This review is years overdue. In short summary, Michael was an amazing lawyer and I would highly recommend him. I was involved in a car accident in 2018 where I had also been injured. I have never been in a car accident before so this was all new territory. Michael had come recommended by the community I lived in so I reached out for a consultation. He was highly professional and detail oriented, making sure to take notes about the accident and look through all my paperwork I had collected up to that point. After the consultation he ended up taking up my case. I feel that he made sure to give me the best deal I could have asked for. Him and his legal team always made sure to call and update me as negotiations continued and explained certain legal jargon in a way that I could easily understand. First and foremost, I want to start off by giving a Million Thanks to Corey Mehlos for being an amazing lawyer and for always keeping Myself and my husband up to date with every detail of his case and for fighting for him and seeing the good in him and not the “Criminal “that they viewed him as.
In 2021 my Husband was hit with a Conspiracy Charge that held a sentence of 52 years. When we got this devastating news, we did not know what to because at the time we had no money for a lawyer because I was putting myself through college at the time and I was not working then that year we were blessed with Money and was able to afford a lawyer just to find out months later that he could no longer represent my Husband due to a conflict of interest and he has to drop my husband as a client. Me and my Husband are big on Our Faith and Trust that no matter what with God we will always find a way. I prayed for months for God to send me someone that he knew would fight for my husband. I remember the very first conversation I had with Corey and I knew in my heart that this was the Man that was going to fight for my husband and he did just that. That first call we had talked for a while and I had explained everything to him and I remember him saying “Well I will be more than Happy to take his case” Not knowing all the details or the extent of the case. And he went right to work on my husband's case and his work was nothing short of amazing. I am overjoyed with the service and results I received and continue to receive from Cunnane Law. Ever since I lost function in my hands and other health issues, I have been struggling with the ramifications, not the least of which is how I would survive when the continuation of my LTD benefits was denied. Joe Cunnane helped me through the car accident/injury process. He took the burden off my shoulders so I didn't have to worry about trying to deal with the other driver's insurance company, especially when I was still recovering from my injury. Laura Shaver is an excellent defense attorney. She defended our son on a DUI and a totally uncalled for DV charge. In both cases, Laura, worked out reasonable solutions and the charges were removed or downgraded. Laura was thorough and obviously has the respect of the prosecutors and judges in Snohomish County. Laura really cared about the outcome and communicated personally with me on several occasions. I cannot say enough about her high degree of professionalism and skill as an attorney!

Scott is amazing! He litigated a big win for my case against one of my former tenants. My case was rather unique as the defendant was a lawyer himself, and basically told me if I decide to sue him, he will make it long, painful and expensive for me. I called a handful of lawyers but Scott was the only one that was passionate not only winning the case, but make sure the defendant understands his behavior will not be tolerated. Scott was mindful of my expenses and I efficiently brought an action against the attorney and in the end, he paid you every penny owed, interest and the great majority of your attorneys fees. I am very happy with my experience with Scott and his team and would definitely hire him again.

A direct competitor to our business was posting defamatory information about our company online. Scott sued the competitor for defamation. Scott warned us all along that because we could not prove actual damages, the amount of damages awarded was completely within the discretion of the jury. He jokingly would say the jury can award you a ham sandwich and a cup of soup or $750,000. We spent seven days in trial. Scott took command of the courtroom from the beginning and maintained control throughout. In his closing argument, he asked the jury to award $750,000. He underestimated the power of his presentation of the case. The jury came back with an award of $900,000. Scott and his team are masterful at their trade. Highly recommend.

I do not even know where to start on how fortunate I was to have Ed and Spencer on my side for a brutal divorce proceeding. I will summarize how awesome Ed and his team were, but I really want to highlight his ability to be caring and to listen throughout the two year battle. This was an emotionally draining and a hard two year fight. Ed was extremely honest with me and didn’t play games wasting time. I was always kept informed and knew my options.
Ed was relentless and knew the law which ultimately lead to us winning at trial. From the day he took my case I put full trust into him and I feel this was such a success because of that. He knows the law and is phenomenal at trial in front of a judge!
Ed was very thorough and was always very forthcoming on what he needed from me. I had to trust him though the process and I’m so glad I did. My ex was a complete liar and fabricated so many lies throughout the two years, there were multiple contempts and hearings while we waited for trial. From the moment Attorney Menzer took my case — auto accident, medical and other costs pursued by the other driver — I felt that I was in good hands. He was professional and pleasant, knowledgeable so that I knew from the start what the likely outcome would be as well as the appropriate paths that would be taken to reach that outcome. We had a complicated case concerning a nursing home, so we went to several lawyers concerning this case. We were not impressed by any of them. Not until we met Matt Menzer that we knew instantly that he was the cream of the crop. He was by far the best!! Matt was extraordinarily intelligent, extremely knowledgeable, and also very likable. He was a good listener, communicator, and he explained things in a way that we could grasp and understand. If you’re in doubt, just call Dubin Law. I was hit by an SUV as a pedestrian that caused a traumatic brain injury and they were absolutely indispensable in helping me recover. Coming back from all my injuries to this capacity wouldn’t have been possible without them. They stressed my physical wellness and took care of all the legal headaches I hadn’t any bandwidth for and I’m so grateful they did.
My lawyers Betsylew and Josh were personable, courteous and very effective. After talking to lawyers from other firms, my introductory meeting with Josh made hiring them an easy decision. Mr. Dubin seemed like a good guy with a brilliant smile. I only met him in passing. My caseworkers were always on point and never let me hang. The office manager Vivian Wang is one of my favorite people. Beyond being a tremendous human being, she went out of her way to make sure I was ok. My wife was runover in a crosswalk buy a driver. I witnessed the entire thing and it was one of the scariest moments of my life. Fortunately my wife survived but she had very serious injuries which required surgery and hospitalization. Shortly before this event, My wife and I had recently moved to the United States and were unfamiliar with the insurance claims process and how to recover for our injuries. Ryan was referred to us through my wife’s work and he immediately returned my call when I contacted him. We had lots of questions at the beginning and Ryan explanations took a few calls. I could tell he really wanted us to understand what our options were as far as recovery. He also did an excellent job explaining our health insurance benefits and how that related to our claims. When it came time to resolve our claims Ryan continued to be effective. Unfortunately the insurance policy that the driver had was not sufficient to compensate us for our injuries. Therefore Ryan was able to recover money out of the at-fault driver’s pocket for our injuries. Once we recovered as much as we could, Ryan then turned his attention to our health insurance company and did an excellent job dealing with it and its reimbursement claims. This entire matter was traumatic and extremely difficult. I am very thankful that we had Ryan to help us with our recovery and guide us through this process. On a nice day in July a few years ago I was walking down a city sidewalk. The area that I was in was poorly designed for pedestrian traffic. As I was searching for the correct sign to re-direct me to my route, I tripped over a heightened slab of sidewalk. I quickly threw my hands in front of me to brace for the impact, but before my hands could get situated I struck my head and face on the pavement. It was painful and required many medical and dental procedures. When I eventually hired Ryan to handle my case he went to work right away, documenting the area where the fall occurred and sending numerous public records requests to the entities in charge of maintaining the sidewalks to see if there had been complaints in the past. I suspected this was going to be a complicated and difficult matter because of how large the entities were that were responsible for keeping the sidewalk safe. Ryan was tenacious in pursuing the defendants, and after obtaining several thousand pages of documents he was able to locate a smoking gun compliant filed a year or so before my fall, which put one of the entities on notice of the sidewalk. Of course nothing was ever done to fix it, and that dangerous condition caused my fall. We had to file suit, and Ryan continued to pursue the defendants and the truth no matter what obstacles were thrown at him. In the end we were able to resolve my case satisfactorily. I was very impressed with Ryan’s abilities as an advocate and an attorney. I highly recommend contacting him if you’ve been injured and need someone to advocate for you.

Ryan did a awesome job representing my daughter and I after we were in a multiple impact collision on the freeway. Each party claimed the other was at fault so that made it very difficult for my daughter and I. We hired Ryan and he knew what to do right away. We ended up filing suit against both parties but were able to resolve the case without a trial. What was even more difficult was getting the court to approve my daughters recovery. Because of the pandemic it was very difficult to obtain a hearing date for my daughters settlement. Ryan was very persistent in making sure everything was done correctly. I never write reviews, but make an exception because David Abeyta and his law firm deserve an excellent review. My husband was the victim of a dog attack in 2022. We’ve lived in a quiet Ellensburg neighborhood for about 15 years and my husband uses a walker. When he exited our fenced area to our mailbox on the street, a neighbor’s dog came out of nowhere from behind, and threw my husband to the pavement, leaving him immobile with a broken pelvis and in extreme pain. He spent two weeks in the hospital and it took him a good six months to recover. We sought legal help from Abeyta Nelson, and David and his staff did an excellent job.
People sometimes think they can do everything themselves and don’t need a lawyer or think it will cost too much. But someone in an injury crisis may not have good judgment when upset and distracted. Good legal representation is needed and is well worth the cost of the services.
Insurance companies often pressure people to settle quickly for a low dollar amount, before the full extent of injury is known. Settling too quickly can be a serious mistake.
Here are the reasons I chose Abeyta Nelson to help us through this crisis to a good settlement figure:
1) When my husband was injured and in the hospital, I knew I was not in the right mental state to use good judgment;

I retained Steve after getting stopped in Leavenworth for a DUI after a night at Oktoberfest and a weekend with friends. I was in a terrible accident while driving down Grady way in Renton Washington.
