I have known Jim Stanley for a number of years. Jim is an outstanding attorney. He recently exceeded my expectations on what he was able to do regarding my nephew. My nephew had recently got a DUI . I had recommended to my nephew to hire Jim Stanley. Jim Stanley exceeded my expectations on what he able to do on this case. Jim was able to achieve an exceptional outcome to get these charges reduced to a DWAI. . This is almost unheard of getting DUI charges reduced, especially in this case regarding my nephew. I was thoroughly impressed with the way Jim handled this case. Jim had put together a massive impact statement for the DA and judge to review. I hired Jim Stanley on the recommendation of a close family member in Law Enforcement after my first DUI. My wife and I read his reviews and we were convinced he was what I needed. Jim set to action immediately. He was very clear about anything I needed to do- communication was very easy. My memory of the DUI was very limited so as information about my case came into Jim’s office he also saw the severity of my offense. I had a BAC of .458…. something that would warrant losing my license-(which I would lose my job) and almost always some jail time or home arrest among other consequences. This felt hopeless. Jim was able to achieve an unbelievable outcome in my case!! Jim ACHIEVED A MIRACLE in my situation. I Received a Ticket beginning of the year 29 point ticket. Reckless driving , leaving the scene and failure to report an accident. With 2 DUI's on my record. I was looking at Jail time and definitely losing my license. I knew I needed to hire private council. Based off the AVO reviews I retained James. One month later another 6 point speeding ticket.... Jim had my charges Dropped and I pled guilty to a defective vehicle charge. 3 days before court on my 29 point ticket, I received another ticket 4 points. Charges were dropped to Defective vehicle. James was able to get the DA on the phone and Negotiate a deal for me. After she had been dodging everyone else for months , I know this because other attorneys stated they were unable to reach the DA which is why they needed an extension. James got all my charges Dropped. I pled guilty to careless driving for 6 points on a 29 point ticket. 3 major traffic violations later within 2 months. I was able to keep my license with points to spare. NO probation , no community service. James resolved my Tickets in a manner. He was quick with response to my emails and questions , and believe me I had a lot. He is direct with his prices no hidden fees or additional charges. Jim was able to achieve an exceptional outcome in both of my cases. Jim is an amazing attorney. He not only helped me through understanding the legal process but he was so well prepared that is made the entire legal process incredibly smooth. When this incident took place Jim told me everything that I could do to try to ensure the best outcome I could recieve for my situation and I took all of his advice. Not only did he help me with advice on what I could do to help my situation but, Jim had done all of the leg work which allowed me to be able to recieve an outcome that was better than I could have ever imagined. He worked with the DA and created a sentencing memorandum that again allowed me to have an outcome that is better than I could have ever hoped for. In December 2020 I was charged with harassment which is also a domestic violence issue. It was a very nerve racking experience being arrested, and the penalties are a bit worse than you would think if convicted even though it was only a class 3 misdemeanor. I could have potentially lost my right to own firearms and gone through an arduous months long probation sentence if convicted. I interviewed several attorneys and felt Jim had the knowledge and experience to give me the best possible outcome. I was impressed with Jim's communication from the start with me and I appreciated his no BS approach. He told me the truth about my case. And the truth is, these types of cases rarely end well for the defendant and almost never get dismissed. Jim first asked me to review the discovery information and pick out any "nuggets" that we could play on since I know the accuser pretty well in this case. I put together a detailed list and provided Jim with some additional information that I felt could help me. However, I wasn't all that optimistic and was resigned to the fact that I was going to be pleading to some crime with a deferred judgment as the best possible outcome. I think its important to note that you can provide your lawyer with all the information, but if they do not present it effectively to the DA, it will not influence. This is where Jim shined. He took the information I provided him and had the foresight and knowledge to draft a very aggressive and comprehensive written argument for the dismissal of my case, sent to the DA. Not only did Jim do this, but he convinced the DA to take a detailed look into my case in the pre trial phase. Most DA's do not look at the case in detail until just before the trial and have standard offers they will throw out until you have set a trial date. So the DA looked into my case, read the arguments Jim put together, and at our first pre trial conference, the case was fully dismissed. The angle Jim took was very convincing and I now have sealed my records and this is behind me. I would highly recommend Jim for anyone charged with a crime. His past experience as a DA and years defending people in his private practice give him a unique perspective and tools to attack your case and give you the best possible outcome. Thanks Jim!

I can't even begin to express my gratitude to James Stanley. I was charged with DUI, Careless Driving and Open Container. Had a blood draw BAC of .183. He somehow worked with the DA to get the charge lowered to a DWAI with 12 months probation and all other charges dropped with no fines and no jail time. Even the Judge said you have an amazing attorney to avoid jail time and a DWAI with that BAC. Next, he was able to get my DMV case completely dismissed... no interlock, no points, no license suspension. He worked so hard and was always available when I needed him. When my family was faced with a difficult and sensitive situation Jim came to the rescue.
