The Lakeside Improvement Association (the HOA) had filed suit (with a $250K lean on the property) against my 93 year old widowed mother for failure to pay her dues for 3 years and for failing to repair and paint the awning of the front porch! My mother wanted me to try to work out a payment plan with the attorneys for the HOA but they wouldn't respond to my emails! The case got extended a couple of times and then when case actually went to trial, neither the court nor the HOA's attorneys notified my 93 year old mother of the court date until after the trial's date! Therefore judgement was awarded to the HOA for approximately $4K (with a lean on the property for $250K) which my mother could not pay! So we get notice that the Pct. 5 Constables office had seized my 93 year old mother's house (that's been paid off for years) and was going to sale her house under court order! I kept getting the run around from different attorneys, saying the case was too late or too complicated until I talked to Chad! He said he could handle it and he even came out to the house and met my mother! I found out that this type of case is what Mr. Elroy specializes in! I highly recommend him for any type of debt settlement but especially dealing with HOAs!

Update: Doan contacted me immediately after posting my review to discuss all of my concerns. He assured me that my experience was due to miscommunication and that it did not reflect how they normally interact with clients. He rectified the issues and was able to help me. I was not expecting a quick response since it is a large company. I figured that i was just another number, but I'm glad that i decided to stay. I'm satisfied with the detailed care that was given to me, and i trust that my case will be taken care of with the most attention. Thanks Doan.
I called them twice for a bankruptcy quote, and I was told that they would call me back. A man called and took my info and asked me to fill out the intake form sent to my email. I filled it out and waited 3 hours. I called back, and they forwarded me to Lindsey, who handles all intake forms. She didn't answer, so I left a message and emailed her. She emailed and said she never got it. I filled out the form again and I called & emailed to see if she got it. She didn't email me back until the following night after 8pm and asked me to call and make a few consultation appointment. I finally get the appointment for 4 days later. I waited until 1:30 to get the call. The lady asked me if I filled out the intake form & I said yes, twice. She then says she will have to call me back in 20mins to look over the intake inform. The whole process was a waste of my time, unorganized and unprofessional. I wouldn't trust them with handling serious matters. I went with another lawyer that had all 5 stars with over 200 reviews.

They really care about their clients and want to easy our stress during this difficult time in your life! My husband thought bankruptcy was going to destroy our life! Hired Terry to represent me with my Eviction and Harassment charges. He did a horrible job at both hearings. He wasn’t prepared at all and kept asking me the same questions over and over like he had no clue what was going on. It was very disheartening as a client to not get truly represented by my lawyer. Extremely unprofessional! They will argue with you more than they argue to save you in court. Full of excuses and not willing to fulfill their end of the deal. You are better off going with a court appointed because with these guys you will end up with a court appointed in the end any way!.. Good luck to anyone that has chosen such poor representation!!! 😕

Judge Deborah Ford is an amazing person who really cares about her job and clients. She went above and beyond to help me with my case. She’s very nice, thoughtful, and one of the most beautiful people that you could ever meet from the outside and inside. She’s very understanding and she truly cares about winning the case and defending you. She has been working in the court room most of her life, and her mom was a former judge as well so she grew up discussing laws on daily basis. They got me the emergency hearing for the restraining order against my boyfriend like on the next day. It was a great relief and now I can sleep in peace with my child. The attorney was also very patient with me when I had so many questions and the wait for the virtual hearing was bad in the morning. I had some doubts at first but it worths every dollar spent last minute.

Personally, I did not have as satisfactory of an experience than all of the people under these reviews. During my consultation, I was promised we were going to go as hard as we could to help me in my case to issue an order of protection against an ex boyfriend who was stalking and harassing me... the consultation went great, but after the hearings began, Sun Suh was not responsive at all, nor did she try to reassure me about my situation - just no sense of urgency. I was constantly under a cloud of anxiety, and she would always refer to the case as "your case". "There was never any moment where she made it feel like we were unified in fighting the case together. I would go a week following up with her several times via calls and emails with zero response until moments before our hearings - during our hearings she would come off very hesitant. I spent days and hours digging through photos, social media pages, text messages to compile for her and did not see any of that reflect during our hearings. I now have to revert back to living in fear - I am honestly very disappointed in this experience and truly felt like I could have defended myself better.

I was just served a summons from Morse Geller representing a car finance company . I called back in May and I was basically threatened over the phone to come after my income if I didn’t settle over the phone which is harassment. This law firm states they represent consumers , but I’m they’re in fact representing the company that financed my loan which is commercial . The index number to look up to confirm this is 709315 (queens county ). I will as I’ve stated back in May hire an attorney to represent me to the highest extent . I most definitely don’t recommend this firm that is misleading to the public .

From the first call, I felt like I had an ally right away who understood my situation, was able to parse it into its relevant parts, provide sound counsel and lay out next steps very clearly. In January 2022, I was in my car while a repossession was taking place. From inside the car, I told the driver to put my car back down and leave me alone. Marakay Rogers helped me with a child custody case recently. She was honest and upfront with me about what we would be dealing with and our chances for success, although they were limited.
