I reached out to Skipper Law after I and some other owners at my condominium got into a dispute with our HOA over fire damage.
I was put in touch Jeff, who was great! Jeff really gave me the sense that his interest was to figure out how to make the financially damaged parties in my case whole. Some other lawyers I'd talked to seemed more eager to sell me services then to figure out how to recover damages. Not Jeff. At several points, I asked about different legal options and his response was that could do them for me and charge me, but that ultimately they would do little to help my case.
Thankfully, Jeff steered us away from suing, and helped us find other ways to get compensation.
I would trust Jeff implicity to look after legal affairs and to provide sound legal advice.

Hired Atty Schonland to fight a traffic ticket where the State Trooper charged me with 3 different violations -- speeding, improper lane change, and improper passing. I was doing about 90. I paid my fee by credit card online, and heard nothing at all other than the attorney would be there for the hearing. I was sweating, but he showed up. His appearance wasn't that polished, but what a great advocate! He obviously knew what he was doing -- said he had represented truckers consistently in vehicle matters. State cops were not about to let any of the charges go until the Atty started saying that we'd appeal, and that I had a witness that would testify that I wasn't speeding (my girlfriend was in the car) and he questioned the radar gun. He was very impressive. They dropped 2 of 3 charges, and reduced the speeding to the minimum speeding ticket. Well worth having him there and I'd hire him again for matters like this.

Atty. Schonland provided me with defense of a speeding ticket. From the initial phone conversation it was clear that Atty. Schonland is knowledgeable and experienced with the law for this area. Atty. Schonland represented me at the clerk magistrate’s hearing and had a well prepared motion that referenced the facts and the law. The magistrate found against me but Atty. Schonland made all of the necessary arguments and it was clear that nothing would have convinced the magistrate that it was even possible I was not guilty. Atty. Schonland explained the pros and cons of the appeal to me and even encouraged me to settle, which of course would have meant less business for him. I decided to appeal. Atty. Schonland brought the motion to the appeal which was based on the facts and a little known law that he was aware of called the “No fix” law. The judge had no choice but to either grant the motion Atty. Schonland had prepared or ignore the law. Our motion was granted and thus I am in the clear. The outcome is that there is no fine and no points on my driving record. I am very pleased with Atty. Schonland.

I filed for divorce in 2005. It took over 3 years to finally get my dissolution of marriage completed in 2008.
Since, 2011 I have basically been litigated against by my ex-wife and her new attorney non-stop. My other attorney (who was also a family friend) quit because she got tired of handling it and I started handling everything Pro Se.
In June 2016, I finally had enough and asked another attorney friend of mine to a family a referral. He recommended the office of Christine Derr. Christine put Kim Hamill on the case.
I want to tell you that Kim is probably the most capable, most well prepared attorney that I have every worked with.
Kim meticulously researched and countered all the opposing attorney's issues, resulting in ALL his motions basically being denied. As a result the case, that has dragged on for YEARS now looks to finally be coming to an end even though Kim has only been on a case a short time.
I emphatically recommend Kim Hamill for any family law case that you may have. I am sure she is probably just as capable in other areas of law as well but I have not personally see her in those areas.

Attorney Luther knows the law and quotes the case laws like the back of her hand. She is extremely knowledgeable, organized and thorough. I was facing the option of having to appeal a ruling or petitioning for the judge to vacate their ruling and grant a new case. In my case, the judge imediately vacated their ruling and granted a new case. Attorney Luther did more than I thought was possible. She was realistic with me about my options and the potential outcomes and I felt confident having her on my team. She was effective in arguing my case after only having a short amount of time to prepare. She located and subpoenad information that my previous attorney did not obtain and appears to be very respected by the courts. She has over 2 decades of experience and I pity the attorney that opposes her if they don't have their work done. I would hire her again and again and again should the need ever arise but hopefully the need doesn't arise.

I hired Attorney Luther to handle my child custody/legitimization case. I was sued by my NCP. Both the NCP and I were originally filed as Pro Se until the NCP retained counsel. I didn't think much about retaining counsel due to financial reasons and my supporting documents to substantiate my case. But upon NCP obtaining counsel, the filing changed. My case went from the NCP trying to establish visitation to him wanting to take full custody of our child. I had to retain her at the last minute, and it was one best decisions I made in regards to this legal matter. She IMMEDIATELY went to work on my case! She filed motions within the 2 hours of being retained. With that being said, her 25 years of experience and good reputation with Judges was a determining factor in the judge allowing for a Continuance while I prepare with my attorney; the judge definitely made that known.
Attorney Luther is very upfront and direct and detailed. She works very hard for you but she also expects the same from her client. As a client, help her to help you! Communicate thoroughly your needs, wants and expectations and she will be very honest with you and work hard to achieve the requests of her clients.
She came to court prepared and ready! Every time opposing counsel tried to submit evidence that was not reviewed, lead a witness or imply negligent wrongdoing without supporting documentation and proof - Attorney Luther was on point to stop the opposing counsel dead in their tracks! I was very proud of her performance in Court and the overall outcome of the case. Her opening and closing arguments were phenomenal. The way she thoroughly questioned the witnesses and opposing parties were impressive.
My advice: Be prepared! You have expectations of her as a lawyer, and she has expectations of you as a client. If you are wanting her to work on your behalf, you need to be able to provide whatever she asks her within the deadline she has given to you. I had retained her at truly the last minute possible and therefore I had to beat feet and get her everything within a very tight deadline. But because I am thorough and detailed myself, I brought most of that information with me when I retained her. But I still had more to do. She explained that her deadlines are to allow her and her staff time to comply with her deadlines to file motions and submit requests and such with the court.
There is nothing negative that I can say about Attorney Luther or her staff. I would recommend her to anyone! I know that if I never hired her, that my case would not have come out the way that it did.

I was pulled over for an OWI some months ago and hired John Steinhart as my legal representation. My professional license and career has been a challenged by this. Dorie Rogers helped me to be awarded full physical custody/shared legal- I have final say on legal matters- from my son’s abusive and narcissistic father. For 13+ years I have dealt with attorneys that just seem to want to spin drama and then hike the bill up over it. Ms. Rogers didn’t buy into the drama from dad’s side. She was strategic and used her knowledge about the psychological aspects of our case. She recommended an amazing reunification counselor that contributed to the health and safety of our son. (Father defaulted on the reunification). She has an efficient team with her Parallegal and Office Manager Daenna and team backing her. Because of the issues that the Covid situation has presented, all the legal work had to be conducted through home offices and distance. Her office was very good at keeping me updated and communicating with court and our reunification counselor. They were really together even in the middle of all this community chaos. Ms. Rogers is expensive but she is worth every penny spent. Thanks to her efforts as an attorney my son is now going to be able to thrive, live his best life possible and feel safe every day. I am keeping Dorie as my attorney and if/when our shared legal becomes an issue I will not hesitate to have her represent me in court again to make it a non-issue.

Mr. Depper was kind but firm in what I would need to do to resolve my legal issues. The first face to face meeting his confidence was apparent and his knowledge of the system was strong. I was nervous and really did not think any lawyer would care to go the distance with my family.
Not only did Mr. Depper go the distance but he gave me sound advice, answered all my questions, calls, and messages regardless of how emotionally distraught or anxious I was. He is a very good listener and does his homework.
I thought at the beginning of my case there was no hope and I would be railroaded by the system. With Mr. Depper there was no chance of this happening. Even when I was ready to settle for anything just to get the case closed he was still fighting for us. I had a lot of work to do and he was very up front about my responsibilities. With each step he was encouraging, and supportive. He never once backed down. Throughout the case I kept telling myself what he had told me from the very beginning. "Your case depends on how many hoops they throw at you that you are willing to jump through...with a smile on your face". I would jump again. He was right. Even if they set them on fire he was there to put it out.
Strong, knowledgeable, supportive, and someone that has a good ethic. I feel privileged to have had him on my side. I was able to walk out with my chin up, and faith restored.

This summer I found myself in serious trouble and in need of legal help but had no idea how to find an attorney that would handle my type of problem. After searching and asking around, I stumbled onto the AVVO website. When I found Mr. Depper's page I noticed he had taken the time to answer more than 60 legal questions. I read his responses and I liked the way he answered people. He was very clear, to the point and helpful to those with inquiries. I contacted him via email through his website and he responded a few minutes later.
When I met him in person I found his demeanor matched the person depicted in the legal responses. I learned very quickly that I did not have to explain things in a hurry to him. He listened to everything I had to say and let me explain in my own way. He carefully looked through everything I had to show him asked questions for clarification and took a lot of notes. He explained the challenges that I would be facing and explained the general process of resolving my case. He answered all of my questions and when I didn't understand something he seemed to be happy to go over it again. When I walked out of his office that day I felt a tremendous relief. I felt like he had a thorough understanding of my situation and of me as an individual. I felt blessed to have a strong advocate with a solid plan.
We had three additional meetings and two phone conversations before my hearing took place. Mr. Depper stayed true to his initial character. He always answered all of my questions , he listened and did not rush me. He addressed every issue I raised by either telling me how he was handling it or making me understand why it was irrelevant. He never allowed our meetings to conclude without making certain I had no more questions. He always invited me to contact him if I had questions but that it was never necessary to contact him since he answered everything up front.
When it came time to go to court he met with me and explained how the hearing would proceed. On the morning of the hearing he spent a few minutes with me beforehand to make sure i was calm and did not have any questions or concerns. During the hearing I was a little in awe of him. He was very organized and well prepared. He systematically raised for consideration every issue we had concerns with. He kept everyone on topic including the opposing attorney. When the hearing was over he talked with me again. We briefly reviewed what transpired in the hearing and he let me know what to expect next. A few weeks later we learned that his defense was successful and there were no more steps to take.
I am very grateful to Mr. Depper for really hearing me, for taking my case and fighting for me. He is truly a blessing.

I touched base with the Morris & Dean Law Firm after several failed attempts to close this case with two previous repidable Atanta based criminal attorneys.
I was driving up to Detrout MI from Los Angeles CA to visit relatives. I stopped off for a few beers along the way in GA and that's were my troubles began.
I was charged with hit and run, open container, and a warrant was issued for failure to appear. I was facing jail time, heavy fines, and the loss of my CDL because I am a commercial truck driver.

I was in deportation process for seven years; my deportation/asylum court hearing was postponed several times. At this point, I contacted Chris. I told him my personal story- I was tortured in Syria and seeked asylum in the US. When I arrived in the US, I was detained for 48 days in Houston once I arrived. Chris was so moved by my experience, that offered to take my case for free! Chris gathered all the necessary documents from me and went through great efforts on my behalf. Gracie Shepherd was our attorney in my custody battle for my son. It was a long brutal fight that involved multiple hearings in front of multiple judges.
