Four years ago I was diagnosed with coronary artery disease which required a quadruple bypass surgery to correct. Having been in law enforcement for thirty seven years, I believed my condition might have been job related so I spoke with attorney Gold Lee about a possible Workers compensation claim. This issue was complicated by the the fact that I had retired in 2010 and the diagnosis had occurred seven years after that retirement date. Mr. Lee told me that he could not promise anything but his firm was willing to try to help me if I wanted to proceed. Mr. Lee accepted my case and assigned the case to Attorney Nyrie Kayekjian. Never have I been so impressed by a lawyer and her efforts. Ms. Kayekjian was outstanding advocate on my behalf, keeping me advised of the progress of the case, answering in detail all of my questions, and exhibiting excellent professionalism throughout the entire process. Although it took three years to resolve the case, her efforts were highly successful and a settlement was reach which twice the dollar amount that I had hoped for. I can’t thank Ms. Kayekjian and the Law firm of Lewis, Marenstein, Wicke, Sherwin, and Lee, enough for their efforts on my behalf. Jeffrey Swartz handled my case in a timely and professional manner. He took the time to explain the process and answer all of my questions, which resulted in a settlement that is helping with my physical condition. His Assistant, Mitzi Sedillo, was able to take care of issues I had with a therapist and with receiving my reimbursement checks. After my phone calls to her, she had the issues handled within a day.

I had never had to do a a workers' compensation claim. I was explained and walked through every step of the way. It sucks not knowing what to do and talk to someone about a life changing event which involved presumptive conditions. After dealing with them I learned a lot and let them fill out all of the tedious and detailed paperwork that is required and requested otherwise it would have been a big mess and denial of work benefits and entitlements.
