So after 4 months of thinking my case involving a infestation of mice & rats(caught 15)was being worked on, I found out that my case was terminated almost immediately after accepting my case because I answered no to one of the criminal background questions that mentioned having any recent criminal activities etc which is true, over 6 years plus is not recent so I guess they don’t trust to represent us because of that I feel it’s discrimination because what does having a criminal record have to do with us needing the help?! It shouldn’t have even taking me reaching out to find this out. Very unprofessional for a law firm & they don’t have your best interest obviously.. like how you can’t sympathize with a family that obviously needs representation & justice from & very inhabitable situation if that’s your job?!

I had a quick session with Julie Hartlé , first of all, she is an amazing person, very understanding, and also very professional and well-informed about the issues we were having. She has an extensive background with different housing departments and also knows disability law very well. She gave me sound advice and we set up a follow-up. I can say that I am very happy with the value they provided me in this session and highly recommend them.

My experience with Tenant Law Group, Justin and his team, was great! I enlisted the assistance from Tenant Law Group for a flooding and mold situation that my landlord didn't want to mitigate properly in October 2022. We ultimately could not stay in the apartment due to the mold, so we moved out due to the carpet being placed over the mold amd unsafe/unhealthy environment. Tenant Law Group took our case, communicated step by step to manage expectations, and our case was professionally closed and mitigated out of court July 2024, resulting in a fair resolution with fair enough monitary compensation for the inconveniences that we endured from a slum lord situation. We are happy with the results and grateful for the professionalism and support received from the Tenant Law Group Team. There were no up-front costs, which made the process financially easier to sustain. Great value for the time/hours putnin, dedication, and care the team took with this case. I am extremely disappointed with Tenant Law Group's handling of my constructive eviction case over the past three years. They made a settlement offer without my consent, provided incorrect legal advice, and ignored urgent communications. There were multiple staff changes without notification, which caused significant delays. Despite requesting my case file almost four weeks ago, I still have not received it. Communication has been abysmal, with countless unreturned emails and voicemails. Our lawyer frequently forgot key details about our case and claimed to have "no recollection" of conversations we had with him.

Extortionists

I have had several consultations and interactions with Tenant Law Group since 2022 (and mostly recently with Paul Collins, Trial Counsel; Lis Fiekowsky, Attorney; Andrea Lavin, Case Manager; and Tom Gatti, Chief Growth Officer). In each and every case my dealings with Tenant Law Group have been extremely positive and informative. With regard to my most recent consultations, both Paul and Lis provided invaluable information and possible solutions on how to deal with my ongoing noisy neighbor situation while also setting realistic expectations. I would definitely recommend Tenant Law Group if you are grappling with a tenant's right issue or tenant-landlord problem. The other thing I would mention is that they are very responsive. Calls and emails are always promptly answered and I feel like my issue is a priority for them.

They are like broker attorneys who sub contract with other attorneys. They lie about the amount that they can get for you so that they can hook you. They took 39.99 % from my settlement. Tim is evil out of vengeance he will wait till the last day to send your payment if he thinks you gave him a hard time. We settled back in December 2023 after a very long period and I just now July 2024 received my settlement check and it was for less then what I agreed.

Attorneys fees at Potter Handy are 40%!! Along with any other fee they would want to put on the balance sheet! I would look for attorneys who offer reasonable fee terms, something like 33.3% or lower. Shop around.

I will say they did in fact listen to me I guess I'm just not a good fitting case to be taken on. The referrals however I've already spoken to at least half the entities suggested to be turned away just like tenant law group. Idk what to do anymore. This long running harassment, threats and basically fear mongering in order to get what they want regardless of having enough proof to correct them isn't stopping. I fear if it continues it will cause irreversible damage mentally, physically and emotionally for both my mother and I and we have no one willing to help. I've contacted HUD with complaints they just call the office ask a few questions then call me back saying well it sounds like the manager is doing their job not caring for the proof I have otherwise and Legal Services of Northern California will say I have enough proof to correct the issue and not that my case. I've tried correcting every issue that my elderly disabled mother and I have had to fight throughout the years of living under a slumlord companies management only for them to not care that I prove them wrong and still threaten and harass us otherwise they'll push eviction.
