecting my ability to do my job, AND my insurance company of 30+ years denied my claim! I had injuries that I had to have physical therapy for, which lasted over 2 months, I had to have shots in my back, as well as injury that caused and/or aggravated some chronic conditions that I will have to deal with for the rest of my life. In what seemed like a comedy of errors things evolved into me needing to get a lawyer to make the insurance company do what they should have done in the first place. Mr Bradfield did just that. Since this experience had never happened to me before I was not knowledgeable as to how this would proceed, however, he very expertly explained everything and had a good sense of humor and tireless patience with me. This being the most traumatic thing that had ever happened to me made for some extensive conversations with me, which I am so thankful that he took the time to attend to. His assistant kept me informed of all appointments and progression of events. Their professionalism and courteous corespondence was refreshing in a very trying situation.
