I'm a middle aged guy. I only mention that because no matter how optimistic your point of view, the margin of error for mistakes in judgement shrinks as you get older. It's like a pilot who couldn't successfully get out of a stahl, just because he was too close to the ground. He knew what to do, but there just wasn't enough time to recover (I fly a Cesna 152).
I recently signed a contract to sell my house. In the weeks prior to the closing date, I got a sobering understanding of the state of the real estate market. Houses were absurdly expensive. Sure I sold my house for good money. But now what ? Too late though, I signed a binding contract. Can't get out of this stahl, not this time. The buyer was paying cash, and already had $250K in the escrow. This is as a done deal, right ? As it turns out on the day of closing, there was a discrepancy or misunderstanding on the buyers side, which my very astute escrow attorney pointed out. I was referred to attorney Richard Gaines. Since time was of the essence, he was communicating with my escrow agent and buyers attorney within the hour. That same day, he wrote a detailed email complete with contractual references. The buyers attorney had our very well written position within a couple of hours the day of the closing. I was impressed with my attorneys swift analysis, strategy and execution. By the end of the week, I was released from the contract and got my house back ! I highly recommend Richard Gaines as a skilled and effective advocate in time of need.

When I started looking into getting divorced, I was pretty nervous as one would imagine. I did some research and ended up getting in touch with Jerry. He was very professional and quickly found a way to settle my nerves. One thing that struck me was after talking about typical general scenarios, he recommended that my ex and I try to settle as much as possible on our own as it would alleviate needlessly dragging things on, only making both parties lawyers richer. I did retain Jerry to represent me through the divorce and he was absolutely true to his advice. My ex and I were able to quickly agree on things and the divorce was final very quickly. She always kept me up to date with the process. Over the last 8 years, I have faced repeating challenges with child support issues. Michelle has met with me on short notice, taken my phone calls and guided me through these challenging situations. I highly recommend Michelle as a trusted advisor and advocate. One thing to keep in mind is to interview each lawyer, and judge for yourself. I met with three to four attorneys before selecting Michelle. As a human, a great reputation is one thing we all can control. This was something Deon helped me keep, and for that, I will always refer him as a great criminal defense lawyer for life.
I was in a position of being falsely accused of theft, which could have resulted me in federal prison for several years. In the very beginning, I do recall the stress I encountered and I can for sure tell you that having Deon on your side made this entire experience very uplifting, and empowering.
While explaining my side of my story, his solutions were immediate (Gave me solutions during my explanation haha, that's how quick). Before we even finished our call, I already felt that everything was going to be resolved due to the confidence, energy, and reassurance I received from him. With the court system backed up due to COVID, the length of my case extended 6-7 months. To imagine my experience without Deon, I can very well predict that those 6-7 months would have been very stressful on my end.

I came into contact with Rebecca by accident. I am dealing with a high-conflict child custody case in San Diego County. Very serious events have occurred which I do not want to share publicly that required assistance from Rebecca. Rebecca represents the Mother of a child my ex-wife has allegedly kidnapped. The child has been missing since November and is still missing. There are many different law enforcement agencies involved, as well as three different courts in three counties regarding child abduction. Rebecca has gone above and beyond to research issues related to this case and provide me and her client with guidance as it relates to informing the court of the facts and getting all counties and all law enforcement on the same page. Rebecca is intuitive and very smart. She is honest and exercises integrity when dealing with me and other people. Rebecca can be curt and straight to the point which initially threw me off. I felt her tone was aggressive with me. Then when I realized who she was and what part she plays in these cases; I understood her intensity. She literally cross-examined me when she found me. Yes, she found me! While doing research on her kidnapping case she traced several relatives of the alleged kidnapper. Rebecca has laser focus. I can imagine that is offputting to sensitive people who need hand-holding. Despite her initial aggressive and curt demeanor she has a huge heart and has the children's best interests at the top of her list. Due to her call, her conversation with my attorney, and her efforts to this day, I have full custody of my son after being alienated for over 6 months

I hired Rebecca to represent me in a high-conflict child custody case in Riverside. I was looking for an attorney that would stand up for me, and make all of my evidence known to the Judge. Rebecca filed motion after motion for me until the court finally made a decision in my favor. I am dealing with a severe parental alienation case. Rebecca fought hard so that the court would HEAR what I was trying to say. Communication with her office is very easy. The office’s procedures make it efficient and quick to get questions answered and get updates on my case. All documents are forwarded to me for review. The only issue is that Rebecca is on the pricier side. However, her reputation in the community, her relationships with everyone from the court staff to the janitor, make the court appearance so much less stressful. You really do pay for what you get. My prior attorney charged much less but I ended up paying just as much as Rebecca charges because their office was inefficient, disorganized, and just not up to my standards. It seems like that is the norm for most firms. Not Rebecca’s firm. Those girls are a team and it is evident that they work very well together. Rebecca knows the law cold. She thinks quickly on her feet and does not give up. Highly recommend.

Well, On the very first meeting I had showed her a proposal my ex had given me, and I turned it down flat.
