In acquiring the help of a lawyer in the future, I would not use this firm again. Just went through three years of negotiation just for the lawyer to get more than his client, after repeatedly, being told that wouldn’t happen. Not only with the dissatisfaction of them transferring me to another law firm to handle my case after I hired them, the results was not satisfactory. I reached out to Jason Ferguson personally about my dissatisfaction, at this point he had gotten paid for a case that he didn’t even handle. I haven’t heard anything back from him. I shelled out nearly $20,000 for his law firm for a crime that I was earnestly innocent and they basically led me to believe that they genuinely cared and I would be a priority. Once I handed them over the check, they didn't care about me anymore and I was mistreated by being ignored. Phone calls and emails were not responded to. I had no power to do anything about it because technically he is within his right to ignore me and not care about his clients.
When you go in for a consultation, you see a brilliant fighter who will zealously represent you passionately and with fervor & diligence. Once the money is handed over to him, it is like Cinderella at midnight when she turns from a princess to an ordinary person. Basically, the lawyer you see during the consultation is NOT the same man he will act once he has gotten what he has wanted from you (your money). He will then suddenly then show his true colors once the motivation to
I also found it EXTREMELY manipulative how during the consultation he emphasized that he sometimes turns down clients, and once you decide to hire him, he has the final say and there's a chance he will turn you away. In hindsight, this should have been a red flag because of how it induces you to consider yourself lucky if you are able to secure his legal representation.
The last thing I want to emphasize is that "board certified" means NOTHING significantly valuable in the grand scheme of things. I over-estimated the importance of board certification but upon further research, all it means is that an attorney jumped through a few extra hoops so that they can put a shiny title next to their name or on their business card.
Another instance of manipulation was how strongly I felt coaxed into signing a plea deal. During the initial consultation, I felt like he wanted to take my case to trial because he believed in my innocence. After hiring him, and as months passed, he emphasized that if I lost at trial that I could potentially be sent to prison because my charge was for a 2nd degree felony. I specifically remember him or his co-partner telling me that it's a bad idea to put my fate into the hands of a jury because the jury could potentially have unreasonable people who decide to take the word of law enforcement and simply vote to convict based on the fact very little evidence existed one way or another. I was made to feel that taking the case to trial proved I was being foolish and taking an extreme unnecessary risk of being sent to prison.
In the interest of fairness, I will now briefly list a few positives about Kepler Funk. First, he's very intelligent. Second, he's super professional and hard-working during the initial consultation. Lastly, he has mostly 5-star reviews which I didn't expect. I guess if you're guilty and he gets you a good plea deal, then hats off to him.
My experience with him was very negative and I feel like I owe my fellow Floridians a dire warning about him that he becomes a different person after he receives your money. The lawyer you see at the initial consultation IS NOT the same person you will represent you during your case. His diligence and professionalism and fervor all evaporate and you'll be left with an entitled, unmotivated lawyer who has zero incentive to do beyond the bare minimum job for you.
In summary, this man is a mediocre lawyer, at best.

I hired Mr. Adams to defend me in a basic matter. His counsel through the duration was specific on one point that became the sticking point in getting the matter settled. On and on it went....costing me plenty of money. Eventually, the matter was settled and, when it was settled, Mr. Adams counsel on that specific point was unambiguously contradicted by the Judge and Prosecutor and it's on the actual court record.
In attempting to address this afterward with Mr. Adams, he could not even be bothered to return a call or address all the bills that ensued as a result of his erroneous advice. In checking with other criminal defense attorney's, none agreed with Mr. Adams advice and all agreed he was wrong.
I'd add as well that Mr. Adams is VERY hard to reach and not terribly responsive.

I was introduced to Elon Burk by a trusted attorney in the industry, so despite seeing reviews online about issues with refunds, I chose to trust the referral. Unfortunately, my experience with Mr. Burk was extremely disappointing and has left me questioning his professionalism and integrity.
Mr.Burk requested a substantial retainer up front, but as soon as my case concluded, he became completely unresponsive. He stopped returning my calls, and despite multiple phone calls and emails to his office, I received no reply. It’s astonishing to think that an attorney could treat a client this way—taking financial advantage without any apparent accountability.
Given my experience, I strongly urge others to reconsider before choosing Mr. Burk for their legal needs. It’s essential to work with professionals who are transparent, responsive, and truly committed to their clients. Unfortunately, Mr. Burk does not meet these standards, and I would not recommend his services to anyone.

I hired Mr Burke for a simple investigation after he scared me into the idea of being in trouble when really nothing was there. After I paid him It was almost impossible to get a hold of him.
I asked him for updates numerous times to which he never responded. Terrible customer service, and a terrible experience. Still can't believe I was charged for nothing.
Mr Berk has never bothered to refund unused retainer while having ignored e -mails and phone calls.
Dishonesty at its worst.
Just a bunch of "con-artist". I've never heard that a Legal professional can charge large amount of money in Retainer, do absolutely nothing about the case and after all ignoring request for a refund. I would never recommend anyone to retain Mr. Berk's services.

Words cannot describe how great of an attorney Charles Grose is. I would recommend Charles to anyone that ever finds themselves needing a criminal attorney. I was facing some very serious criminal charges (something that I was fasley accused of) charges that had a sentencing of 25 years to life. Charles is committed to his job as an attorney, which in return means he is committed to his clients. Charles is upfront, serious and straightforward with his clients, he takes his calling as an attorney very serious. Charles listens to what his clients has to say and takes down very detailed notes when you meet with him. Charles is very knowledgeable and has the experience to represent his clients throughly. Charles knows the laws and was always prepared when we went to court. Charles did diligent research of other cases very similar to mine to get examples that supported his arguments that he was presenting to the jurors in order to use those examples as exhibits in my case. Charles was easily accessible: via texts, phone calls and emails with proficient turn around time in getting back in touch with me. I am so thankful that Charles Grose represented my case.

Totally satisfied! I am very grateful for the efficiency and promptness that the staff at Maison Law demonstrated in their efforts towards me obtaining my green card. Silvia and Jasmine in the front office made me feel welcomed with their kindness the minute I stepped in the door. And Sissi the paralegal, apart from her friendliness, was very effective in making sure that I understood everything pertaining to my case. Although they never guaranteed 100% that I would receive my green card, which is understandable, they were able to tell me that 97% of their cases had been favorable, which gave me hope. Been my attorney for a number of years and suffers from dementia etc. He needs to retire. Speaks to me as though I am a small child. Never takes any notes nor can he retain anything I share with him. Works from home and has NO STAFF WHATSOEVER, not a sole that you can call besides himself and NEVER returns calls. Left 23 messages for him but took over 2 months to hear back. He needs to be barred from practicing law. Possibly your worst nightmare of an attorney.

I cannot put into words how thankful I am for Bobbie. I was facing 10 years mandatory minimum in Federal Prison. Bobbie was brilliant with her strategy. The judge reduced my sentence to less than 5 years. After I took a program and received another year off my sentence I spent a total 3 years incarcerated.

He was appointed to represent me before there was a PD office in Arlington. Called him every single day for two months while I was in jail. Never accepted my call. Never came to see me until the night before my trial. For two months prior to sentencing I called every week. Wrote several letters. Mr. Dennis never responded nor did what I asked in the letters. At sentencing I received ten times my sentencing guidelines. A 25 year active prison sentence. Were it not for my persistence, hard work, and the help of a quality post conviction attorney I would still be in prison. It took me 16 1/2 year to earn a pardon from Governor Northam. Had Mr Dennis done his job with a modicum of professionalism I would likely have been home over a decade ago. I wouldn’t even ask him to defend me in traffic court much less if years of my life were in the balance.

My experience was with Alexkia Torres Stallings, she went and asked the state prosecutors to help her for a recommendation related to my case. Things got worse in my case and I don’t wish to even talk about it. She is so lazy and careless and I was neglected. Mr. Torres is not professional by throwing his clients cases to his associate Alexkia. That’s not fair! I needed to change to a completely different criminal defense lawyer who took care of everything for me and got my whole case dismissed. Save your money and time and don’t bother with this law firm. My experience with this law firm was miserable.

David Torres handled a case where my son was the victim in a major auto accident. He was genuinely concerned with his well being and worked hard to make him as whole as possible. My son had numerous fractures and underwent several surgeries. The hospital/medical bills were outrageous. In the end, they were settled for pennies on the dollar. If it wasn’t for David, everything from the insurance would have gone to medical bills. Now he has a future.

I was referred to James Brehm from Lori Murray in Columbia. He was blunt and honest from the start he never sugar coated anything he didn't judge anyone and he got to work immediately. He helped my daughter and it was a big mix up but she could have had do do over everything. He got her out with a much better deal then her previous atty would even offer to try and do.
