Mr. Stanley represented my adult son on two felony assault charges and a harassment misdemeanor charge all received in Jefferson County. After reviewing backgrounds on several lawyers my son decided to hire Mr. Stanley as the lawyer to represent him. That was the best decision he has ever made! The facts of the charges were not in my son’s favor. Despite the obstacles Mr. Stanley managed to defend him to the District Attorney resulting in a plea agreement of a deferred judgment (and probation), which means the felonies will be dismissed in two years. My son will be able to continue his life without any felony convictions. The strategy Mr. Stanley used was to present both District Attorneys with a well written and convincing narrative utilizing character reference letters for my son from his friends, counselors and family that know him best and could vouch for his personal character and non-violent personality. Mr. Stanley then contacted the two different Deputy DAs assigned to each case and went over and over his argument to give my son a break. I don’t have any criminal case experience except from books I’ve read and movies I’ve seen. But this strategy seemed to get my son’s background and personal character in front of the District Attorneys and helped explaining why he/she might consider giving my son a second chance to redeem himself for the charges. In addition, because Mr. Stanley convinced the DA in the harassment case to allow a lower-level misdemeanor and dismiss the original higher misdemeanor, my son may eventually be able to seal the record on the entire case. Mr. Stanley was able to secure my son a great outcome in both cases. I highly recommend him as possibly the best lawyer you could hire in Jefferson County for criminal representation.

I found James F. Stanley online, I looked at several different attorneys and read there reviews, he immediatley stood out. I contacted his office late friday afternoon and Jim immediately responded saturday morning. I was shocked that he took time out of his weekend to get the ball rolling. He hit the ground running, he was very thorough with asking questions about my case. Jim answered all of the questions that I had. He then set me on a path to better myself and the out come of my upcoming court case. Jim was very responsive throughout the entire process and provided me with everything I needed. He was able to achieve an exceptioinal outcome in my case. I started the case with four charges, including DUI and Driving Without Insurance, both serious charges that carry a jail sentence. With a high BAC (blood alcohol level), the District Attorney in Jefferson County Never dismisses the DUI and usually recomends a jail sentence. He was able to convince the DA to go against there office policy and dismiss the DUI and not only that, but convinced the DA to dismiss the Driving Without Insurance charge as well! The end result was one count, the lowest alcohol offense with no jail. Awesome outcome! I highly recommend his services!!

Wrongfully accused felony 5.0 stars Posted by MistyJanuary 11, 2022 In less then 4 months Mr. Stanley got a felony 6 case totally dismissed. I thought I would have to pay a restitution or be on probation and take a domestic violence class. Mr. Stanley was extremely helpful from the start, starting with his fees and working with me, he kept me informed and always answered any and all questions in a timely manner. I was extremely pleased with my results and the short time it took to get my case settled. (DISMISSED) Thank you for all your help. I would highly recommend his services to anyone.

There’s nothing but great things I can say about Jim. He has gone above and beyond. He has achieved something remarkable by getting my dui, amongst other serious charges dropped. I’m a contractor and I see hard workers every day. Jim has the work ethic of someone I would hire on the spot. Not only has he given me a new lease on life, he’s shown me that he takes just as much pride in his job as I do. You’re not another number to this man, please believe that. He is one of the most diligent and selfless people I’ve met in my life. He genuinely cares about his clients and will go above and beyond to make sure you are treated like a human being. I had to hire Mr. Stanley for a case that wasn't in my favor at all. He was very cooperative and constantly gave me suggestions on what to do. Some of those I put off to the side for the time being but then I finally did what I was asked to do, and wow it helped me! Mr. Stanley was able to get the best possible outcome for my case without having to go to trial! I couldn't thank him enough. If you are looking to hire a criminal defense lawyer, hire James Stanley!

I can tell you with all my heart I'm grateful everyday for Jake and Beth. They worked tirelessly on my case and always kept great communication with me. Jim Stanley provided phenomenal representation for my son on multiple DUI/DWAI-related cases in two different counties.
