My name is retired Peace Officer Richard Glasman. In 2014, I was attacked by 8 inmates while working for the California Of Department of Correction as a sworn officer youth correctional counselor. Fist of all , my hero attorney Superman Jeff Swartz and his assistant Mitzi Ramirez got me RECENTLY 6/2020 AN AWARD OF 1.6 MILLION. State Compensation Insurance Fund although they were extremely nice [ Rebecca Lopez their adjuster] and their team of 6 lawyers [Goliath] were taken on just one really nice, caring , didn't mind me bugging him sometimes 8 times a day ATTONEY Jeff Swartz [ ROCKY BALBOA ] . My court date was finally 5-2018. Rocky [ JEFF SWATZ] was on the right side of the courtroom with my dear wife Janis and on the Left side were the Lawyers for the CDCR who awarded me the Medal OF Valor who really couldn't care less about me and my wife and treated me like a criminal rather than an outstanding officer who need 9 surgeries including 3 back fusions and a neck fusion saving the life of a black inmate 8 Hispanic gang members wanted to kill by getting my keys but I refused. Absolutely, the CDCR TREATS their employees who are injured saving a life worse than the criminals there. After 8 hours of court testimony is was up to the judges ruling. At the end of August I RECEIVED in the mail a notice saying I won 1.6 million. As I was thinking finally I can pay back the money I borrowed because they were only giving me 1160 a month since 3/2017 I received a letter in the mail from the CDCR SAYING they are appealing the Van Nuys Courts opinion TO THE APPEALS WORKERS COMP COURT IN SAN FRANCISCO. It devastated me because we had no money in the bank and now what the CDCR WAS DOING TO ME WAS WORSE THAN THE 8 CRIMINALS . THAT TRIED TO KILL ME. Finally in Nov 2019 , I received in the mail a notice saying I won again. Finally I thought it was over. Nope, THE CDCR Decided to stick it to me harder thinking I would give up and appealed my case again to the Ca Appellate Court in Downtown Los Angeles. CDCR SAID IN THEIR OPIONION I WAS ONLY 94 PERCENT DISABLED WHICH EQUALLED AROUND 200, 000. Five times a day I checked the Ca Appellate website for my status. You wouldn't believe the pain physically and the pain emotionally and financially I was going thru. I was so scared of being run over by the CDCR LIKE ALL the other stories of brave officers who practically gave the life but got nothing in return from them. My injury made it where I couldn't get an erection, go to the bathroom without a suppository's and out of control blood pressure going over 250 over 130 with no warning. I really felt like a failure and it was me against the world trying to give my beautiful wife Janis who had breast cancer and chemo throughout all their appeals. Finally in 4/20 , I woke up a checked the Ca APPELATATE WEBSITE AND THEIR APPEAL WAS DENIED AND I WON FOR GOOD. Yes, ATTORNEY JEFF SHWARTZ ABOSULTELY WITH HIS ASSISTANT MITZI took on the CDCR FIGHTING FOR MY WIFE AND ME AND MY 1.6 MILLION WAS FINALIZED. Besides the money I also just needed another back fusion and it was done immediately. So, JEFF AND MITI GOT ME A- 1.6 MILLION B- LIFETIME MEDICAL C- BACAME ONE OF OUR BEST FRIENDS FOR LIFE
