I would absolutely not recommend this firm. I interviewed them and they looked on the outside like they could help. The one thing they are good at is billing for things they did not do. I was charged $2000.00 To review all the facts on the case. I put the information into a three ring binder and had it delivered to their office. They didn't even know they had it (they did sign for it ) but they charged me to read it. We had several court dates that they missed and didn't even show up. The last one I met them at the courthouse and once we were there the figured out that court was two days before that and they didn't even know it. David Cantor actually showed up and said I need to find new counsel because they can not handle my case. This is after almost one year of him billing me. I can go on for a long time on the issues they had and how unprofessional they handled my case but it does not matter now I have retained a different firm. Save your money and hire someone that cares and is going to work with you and in my opinion Cantor Law group is not for me. If you want to find this out just call their office and ask for a specific attorney and try to deal with there receptionist. This alone should send you running.

Cantor Law Firm won a case for me (DUI) that I felt was unwinnable...but they told me to have faith. The man hours and research done as well as their great communication w/ me was worth every penny.
Many attorneys look to settle. Cantor looks to fight.
Many thanks to Cantor and especially Christine Whalin (extremely intelligent and savvy).
U folks saved my life. Thank u so much.

I have been a medical marijuana patient since the inception of the state program in 2011. When I first obtained my medical card, I was allowed the privilege to cultivate my own medicine. I was allowed this privilege until spring of 2013, once the dispensaries started opening. Against my better judgement, I continued to grow my own medicine the last several years, and an unfortunate unrelated backyard fire last summer called the fire department as well as the police to my rental property.
One of the first responding officers sensed this was a possible grow house, and in a violation of my 4th amendment, opened a closed side door into my house. From there she was able to secure a warrant, and 6 months later, myself and a friend were being charged with 5 different felonies, ranging from Class 5 to Class 4.
I had never been in trouble with the legal system before, and immediately retained a lawyer at another law office, but once my charges came through, they told me they couldn't even LOOK at my case further until I paid them $30,000. I had already paid them $5,000 and they hadn't done any of the things they had said they would.
At this point, frustrated, I began to research other defense attorneys. I went to a big firm in downtown Phoenix, but I just felt like I was getting a sales pitch from one of their legal aides. The guy I spoke to wasn't even a lawyer, and only seemed concerned with how much money I could get access to and if I would retain them right away. It literally felt like buying a car at a dealership.
Fortunately, I had stumbled across David's profile on AVVO, and decided to make a consultation.
From the very first time I sat with him, he made me me feel at ease with regards to my charges. He didn't seem arrogant or braggadocious like the other attorneys I had consulted with prior, and he charged me a VERY reasonable fee to handle my case.
All throughout the case, his paralegals and himself stayed in constant contact, whether by email, text, or phone call.
The prosecutor offered myself and my friend plea deals, and while the deal was great; no jail time, 2 years probation, and 100 community service, and an undesignated felony. I still felt that MY rights were violated by the police officer that just opened my door to get probable cause, and I didn't want to deal with any of the probation or fines. I decided to press on and take it to trial.
David ended getting me my optimal result, all charges dismissed without prejudice.
I can now move on with my life without having the fear of going to jail or a felony on my record.
I would definitely recommend David Black and his entire law firm to anyone facing criminal charges or just needing some legal advice. He's a solid guy, and I always felt like I was in good hands and not being scammed.
Thanks David!

I highly recommend the Law Offices of David A. Black. David and his staff were absolutely amazing. David, along with his staff, were easy to communicate with, quick to respond, and available when needed. Their professionalism as well as their empathy for clients' needs was truly impressive. I could not have picked better representation. Thanks to David and his impeccable work, all pending charges I faced were completely dismissed. I am truly pleased and grateful for his representation.

I had a difficult divorce to say the least about it. I made several calls to different law firms. Cantor was on my top list of lawyers to go with and I’m very glad I did.
Attorney Bryan was extremely helpful and kind and made the process as easy as possible for me. His paralegal Robyn was attentive to my needs and pushed hard to get my divorce over quickly. If I had a question both were quickly responsive and direct in advice.
No question whatsoever about choosing Cantor Law to represent me. Should I need services again, or a friend, I would use and recommend them.

Very happy with this team. I went to trial with Jason Karpel and we won. I am thankful for this firm and Jason. He fought for me and didn't back down. Every little thing he went after and didn't stop. Thank you.

In April 2014, our family was faced with the most unfathomable legal battle any family could ever imagine. Having never been in trouble with law enforcement for nothing more than a speeding ticket, trying to determine where to turn for a lawyer we could trust, was something that we had absolutely no experience at.
Having just turned 18 years old a few months prior, our son had been arrested and charged with 30 counts and was facing over 350 years in prison. How do you navigate that? Who do you turn to when something like this happens to your family? As we were in pure panic mode when he was arrested, we paused, took a breath and looked diligently at many firms.
We ultimately found our comfort and confidence in The Cantor Law Firm. Their team was professional, knowledgeable and went right to work on navigating the tangled web of chaos presented for our son’s case. This wasn’t an easy task, as the case had prompted local, national and ultimately, worldwide media coverage.
The team of lawyers and support staff assembled to battle what appeared to be a lost battle right out of the gate, was nothing short of amazing!
Michael Alarid III, who was one of the lead attorneys assigned to our son’s case, did an incredible job, both inside and outside of the courtroom. His personal and hands on approach to his client was something that made all the difference in the outcome, and kept our son from serving the rest of his life in prison.
Michael’s work ethic and long hours vested into bringing our son home, was exactly the type of attorney we were searching for when the chaos started. We are forever indebted to The Cantor Law Firm and hope this review helps other families faced with their own legal challenges. There are countless firms available to choose from, we’re thankful that we made the right choice when we selected this one.

It was awful. I needed them for family court. They started out very professional then I paid my retainer, but I was never represented, my lawyer favored the father. I also never met my lawyer everything was done over the phone. Only paperwork was completed and that cost me $7500. My lawyer tried to force me to settle. When I refused he became frustrated with me. When he asked for more money I let him know I didn't have any at the moment. He then refused to go to court and told me "Don't litigate like a millionaire if you can't pay like one." and by going to court I will be taking food out of his kids mouth because it was $2500 more to represent me in court. It is not that I didn't have it just I didn't have it when he wanted it. I had just gave them $7500.00 a month and a half before. He told me I would lose, I will end up paying the fathers court fees and he believed the settlement was fair... Well I am representing myself now and had I known what I know now I would have never hired a lawyer. My lawyer (Bryan Blehm) knew nothing about my case, when I asked him questions he never gave me any straight answers, his paralegal is the one who knew more about it. Word of advice to anyone wanting to use this law firm be prepared to over pay for their services. You really just need a good paralegal and you can represent yourself. Cantor will do just enough to represent you and say they fought hard for you and make you look like your the one being unreasonable for calling them out on doing the minimum and over charging you for it. If you don't mind overpaying for a lawyer go ahead and use this firm. They will treat you better if you are a millionaire. Unfortunately, I am not so my experience was very bad.
