Very unpleasant experience. Alan looked and treated me like roach from the very first moment. Always talking down in a very condescending tone, like I was so fortunate to have found him. Going through a divorce I was looking for professional guidance and he did nothing but rip me off. Gave him the $850 retainer, but after exchanging a couple messages I informed him that I didn’t agree with his plan and would no longer need his services. I requested a refund. he responded by saying he’d be keeping more than half because we met with me.

I got charged with a DWI in September, 2022. I hired Denise Kirby and she started by calling me and getting all the information she needed from me asap. She was very impressive with how she handled the case and she constantly kept me in the loop with what was going on. After watching the video of my arrest, she filed for a motion to suppress and won that, which resulted in the case being dropped. She came to court incredibly prepared and had a counter for everything the prosecutor said. Overall, watching Denise handle this case was very impressive and I would highly recommend her to anyone in this situation.

Attorney Sara Adams-Siskey was Attorney in my contested divorce with minors. She was able to get me divorced in 4 months. She took on my case at last minute after I initiated the case myself. She showed up at court 3 days later after retaining her, and of course the first hearing was ruled in my favors. My case had several hiccup along the way but Sara swiftly get things sorted out. She made what seem complex, unfair and uncertain end timely and in my favor without going to court a second time. I owe her more than I can imagine. She gave my family a chance to start over and create a safe and healthy space to thrive. She didn't break the bank with her fees. I am so appreciative of her flexibility and sincerity. From my first conversation with Sara about my divorce, she explained each step of the process clearly in easy to understand terms. Each time I was asked for something, she would explain why she needed it, and what she was doing with that information. Sara also answered my questions and gave me great advise on how to handle any situation that came up during my divorce. Sara told me that she would make sure that I was not taken advantage of during my divorce, and she did exactly that. I would highly recommend Sara to anyone who needs a lawyer.

Had initial phone call and emailed back and forth to have Jeremy help me with a legal issue. He was attentive and straightforward. When his services were needed a few months later on what we discussed, he simply wouldn’t respond to either email or phone. I gave him the benefit of the doubt and thought he may be on vacation or something, but this was not the case. Found another review elsewhere that said that they were also ignored. My friend, who referred me, was ignored on a small piece of advice she was seeking this spring. Unresponsive. Do not recommend. Had to scramble for last minute representation with another lawyer.

Hired this person on a referral from James Hedelston. Biggest mistake of my life.
This attorney never spoke to the police officer witness who was previously subpoenad and waiting outside court room. The officer Arrested my ex for a Dwi while the children were in the vehicle . This attorney also never spoke to the person he was run over by my ex while with the children in the vehicle . That person was waiting outside courtroom also on November 2018.
This attorney told me that I had to take a settlement of supervise visitation and give my children to the person who has physically emotionally ,financially, and medically abused us For last several years even after my ex was just arrested a few weeks before for domestic assault. .
Immediately after saying I should agree she dropped me because I had little money. The very next day 2018 on Facebook she posted how she was looking to give free legal counsel to a family in need. She was stating how she wanted to give back to the community.

I gave Mikayla an unbelievable amount of evidence, and updated on issues throughout the 2 years of my divorce. She failed me on so many levels. She submitted documentation with incorrect information. She didn't know opposing party evidence was relating to, as she told me in the middle of my hearing. She failed to ask the pertinent questions during questioning that would have been a game changer. I would never hire her again. This isn't a bash for all because my case came out bad, I got what was most important to me, but she cost me thousands of dollars in back-owed support as well as assets that she never accounted for.

I am a young, blue-collar guy. I wanted an expert to help make sure I'd be well-protected by my LLC as I am getting into real estate investing. Brian and his staff got me in for a meeting quickly and a week-and-a-half later all of the necessary legal paperwork was completed to satisfaction and filed with the Secretary of State's office. Everything was explained clearly and simply and he and his staff responded quickly to my emails and questions along the process. Online payment for services was very convenient and easy. Brian also agreed to meet later in the evening a couple times which made my life easier and he didn't rush through the meeting to get me out the door. I will be going back to him for future real estate legal services.

I have been a client of Pam's since 2012. My divorce - over a simple estate - unfortunately took 2 years, 2 months to settle, then more litigation/motions by my former wife, post divorce. My situation was made worse by my former wife's corporate law firm, who were awful people to go up against. Pam was the perfect choice for me: my criteria was to hire a tough woman, not a man, experienced, local to Essex County, one who knew the inner workings of the Newark divorce system. Pam is not only very experienced (30+ years) but from the area having spent her whole adult life in Essex County. She not only took on the corporate lawyers representing my wife, she defeated them in a long motion post divorce, which resulted in a full blown trial. We won this huge case that could of cost me hundreds of thousands of dollars. Pam is professional, tough but fair, and also has accounting/finance skills that are so important during the divorce process. This is the worst lawyer I have ever come into contact with. I came to her based on these reviews, and wish I had looked elsewhere. On two separate occasions, she went to court knowing the other party had not been served. Why go to court when nothing can be accomplished unless you're simply trying to drain the retainer? It was hundreds of dollars wasted. I was also told by her that she would let me know whether I should come to court on another date. I emailed after not hearing anything weeks after and was told to come. I took off work, showed up, and she was not even there. Beyond all common courtesy, I was billed for the subsequent phone calls I made for showing up for no reason that amounted to less than 6 minutes. When I asked that they be removed, the immediate rebuttal was that they forgot $200 in fees on my invoice from months prior, but would be happy to remove the $50. I was also emailed someone else's extremely private DHR document instead of mine. Even after voicing my uneasiness to Wendy, I did not receive an apology. I have never received an apology for this unprofessionalism. I felt like a paycheck, not a valued client. The unethical treatment took an anxiety inducing situation and made it a complete nightmare. I hired her Dec 2017, and after $2,054 of legal fees, have gotten absolutely nothing accomplished.

Nick acted like he cared about my case. As the victim of long standing DV, ending with my ex being arrested and a SWAT team being involved, I thought I would finally see justice. Nope. Nick didn’t return phone calls/emails. I had proof my ex was violating multiple conditions of his bond order. Nick simply didn’t care. Transferred the case to Shelby County. There will be no consequences. So now my ex gets to do this to someone else. Nick is a coward. Lazy. Incompetent. Unprofessional.

My father was incarcerated for an incident against my brother and after I met with Nick for a consultation and within 3 minutes of talking with him, I hired him immediately. I had been struggling with my divorce for several years until Lilah stepped in. Lilah immediately put me at ease because I knew I was in the hands of a pro. What I liked most about Lilah is that she formulated a strategy for me. She gave me my options and explained the pros and cons of each so that I was still ultimately in control. She was straight forward not only with the strengths of my case but also equally blunt about my weaknesses. She refused to blow smoke up my skirt allowing me to have false confidence in the unlikely. I really respected that.
Lilah was also understanding of my financial situation by giving me advice to help me save money instead of cranking up the expenses as many attorneys do.
When it came time to put the case together, Lilah's expertise was obvious. She overwhelmed the other party with a clear and logical case that was supported with facts and legal precedence. It was unarguable. And it would've been an impossible feat by myself.
I am very happy with the results Lilah got for me.

I never planned on divorcing, so I had no clue how to even start the process and I felt quite overwhelmed. My first meeting with Lilah consisted of me learning a ton of complex details in words and explanations I could actually understand. Lilah took the time to explain the journey through divorce towards amiable co-existance and co-parenting. Lilah took my concerns seriously and respected my desire for harmonious dynamics between me and my ex. The forms and explanations she drafted and submitted were excellent in form and content- she really knows her business. The dialogue she gave me to use in court came in handy and helped me gain and maintain some agency in the courtroom. Lilah accepted and respected my priorities, so my divorce wasn't about money and acrimony, it was about learning the process and making the best decisions for my kids. I hired this attorney from a well-known law firm in San Francisco at the recommendation of a new friend. I was newly separated at a vulnerable time in my life. Lilah seemed confident and well spoken. However, she filed my case incorrectly with the court (which now has to be fixed), her firm over-billed, she did not provide any strategy or direction for my case (I came up with most of the strategy from the advice of friends) and she raised her voice to me several times, and was kinder to opposing counsel than she was to me -- and now I see why. She was looking for another job while her own firm dissolved. Beware this attorney. At the very least, she lacks the experience to handle a complicated family law case. Hire a certified family law specialist instead.

I went through a very horrible divorce, and an extremely difficult child custody battle. Robin would always listen to all of my concerns, and addressed them as best as she could. She was very sympathetic to the pain the difficulties put me through. She would always make sure that I had answers to all of my questions in a timely manner. She never lied to me or try to sugar coat anything. She would just let me know the plain, and sometimes very hard, truths. She very patiently walked me through the whole long process. She always made sure that I knew all the good and bad possibilities, and prepared me for every possible outcome. She would always reassure me through the discouraging phases, and rejoice with me in the victories. After informing me of all the possible options we could take, she wouldn’t push me to go one direction or the other but, she would wait patiently for my decision on which path to take. After I was fully informed and had made my decision then, she would pursue that path wholeheartedly, with all her knowledge and skills. Thankfully in the end we were wonderfully victorious in our case. I say “we” because, with Robin you won’t feel you’re going through it alone.
