When it was obvious that my marriage was at an end, I retained Judy’s counsel on the advice of another friend who was going through the process. Judy has been practicing in family law her entire legal career and it shows in her level of expertise and experience.
On the first four-way call with my spouse and her counsel, Judy demonstrated her command of divorce law and basically wiped the floor (in a polite way) with the opposing counsel. Apparently, my spouse felt the same way and promptly hired a new attorney.
Fortunately, my spouse was amicable, and we agreed to the terms of the separation. Her new attorney wrote up a first draft of the Agreement and after review, Judy felt the Agreement was too vague and poorly written, so she basically rewrote the whole thing. Judy also took the time to review the Agreement with me line by line and ensured that I was very clear on the more salient terms and legal jargon.
The overall process went smoothly, and Judy made sure to inform me of the process and communicated strategy the whole time. She was very accessible and responsive whenever I had a question.
My only regret in working with Judy is that I didn’t heed her sage counsel early on hoping that I could somehow save the marriage.
Additionally, as a favor to me and because she has a high degree of empathy, Judy agreed to speak with my sister regarding her divorce which is a nightmare. My sister was so impressed with Judy that she tried to retain her, however Judy explained that sometimes it’s best not to make a change when three years into the process with other counsel.
Lastly, while Judy is a rockstar, she has a great band working with/for her. Everyone I interacted with at Egan law was highly talented and capable in their roll.
The process of divorce is very difficult and painful and I thank God that was able to retain Judy’s representation.

I hired Gillian for what I already expected to be a difficult and complicated divorce, and which ended up taking unforeseen twists and turns I could not have ever imagined. I can't say enough about her knowledge, insight, and professionalism. She is a master multi-tasker, and most critically, was available and immediately responsive when my case became a series of one true crisis situation after the next. Even when my crisis cut into her personal time, she was there for me. There was no hand wringing or floor pacing wondering when or if she would respond ... it was always almost immediately and if she was tied up, she let me know right away when she would be able respond. She is a no-nonsense lawyer, extremely efficient, and caring. All of her gut assumptions about what I should do turned out to be accurate. She doesn't tell you what you want to hear, but rather what you need to hear. She freed me from the need to feel as if I had to micromanage my case, eased my fears, and when my case extended far beyond a routine divorce situation, she connected me with other professionals who were likewise immediately responsive and highly skilled. I don't have enough good things to say about Gillian. No matter how complicated or bizarre your situation may be, she is capably able to handle it. I have nothing but gratitude and praise for the manner in which Ms. River’s handled my case especially being that I am 3,000 miles away from Her and never personally met her. Ms. Rivers always answered my phone calls and email, kept on top of the case and kept me completely informed over the 2-year period that the case was pending. When I reached out to Mrs. Pierce Nichols, I was distraught, for I had done what a lot of women do. I had trusted a man to look out for me instead of looking out for myself. I recently found myself in the middle of a "gray" divorce. 70 years old, married for 13 years to a woman that turned on me. I decided to represent myself in court, defending my pension, Social Security, health care, non marital assets, bank accounts and such. It didn't take long for me to realize I needed a professional consultation as her attorney's proposal was outrageous and would ruin me financially for the rest of my life.
Karen's name was highly recommended by a close friend. A quick email to her office and I scheduled a consultation.
I'm a good judge of people and immediately knew she was the person I wanted representing me. No nonsense or small talk. Straight to the point. Professional and knows the law. I knew she had my back.
Once the dust settled, I was able to keep 90% of what I worked my entire life for. To say I am happy with her service would be an understatement.
Regarding payment, her billing was straightforward and well documented. The entire process cost me much less than I expected.
In short, I would highly recommend consulting with Karen first. You won't regret it.

Attorney Gersten is a top divorce attorney in the area. She did an amazing job and what seemed to be impossible to me a year ago. I went through a very difficult divorce. Before hiring attorney Gersten I interviewed 4 other attorneys and I am glad I chose Karen. She is very efficient and has fair charges and accounting of hours practice. Karen is very knowledgeable and well respected in the court. She always fights to protect interests of her clients, while open to settlement without unnecessary trials if her clients are satisfied with outcome. If presented with challenge, Karen is open to face it without hesitation and do research of precedents to be used in the court. Karen is always confident and has genuine care for her clients. She always comes to the court prepared and ready to protect your interests. Karen is working hard to make sure she provides high quality service. I wish I could give Karen more than 5 starts.

I hired Attorney Gersten to represent me through a divorce from my now ex-husband, and it is the best financial decision I have ever made by a LANDSLIDE. Karen is the absolute pinnacle of professionalism, legal expertise, and client advocacy. Her legal counsel is worth every penny (and then some).
After finding out that my husband was having an affair, I wanted the best representation I could find. I was blind-sided and had no idea what I should expect navigating a divorce. I met with a few other divorce-specializing lawyers locally before finding Attorney Gersten. The consultations I had with other lawyers all seemed to end up in the same place-- a cookie-cutter response, and dismissive approach to the dissolution of my 9-year marriage. Not Attorney Gersten. From the instant I met with her to discuss my situation, I knew I'd found the person to help me get through the toughest season of my life.

I decided to read reviews already written. I could identify with some of the personal struggles that were written and understand the sincere sentiments of praise for Sarah. WOW! I just don’t have the words to express how grateful I am that Attorney Marcus Sermons agreed to take on the lawsuits brought against me as the executor of my brother’s estate. I live in NH and my brother lived in Florida. Unfortunately, my brother’s biological and estranged child flew into Florida within 24 hrs of his death believing she was entitled to everything… regardless of his will and final wishes. Her deceitful and aggressive actions only added more sadness and trauma to the loss of my brother.
I could say Attorney Sermons gave me 110% or 150% or 200% … but it was more than that.
• First, he took on the case which was already messy from two previous attorneys… and I had been warned by a paralegal friend that no attorney would care to wade into a small, yet complicated estate lawsuit
• Attorney Sermons’ calm, supportive demeanor brought me to tears immediately as I felt heard for the first time in more than a year
• Attorney Sermons not only threw me a life raft, when I was too terrified to get in, he jumped into the water with me! What attorney does that?
• He went above and beyond. He was available, heard me, was kind, and extremely patient as he worked to clarify the misinformation given to me by the two previous attorneys.
I wish my brother had retained Attorney Marcus Sermons to create his will and final wishes. I wish I had found Attorney Marcus Sermons first, as I believe his expertise would have saved me from much of the pain and anguish I endured of having to navigate the hostility of a greedy spoiled child

I hired Marcus Sermons of Sermons Law a few months after my husband passed away. I needed help with a probate case. David was great in helping my boyfriend and I close on a house. He is a very patient man and very helpful in understanding that my boyfriend preferred to email/text instead of call. During the closing process, David helped us understand how everything works in layman's terms. He also made sure to check in every now and then to see if the lenders would push through earlier, but again, David was very patient even when we were not.
Overall, David Liberty is the guy to go to when you want something done. He does well in explaining everything and will make sure that you are getting what you need/want for a good reason. I thank those who introduced me to David Liberty since he is a genuine man to work with.

I retained Alan some years ago on a protection order issue, and more recently, on a contempt issue.
Alan’s experience, intelligence, and ability around a courtroom really shined; it was apparent that I should’ve hired him when my legal issues first started around 2019.
If you make the correct decision to hire Alan, for any need, he will speak to you plainly on the court process in a way that is understandable and thorough.

I have to say that Marivette is the most amazing woman to ever grace a family law court room she’s firm she’s talented she’s attentive she’s caring she’s warm she’s aggressive (in court rooms) and she loves her clientes and she has gone above and beyond. My elderly father and I met with Mr. Crouse to discuss asset protection. We found out early in our consultation that Mr. Crouse would not be able to help us going forward, because my father lives out of state, and he would need an attorney from his state to draw up the trust.
However, Mr. Crouse still spent over an hour with us, educating us about our options. He explained everything in a way that we could comprehend. He answered all of our questions and really made sure we understood. He could have easily sent us home, but didn’t!

I was issued a speeding ticket in Myrtle Beach, SC in June of 2023. When I returned to MD, I received mail from David Melnyk's law firm to represent me. Well, he did an amazing job at representing me. Outside of the reasonable attorney fee. I didn’t pay a dime and my case was dismissed.
