If we'd try to handle this on our own, we would have been lost. The appeals process calls for a lot of procedure of which the general public has no knowledge. We were very pleased with our lawyer, Taylor Ballou, who kept us well informed, prepped us, and did a great job at the hearing. This was money very well spent.

This was a terrible, agonizing, stressful, and high anxiety experience These people are uncompromising when it comes to payment. As a result I do not have representation for a big hearing with the EDD that has already been extended. Due to some glitch or whatever it is that has flagged this false statement as a result I have not been paid on my EDD claim since last year. This has put me so far behind to the point where i was nearly evicted out of my apartment. I have been out of work and working with temp agencies with sporadic work of which I could not do a full payment plan before the cut off date the way I hoped for. When I tried explaining the situation the day before my hearing and how I was waiting until Friday my payday in full, Avital was very rude, short, and curt with me. No compassion at all. I explained and pleaded with her to understand to which I asked to speak with a super visor. She was just gate keeping. I had a check deposited into my account today, but a standard 24 hour hold was placed. I just can't believe they couldn't wait not even a mere 24 hours for the funds to clear from my bank due to a 24 hour hold that would be placed that's beyond my control. My remaining balance was $750 and I paid an initial $250 retainer up front. They would have received over half today $500 and the balance of $250 i would have given them my account number for direct debit, which I was more than happy to do. There has been barley any communication from the beginning with these people which has lead to me having to have had the case rescheduled the first time. Just no compassion here and they won't even refund my retainer. No representation at all on a matter I Truly needed help on because this EDD packet is huge alleging false statements that's overwhelming so I was hoping for some help here from the experts. I begged Daphine the billing supervisor to help me to which callously said no. Whats troubled me even more was that they were saying that my case was still trying to be assigned a lawyer so now it's leading me to believe that even if I paid them, I would've gotten a rush representation for a very important matter. I submitted all documents to them. I guess no one reviewed them. I understand this is a business but this is about as cut throat as it gets. I’m really worried what the outcome will be now. I don't recommend using them at all. I know it doesn’t mean much these days but I am going to be filing a complaint with the BBB

After doing some research of law firms, I decided to go with Pershing Square Law Firm. I was audited by the EDD and they claimed I owed them several thousand dollars in overpayments. I knew there had to be some errors. The day before my court date, Assaf and my attorney Eli went over all the procedures throughly. The day of the hearing I felt at ease. The decision came back and I ended up owing the EDD a few hundred dollars. Eli did an excellent job representing me. I highly recommend Pershing Square Law Firm.

Spoke to Daphne, who was very unprofessional and rude. They collected a retainer from me and then notified me that they would not be able to represent me the Friday before my court date, leaving me with limited to NO option to be able to retain another before Monday. Would NOT recommend this place to anyone!

It was very disappointing when I lost the case and they told me you should’ve hired a magician if you wanted to win the case.

I was kind of hesitant that my case could be dismissed because the EDD was saying I left my job voluntarily and that I gave false information. However, I did a free consultation with Pershing and explained how the situation really was and the attorney told me I had a good case. Assaf and his colleague prepared me for the hearing and explained to me how the law was on my side prior to the hearing. My case got dismissed and it was worth every penny. It’s was such a great experienced to work with this law firm, but it has to be super lucky to have Charlie as our lawyer to represent us on our recent hearing. Without Charlie hard works on guiding us how to go through this we wouldn’t be able to win this case. Waste of money. They pretended to know what they were doing but in fact I never had a designated attorney until the same week my hearing was scheduled. When I finally spoke to Miguel “he’s no longer with the firm”, he didn’t even look in my file to understand my case. He mistakenly thought I was someone else when we were on the phone. Court hearing was a disaster. When results arrived, another attorney directed me to send an appeal to the board but then disappeared from helping me. I wouldn’t recommend this firm to represent your case.
