I am forever grateful to Vanessa Gnekow and her team (especially Patricia and Shannon) for everything they did for my daughter and I. Two years ago because my daughter went to visit my ex in another state and he did not return her to me on the agreed upon date that we had discussed. I was in a state of panic in trying to figure out how to get my daughter back. I initially hired another attorney that did nothing for 4 weeks., so I felt the need to seek out out another attorney, and that's when I found Vanessa Gnekow. Upon retaining Vanessa Gnekow, she had my daughter back to me within a week because of the ex-parte that she filed. After getting my daughter back my ex then filed for a move-away, so Vanessa Gnekow represented me for two long years. When the case first began, I tried to go about it without an attorney but quickly did I learn that it is not as easy as it may seem. This was my first divorce and first real legal experience. Long story as short as possible, I had a previous attorney that drafted an agreement that me and my now ex wife had came up with, however this attorney messed up and didn’t do his do diligence. When my ex wife got evil and wanted out of the contract she challenged the contract and got herself an attorney who is as sheisty as she is. My ex wife and her attorney made up multiple lies and accusations against me. Vanessa came in at the last minute and stepped up to the plate like a boss and handled it. She is on top of her game and will take care of you, she was upfront and honest with possible outcomes, but she was also dedicated and determined. Vanessa is a winner, save yourself time, energy and money. I tried to go the cheap route and get my matter settled with just any attorney and unfortunately he was not able to finish the job. I wish I would’ve went with Vanessa in the first place. She brought my case to a victory. I found out you get what you pay for, and Vanessa and her team are worth every penny. I had a great experience with Venessa after having her take over my case. The previous lawyer did not know what he was doing. She explained everything to make sure I got what I wanted. My case was taking a long time and finally got closed.

Don’t hesitate, retain Mrs. Gnekow as soon as you need her. Even during a pandemic, while the courts were short staffed and missing paper work or messing up schedules and transcripts (Which I can verify were errors within the courts) Vanessa fought and fought to get us back on track and make sure we stayed on track during our rocky trial. It is not common for the father to gain full custody of his child but this law firm made it happen. My attorney was Vanessa and she was so helpful and very aggressive when need be. Vanessa was very down to earth and understanding of my situation and very open to all my ideas. I was referred to Vanessa from a friend and I am SO GLAD I WAS!! She is the sweetest cut throat lawyer you will ever meet! She first represented my friend during his divorce. He is in the military and was deployed on a ship. She handled everything for him while he was under way and kept him updated through out every step.
