Worked with me when I thought my life was going to be destroyed by my abusive ex . They were very lenient on payment plans / down payment when I explained my ex that beat me up for two years pinned me with false charges and helped me get a decent deal to where I never have to deal with that person again. Useless lawyer. If you want to be lied to, this is the attorney to go to. Dont bother asking to file motions or to do really anything, you'll be wasting thousands and your time because this lawyer will just take your money and run with it. John Ward and his team have been nothing less then spectacular. My case has been a load and a half, DV, divorce, custody battle and many appeals. BEWARE! John Ward is a scum bag. He makes glitter look like gold during a consultation and after he receives payments does absolutely nothing. Mr Ward is a thief. He makes up false billing fees stating he is doing work for your case when he does nothing. Even though I lost thousands of dollars, firing Mr Ward was the best decision I could have made. Please don’t waste your time and money on this man. After all the complaints with the State Bar of Wisconsin I am surprised he is still able to he’s not disbarred!

I have never been so discriminated against as today!
As soon as I enter to the office, the receptionist started talking to me in Spanish, telling me that I had to borrow a computer from a relative or go to a library with Wi-Fi to fill out a form.
Assuming I didn't have a computer!!!
immediately after she gave me a list of people who give free consultations, and who did not charge for their service.
Again assuming I didn’t have money.
She told me that the lawyer was very busy and probably couldn't help me because she didn't speak Spanish.
Assuming I didn’t speak English!
and that it would be better if I called someone on the list that she gave me.
I am a business owner and I am pretty sure I have more money than she will ever see in her whole life, have 3 computers and was looking for that attorney because I could pay for her consultation and her service.
So sad that this firm has a person like this woman at the front desks. Assuming for what she sees and sending the business to someone else.
I will not bring my business to this firm
This is not a good place for anyone

Called multiple times to get assistance with a case. No reply back. Their automated message kept insisting I use their online consultation form so I filled that out and got an email that basically stated my case doesn't fit their criteria even though they advertise in practicing in the exact type of law that I need. Sucks to hear since they were referred to me. I still haven’t talked to a human at their office so they can hear my story.

I was fraudulently accused of an assault on a peace officer. Emily took my case and was very thorough in requesting my video evidence, witness statements, and documentation that was pertinent in proving the charges were false. She always instilled confidence that she could get me the best outcome. Communication was excellent, she kept me informed of all proceedings through court appearances and the entire process. I had the unfortunate experience of being charged with a second offense of Driving While Intoxicated (DWI 2nd) following a traffic accident that was witnessed by a police officer. Considering the high stakes of the case, including the almost certain loss of my career, I knew I needed the best legal representation available.
At the outset, my case seemed pretty hopeless to me. I had refused all field sobriety tests, but a warrant was obtained, and my blood was taken. The test results showed a blood alcohol concentration (BAC) slightly above the legal limit at the time of booking into Harris County Jail.
Fortunately, I immediately retained Emily Munoz Detoto as my attorney, which turned out to be the best decision I could have made. From the start, Emily displayed exceptional professionalism and dedication to my case, and it was evident that she was a seasoned criminal defense attorney. Though her legal advice was blunt at times, it was exactly what I needed to hear.

We hired Emily to represent my brother on a Capital Murder case. She was paid 50k. She made many promises and assured us that he was in good hands and that we had nothing to worry about at all. That she knew what she was doing. She visited my brother one time in jail since last year and has failed to communicate with us and him on what is going on. He was offered a plea deal that he had no idea about it what to do when he went to court. She has constantly threaten my family that she is removing her self off case cause she doesn’t like for us to ask questions. She thinks someone is always out to get her. Hiring her has caused more stress and worries than anything. She cant even remember a conversation we had the day before which makes us wonder what’s really going on. She constantly speaking down on us every chance she gets and blocks us for contacting her which is very unprofessional. At this point we don’t even know what she really had been doing on the case.

Mr Onello charged 30k but simply did not do his job for the amount he charged. The divorce got dragged out much longer than it supposed to because Mr Onello wanted to charge maximum for the minimum work he did. At the end, I had to file my own forms because he was asking for more after I paid 30k. The case is listed as Cassel vs Cassel in Clark county so this is a legit one star review. Avoid at all cost.
One last point I want to make. Mr Onello spends more time removing one star reviews than actually working so I would assume all the 5 star reviews are not legit. Don't fall for false reviews like I did.

My Colombian wife and I are extremely happy with the performance and results we received working with the James Vasilas law firm, and specifically, Michelle Mingle. Other than information we had to provide, they did everything. We even had a crisis in which my wife needed an emergency authorization to travel to Colombia and return to the USA. They obtained that for us too. They were extremely responsive to our calls and emails. I started the process with another firm that I initially funded, and was not impressed. The Vasilas firm was recommended to us by another, top notch attorney, so we switched, and have zero regrets. They are very professional, responsive, and get it done!

If you are headed for a difficult divorce and seeking compassionate, intelligent and competent representation, I highly recommend The Pappalardo Law Group.
John Pappalardo and his associate, Judith Murphy worked diligently for me for over 5 years through an extremely contentious divorce. Despite the fact that my ex controlled all the marital assets and was willing to spend everything to destroy me, John and Judith stuck by me. My case was also very difficult as we had 4 different judges presiding due to the length of time it took to resolve. Two of the four judges were completely inexperienced and were blatantly incompetent. These circumstances made for a very challenging battle. During all of this, I felt that I had the best possible attorneys representing me. In an extremely emotional and soul crushing time, both John and Judith always made me feel like I was a person worth fighting for. Yet, John would tell me exactly what he thought, even if it wasn’t always what I wanted to hear. He is completely honest and told me what I needed to hear, giving the best possible advice.

I am incredibly dissatisfied with the legal services provided by John Pappalardo and his team during my child custody case. They consistently ran up the bill with ineffective strategies and failed to properly guide me on the best course of action, resulting in significant financial strain and distress.
Moreover, communication was severely lacking throughout the process, with my emails and calls often going unanswered for days. I felt like I was constantly kept in the dark about important developments in my case, and when I did receive updates, they were vague and unhelpful.
Additionally, the level of professionalism exhibited by John Pappalardo and his team left much to be desired. I often felt dismissed and belittled whenever I raised concerns or asked for clarification on legal matters.
Overall, I would not recommend John Pappalardo's legal services to anyone in need of competent and reliable representation. My experience with his firm was nothing short of a nightmare, and I am left feeling extremely disappointed and let down.
In conclusion, I strongly advise against utilizing John Pappalardo's services for child custody cases. Their poor communication, inadequate preparation, and lack of effectiveness in the courtroom only served to heighten stress and financial burden. They do not prioritize or protect the well-being of the children and struggle to handle cases involving domestic abuse or high-conflict custody disputes.

I found myself in a love-less relationship with an unfaithful partner who I shared 2 beautiful children with. I felt helpless because you always think the law favors the mother in most cases. Our company got hit with an out of state nuisance lawsuit. I tried to avoid legal fees and negotiate a reasonable settlement with the out of state attorney. However, he wouldn’t negotiate and wanted $20K+. I knew I needed a good lawyer and was referred to James Poe. Mr. Poe reviewed the out of state law, successfully came up with a brilliant legal plan, and worked to substantially reduce the settlement amount ($3,500). I hired Jeremy Gordon to help with the assistance of a transfer. I was being held in a medium security facility with camp points. This was due to an incorrectly placed greater security management variable.
Jeremy helped me fight the management variable. While originally I just wanted to get my security level reduced to low. Instead through a combination of using the administrative remedy process, and Jeremy's tenacious campaign of phone calls and letters, the BOP completely removed my management variable.
I have now been moved to a low and will soon go to camp as I step down in security levels.
Jeremy is unlike any lawyer I have ever hired before. He not only has extensive knowledge of federal law but also of BOP policy.
One of my favorite things about Jeremy is he always took my calls and responded to my emails in a timely manner. This was a problem I have had with a lot of lawyers in the past.
I have been more than satisfied with the services he has provided. I already plan to solicit his help with more halfway house time as I get closer to my release date.
I have recommended him to several friends and I recommend him to you as well.

I don’t bother anyone about anything, it’s not in my nature. But to be ignored by someone who I thought I could trust with my case is very unsettling. I brought my suit to you years ago, and I still have no resolution or knowledge of what you’re doing with the case. I’ve been through so much since I came to your office many years ago now, and you sir, well it seems like you just don’t give a damn (my opinion).

I hired Sharon Williams to help me with a name change. I told her I wanted to use an attorney with experience in this sort of thing so I wouldn't have to worry about it and would get it done fast as I need to have my preferred name match for my job. She told me not to worry, that she would take care of it quickly. I initially met with her in late July, and I signed my petition in early August. it is now January and the process is not done. She has been very unresponsive, as I've texted her multiple times asking for specifics on why this is taking so long. I now haven't heard from her in a week. I've called her office multiple times with no answer and left messages. Called her phone but the voicemail box is full. The lack of communication leaves me to not trust that she is able to do the job I paid her to do in a timely manner, and feel like I've wasted my time and money for something I would have been better off doing myself. Ive spoken with people who have changed their names on their own with no attorney and most did it within a month. I am at 5 months. My passport has expired and my license expires soon which will be a major complication where I have to renew it under my old name, while I was under the impression would have been taken care of by now. I would not trust Sharon Williams with anything as important as custody or a will if she can't even properly do a name change.

Good luck to all the positive reviews. She was hired by my family to do a post conviction appeal. The motion was a boilerplate with history of law rather than any issues being raised. A complete waste of my one shot to freedom. She basically took the money and copied the motion from text books. Terrible lawyer, would definitely NOT recommend.

I own two businesses and if that were my employee, I would fire her ASAP. It doesn't matter how good the lawyers are if you can't get any help when they are unavailable.
