David Corbett represented us in an appeal in the Washington State Court of Appeals, where he worked on our behalf to reverse a large default judgment. Even though the ultimate result was a split decision, we were both impressed by David and the high quality of his work. Because we are residents of Toronto, Canada, we never met David in person, but he was always available by phone or email on short notice, and consistently responsive to our concerns. He was also very good at explaining what was going on in the case as it progressed. We strongly recommend him to anyone who needs counsel for a civil appeal in Washington.

I am writing this review from the perspective of a client who has a case which has yet to be resolved. Therefore, my review of Mr. Corbett's work on my behalf is not influenced by a favorable or unfavorable outcome.
Integrity and brilliance best describe David Corbett.
He has the unique ability to know what the response will be from his opponent, prior to formulating an argument. This allows Mr. Corbett the ability to know if his argument will be strong or weak.
Mr. Corbett researches the applicable laws and previous rulings on similar cases so thoroughly that he is able to clearly articulate how the law applies to the case at hand. Not all judges and lawyers will research the applicable laws thoroughly. For this reason, Mr. Corbett is able to articulate effectively on behalf of his clients.
He has constantly kept me informed about his research, and his work on my behalf.
I have seen how his work developed because he shared his thoughts with me as he worked on my case.
He has restored my faith in the law, and in justice, regardless of the outcome of my particular case. If there is justice in the modern court system, he will find it.
On the subject of integrity, I have actually seen him with a stop watch in his hand so that he is only billing a client for time that is used on their behalf. I have never known any attorney to be so conscientious. I consider the work Mr. Corbett has done on my behalf to be one of the best investments I have ever made.
I trust him completely, and I highly recommend him.

Jerry is a terrific lawyer. My son was questioned by Homeland Security agents on a Sunday of a 4th of July weekend. He found Jerry on the internet and called him. Jerry answered the phone, he was in his office. He met my son that day. My wife and I met with him later and he seemed to understand the process very well. We hired him. What a great attorney. He was knowledgeable, a skilled negotiator, very good in court, and dedicated to my son's case. He made himself 100% available, the guy answers his phone at any hour! We knew that my son was guilty, but after several meetings with the prosecutor and court hearings he struck an agreement. My son was looking at 8-10 years hard time. He is serving 18 months in a prison camp. We paid Jerry a good sum, but it was well spent. I would recommend him highly.

He represented me in an EEO dispute with my employer. They were playing very dirty & trying to destroy a professional reputation I spent more than 10 years building. The employer used lies, manipulations such as pressuring my subordinates to file complaints about me or loose their own jobs to create a reason to fire me because I refused to participate in the illegal & unethical business practices my superiors were demanding I participate in.
Mr. Beckham worked tirelessly to protect my job & my reputation by hitting the agency & the corrupt leadership from every angle possible, to include involving Congress & other federal officials in the matters that pertained to my employer's deliberate violations relating to federal laws & policies to include their attempts to force me to misuse taxpayer money.
Without Mr. Beckham's foresight and preparations of ten steps ahead of their next moves, I would have been another statistic of the whistle blower that got stomped by "the man".
But I am not, in fact I was compensated for the hell they put me through, the lies in my records were removed & the actions taken by this attorney had far reaching consequences for the leadership members who perpetrated this attack as the agency has now three years later been cleaned out of most of the major players at that federal agency.

I was lucky enough to be represented by Mr. Beckham in a criminal appeal (along with several other people he was representing in similar cases). I had been fined and sentenced to jail time beyond what was allowed by the law. Mr. Beckham did not stand for this! I learned, though my experience with him, that he is an honest and hardworking attorney who fights to get the best possible outcome for everyone he serves. He definitely proved this by the work he did my case (and from what I saw him do at the Court of Appeals in the other cases he argued on the same day). I was amazed when he prepared a 25-page written argument, on my behalf, which turned out to be irrefutable! And, when it came to the oral arguments in my case, he did an outstanding job when he took on the 3-Judge Panel at the Cheyenne River Sioux Court of Appeals. This is a hardworking attorney who I believe is a great legal thinker; it shows in his writing and arguing skills. I was lucky to have him in my corner fighting for me - I won.

When I first walked into his office, I was a bit concern, after speaking to him at length, I knew he was the attorney for me. His staff was pleasant, professional and we are on a first name basis, Upon speaking to him, I was advise on how to resolve my issue on my own or retained him. I was told up front how much the fee would be without any hidden fees and if I choose to do things on my own I could always call back with additional questions. He and his staff were straight forward with me. I know that sometimes people speak badly about attorneys especially if they don't hear what they want to hear or have the outcome that they want. I would recommend him to any friends or family members.

Being in a business that is referral based only would seem risky to put your name on the line when referring an expert to your client. I was looking for a great attorney to refer to my client's too.
In my search, I was personally recommended to Mitch when I needed legal advice. My calls were returned promptly. Mitch listened to every detail and answered all my questions. Sandra is by far the best attorney in York, PA. Unlike most lawyers, her client is her priority. She listens, and explore all the necessary options before proceeding. Without getting into actual details, I will give you my experience with him. 10 years ago after spending money on the "Big Name" Attorney's in Tampa (who did nothing and had no plan) I ran into Mr. Baer, the new guy out of Texas. He made no promises but did some things at the time I thought were CRAZY! I was thinking "that sounds good, but just like the other Attorneys told me, no way they are going to go for that" I had that planted in my head, but Mr. Baer told me all they can do is turn us down. Still not convinced however, I let him do it his way. Now that I look back on it you can't do "normal things" and expect "crazy results" You have to be a little bit crazy if you want to crush it. That is exactly what he did CRUSHED IT! Everything he asked for we got! Stephen Baer is legit! If you have a Federal Case and you don't at least have him look at it. YOU ARE DOING YOURSELF AN INJUSTICE! Not that I would ever want to go through that again, but if I did the only person in my Corner I would want. Would be be Attorney Stephen Baer. Can't thank him enough. I just ran into his name again (10 years Later) while searching for immigration Attorney's. Couldn't be any happier. I will be hiring him again, if he will take my case.

Ms. Lewis (henceforth described as L) was introduced to me when i approached the law firm of Joshua Dratel LLC for a felony charge. There was no dispute that a crime had been committed. My first 2-3 meetings with L were also attended by Mr. Dratel (henceworth described as D) as we went over the details of the crime as well as an interview of my background as a non-criminal. The firm charged less for L's time than D's time. Despite that, L's approach was super professional and thorough. I am sure she discussed my case with D virtually every step of the way as she gathered the pertinent information and communicated with the prosecutor's office. The process required investigating the crime itself, my booking at the jail, information re: my medical history, and multiple conversations with the prosecutor's office. This latter phase was the most difficult since the prosecutor's office was so busy and often did not return phone calls and emails; none of which could be ascribed to lack of effort on L's side. We had multiple conversations about strategies and she clearly made every effort to figure out the most expeditious as well as the most effective to get my charge reduced. Of course, i would have loved a full dismissal but that was not realistic. For a first timer like me, the court appearances were especially intimidating. The idea was that we would eventually agree on an offer from the prosecutor's office once the charges were reduced. The first court appearance was effectively a bust since the prosecutor was not ready to make a solid offer; the excuse being they hadn't had the time to really think through the case. Hence my second court appearance was scheduled for 6 weeks later. At both appearances, L met with me a good 15 min before our scheduled time to go over her communications with the prosecutor's office and explained in detail the ramifications of what the ultimate agreement would mean. There are so many places one can land. Dismissal, dismissal with conditions, disorderly conduct, disorderly conduct with certain conditions, and other misdemeanors. Ultimately, i accepted a plea of disorderly conduct with conditions which in this case was better than dismissal with conditions. This would be the reverse of what one would think is better in the long run. But L explained to me in careful and patient detail why this choice was much better than the other choices. This whole judicial process can be very anxiety producing however having L represent me and be by my side all the way reduced the angst and turmoil. Having her explain the different nuances made it easy for me to accept the final judgement. Without doubt, I would turn to her again (God forbid) if I have another occasion to be in trouble.

I engaged Lindsay for my father- to help get his grand larceny sentenced reduced after meeting certain restitution conditions in his plea agreement. What should have been a simple exercise was anything but; complicated by a difficult cast of characters including a tough judge and various opposing forces.
Prior counsel had spent months on this issue with no success. Lindsay wrangled these forces like a pro. Within days she was walking into a hearing with consent of the parties and, when it looked like the judge might balk, was prepared with the case law to substantiate her position. Lindsay got my father re-sentenced in a matter of days.
Lindsay Lewis is a smart and capable attorney. And, unlike many other lawyers, returns phone calls. I could not recommend anyone more highly than I recommend Lindsay. I sincerely hope I never need to use Lindsay again, however, if I were ever to get into trouble myself, she would be my one phone call.

I hired attorney Smith for a child custody case. I had temporary custody of two of my grandchildren and after 4 years of temporary custody Attorney Smith helped me make this permanent. My Son and and I met Ellen Saideman due to a Plan drawn up at his high school, by his Teacher and the school Therapist. This Plan stated that due to my Autistic Sons' stress level and social anxieties, that he be limited in attending class functions such as field trips, and outings where he could be taught to interact in social situations. This Plan excluded him from such activities by denying him to go on all day activities outside of the school, by suggesting that he remain at home on said day or if it was raining or snowing, he was not to attend school on those days, as he had anxiety on those days. As we know, this drawn up an between Teacher and Therapist was unacceptable and unlawful. Attorney Saideman assured this school and it's faculty that it was indeed against the law and against Special Needs groups to have such a Plan in place.
Attorney Saideman, my Son, certain members of school faculty and myself, sat down to a meeting of what was and was not acceptable and all that it entailed in this situation and all was resolved.
Ellen Saideman was also instrumental in taking the time to get to know my Son by reading all school records and by including him in our meetings.
We were both appreciative in the assistance and guidance that was offered us by Ellen. She is very knowledgeable, professional and sensitive to the needs of those who cannot speak for themselves.
