I received a speeding ticket driving a vehicle that was substantially more powerful than I was accustomed to and, to be blunt, it was BAD. I was given a mandatory court appearance date where I likely would have been charged with reckless driving where I otherwise have a clean record. Mr. Stare was able to negotiate this down to a violation where the state allowed me to have a deferral on the ticket, effectively removing it from my record. All of this was handled via one phone call and a few emails. As a relatively new resident of Indiana, I was unfamiliar with how such things work and Mr. Stare was kind and patient any time I had questions and answered them in a concise manner that was very easy to understand. He was recommended to me by a friend who has a particularly lead foot, but based upon my experience, he is my first choice for any legal issue going forward, without a doubt!

I contacted Julie and inquired with her to see if I had a case and if she could assist. Although she couldn’t assist Julie was able to refer me to another lawyer. You can definitely tell Julie is all about helping and not based solely off of money. There are other lawyers that try to charge a fee just to speak with you. I appreciate Julie’s professional service and would refer her to anyone that’s in need of a criminal defense attorney based off of my first impression.

Ok to start I have literally been using Julie Kert's services for years now, and since I found her she has NEVER let me down! I first hired Julie for a dui that I received in Cobb County almost 10 years ago. I was praying to beat the charges but because I had heard of how strict cobb County can be I knew I needed a really good attorney. I never had hired a top tier attorney at the time but because of the circumstances I knew it would be the best decision for me to do so. I received a ton of letters via mail from all sorts of attorneys and for some reason Julie's stood out to me. I went and met with her for the initial free consultation. I felt very confident with her and I could tell that she was extremely knowledgeable to the point that I decided to hire her that day. I apparently had made the correct decision because Julie was able to get the charges totally dismissed which was amazing, and at that point I knew that she was worth every single penny that I had paid her. Fast forward down the line I had a a situation come up with an ex that I had been living with who had acquired a small misdemeanor marijuana charge at the home that we shared, however even though I was not there when the incident happened the police decided to charge me as well along with the ex who had already admitted to the marijuana. I found out later that I had a warrant from those charges that I didn't know of and was arrested. I called Julie and hired her and when we went to court she was able to have all charges dropped due to the fact that the charges had already been previously charged to someone else. What I have learned in my experience is when hiring attorneys you are paying for the experience and knowledge which is what will win cases. A lesser experienced attorney might not know all of the intricacies of the law to be honest. Given Julie's history and prior work experience as a prosecutor I have no doubt that she knows both sides of the field which is what I think has been very successful in helping me with my cases. I received another DUI years later and decided to go with a friend because I thought that it was a simple case. At the time I technically had never been convicted with a DUI and it was a refusal to blow so I knew there wasn't any hard evidence. Needless to say I went to court and lost that case which should have been a very simple case. The reason being is the attorney was inexperienced. Years later I received another DUI and I decided to hire another attorney again because I didn't think I could afford Julie, however I lost the case and wound up spending more money after the case than what I would have spent if I would have just hired her. And now, what brings me to this review, I hate to admit it but for the sake of this review I will expose that that I have caught the third and final DUI I will ever catch in my lifetime and I made sure to hire Julie because I did not need this DUI to stick because three would be very bad, as if the 2 prior wasnt bad enough. This time however I really felt that I was innocent. Let me tell you that Julie Kert was able to get the DUI thrown out by the judge due to circumstances that only she in my opinion would have been able to execute due to her exemplary knowledge and experience and legal intelligence in the courtroom. It is an honor to watch her work and witness her masterful execution in the courtroom. She has literally saved my life this time around. The earlier situations I was very young and making stupid decisions and this time I really did get caught up in a bad place at the wrong time and she saved my life for me and my family! Thank you Julie Kert!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was arrested for DUI in Alameda County. Marc was recommended to me by a family member. I did not know whether to hire him before the District Attorney would make a charging decision. Marc advised me to hire someone good to represent me asap because he said that based upon his former experience as a prosecutor, it was much better if I had a good lawyer plead my case before a charging decision was made. And also for the DMV hearing process. The DA decided to not file a DUI case against me!

I hired Muneer to handle a double felony drug & weapons charge for my 23yr old son. Muneer told me exactly what he would be able to do prior to taking the case. I was accused by police for abusing my son. I admit that I am a tough father but I am not the "abuser" described by the police. When I was released from jail I started seeking an attorney on AVVO. Mr. Nakano's experience drew my attention. However, my stereotype about lawyers reserved me from making immediate decision to hire him. After looking through his website, I told myself "why not give him a chance, and give yourself a chance". Because of our similar ethnic background, he could look at the situation from my perspective. Not only that, Mr. Nakano suggest me started to makeup for my mistake before the court date. He recommended Parents' Group, a group therapy that help distressed parents. In addition, he recommended me seeing professional counselor, who had taught me a lot because he had already went through the path that I am going through. Because of Mr. Nakano's help, I was dismissed of the charges by the police and was exonerated from CACI listing. Most importantly, my relationship with my son has improved. We enjoyed our Thanksgiving vacation in Disney; played retro video games and light saber duel together during Christmas Holidays. I came to Mr Steven Nakano awhile back concerned about a possible criminal case against me regarding an alledged a hit and run on the freeway resulting in property damage. After the police contacted me and conducted their investigation it was confirmed I was not involved in any hit and run. Turns out the party who claimed I was involved was pulling an insurance scam. Had an extremely complicated driving history and needed someone who could confidently manage a citation that was previously adjudicated 4 years ago. This man is worth every single penny. WORTH IT. I have never seen an attorney more prepared and ready to attack in court. Custody court was mentally the toughest thing I had ever gone through along with living 300 miles away. Mike helped me through every step. He made sure I was clear on everything and understood what was going on at all times. We had telephone conferences and I only had to come in office a few times.
His ability to recollect laws and cases in court is astounding and he made my ex’s lawyer look like he’d never been to law school or passed a bar exam a day in his life. Mike came fully prepared to rock my ex’s world and did. I have FULL SOLE CUSTODY with supervised visits for the other party. If I had to do it all over again he’s the ONLY attorney I would consider. I had a DUI case and a resisting arrest charge. Although this was my first offense, the city where I was pulled over and ticketed is known for being very strict. I was in an extremely bad situation, I had been arrested for Criminal destruction to property. I was facing a possible felony and I had at least 5 counts against me. I couldn't sleep, couldn't eat, cried everyday from the guilt and from how bad things could've gotten. I needed case records that happened 24 years ago sealed. My case was thrown out but they still seemed to pop up at any government inquiry. You will not find a more experienced attorney who will get you the best possible outcome in your case than Bubba Head. A very well respected attorney in Atlanta referred me to him for my personal injury claim resulting from being rear ended in a car accident. Mr. Huttner is a life saver! I was facing my 2nd DUI in 2019 and was from another state. Not to mention, I knew nothing about Denver and surrounding areas. While back home, I received consultation from a few lawyers but Mr. Huttner stood out the most. I wasn't sure why at the time but I am glad I made that decision. Mr. Huttner was very knowledgeable and respectful. He always made sure he overcommunicated times and dates when it came to court dates/hearings etc. He was open and honest to any questions I had throughout this 2 1/2 year process. I’ve been working with Richard since August of 2016 (Case took 4+ years). I was stopped for a urinating in public, but the charges quickly changed to DUI after they saw my priors. By the end of the encounter, I was facing indecent exposure (Urinating in public), DUI, resisting arrest, and obstruction of a peace officer.
Richard took on my case and immediately got a small win at the DMV. The hearing officer at the DMV ruled that I should have never been pulled over as the officer had no description of the individual he “thought” he observed urinating. This officer could not tell if the person was black, white, or other, and couldn’t even decipher man of woman. Needless to say I was awarded my license back that day.
My case is a very long and drawn out story. We lost at trial due to an error made by the court in which Richard advised that I could Appeal. I was facing 11 months in jail, court fees, probation, alcohol classes, and the loss of my license. I appealed to the district court (won); the people (DA) appealed to the Supreme Court (lost). My conviction was set aside and I was given the opportunity to have a new trial.
The former DA for the 18th district was not a fan of my case and would not just settle with us so we presented the case to the new 18th district DA once he was sworn in. Richard again went to bat for me and was able to get all charges dismissed except for obstruction. I pled guilty to obstruction; no jail, no probation, just a $50 fine. What a difference having a fresh set of unbiased eyes can do for your case.

I was so happy I got Ayah as my lawyer. I was accused of evading the police when I didn't do anything! I was riding my bike with a group of riders when the police pulled over the wrong person. Ayah didn't hesitate and believed me and told me we should go to trial. We didn't even have to go that far. Ayah was able to get my case dismissed on the first appearance.
