Cindy took over my divorce case from my former lawyer and she quickly learned all the details of the case. My divorce was not amicable or simple. We owned several properties together and our finances were very complicated. Cindy's knowledge, professionalism and efficiency kept my ex and I focused on the negotiations. She skillfully mediated difficult, touchy topics and she kept the process moving. She is well-versed in handling divorces and clearly explained my options each step of the way. My ex didn't have a lawyer so Cindy had to deal with him directly, as he was pro se (representing himself). She's great with people and summed up my situation with him pretty quickly. She dealt with him perfectly. We were able to sign a fair agreement that I was happy with and we avoid a costly trial. Cindy Sanchez has been my lawyer since 2005. She was referred to me through a legal plan I had at my job. I hired Cindy to help me obtain a shared physical and legal custody of my children. My case was fairly complicated since my children's mother took them to another state with the intention of relocating to that state just before the beginning of the school year. My children were supposed to go back to school in September 2005 in New York City. However, their mother enrolled them in a school in another state, 700 miles away from New York City. Cindy was able to convince the judge to schedule a court hearing early in September 2005. This was extremely important because the longer my children stayed in the school out-of-state, the smaller the chance that the judge would order to bring my children back in their school in New York was. Cindy was extremely helpful to ensure that my children's mother could be served with the order to appear in court. My children's mother was very difficult to find. I first try the local police to serve her but it did not work. Cindy advised me to hire a local professional to do the serving. In a matter of minutes, she was able to identify this professional. It was critical to do the serving during the appropriate time window. Otherwise, the court date would have been postponed to October 2005. As I mentioned before, this would have tremendously reduced the chance of having my children back in their school in New York for the year 2005-2006. During the court hearing in September 2005, the judge ordered that my children had to return to their school in New York. I was relieved by this decision. I can say that without the expertise and responsiveness of Cindy, my children would not have returned to New York.
Cindy was resourceful, insightful, and supportive at every stage of the divorce process. She helped me obtain a shared physical and legal custody of my children. She has also successfully helped me with a few custody issues since the divorce. Cindy is a very intelligent and knowlegdeable lawyer who has the ability to listen to the client and fully understand his/her needs, concerns, and fears. I have also appreciated her very pleasant and balanced personality. I highly recommend Cindy.

When my ex wife hired a top Madison Ave lawyer to represent her interests in a very poorly drawn out divorce/property settlement with a lot of loose ends, (Mediator shall remain anonymous) - it threw me and my current wife into turmoil.
I felt fear.
We were so fortunate to have found Lauren to represent us.
Lauren grounded us and explained the situation and its various outcomes. Lauren worked tirelessly and expertly and responded to our questions.
Lauren argued our points elegantly and directly against a very aggressive and established opposition team. Lauren acted patiently with us when we asked the same questions more than once and answered messages that were time sensitive at one point at 2;30am so that we could respond on time.

This has been my first experience meeting with a lawyer. Surprisingly, my meeting with Jason went so well. It was very informative and educational. After listening to my situation patiently, he advised me on what steps I need to take to protect my children and myself in my pending divorce case.

I went to him concerning a custody issue after I was pretty much told by another lawyer that my children's emotional feelings were irrelavent & I had no argument as long as they were not coming home bruised or physically broken. He took the time to talk with my children. He fought for my children's rights & he is - in my book - a child advocate. He was very informative & great with the kids. He made a scary situation not so scarey. I trusted him with my children and they are getting the help they need. He made the law work for the little people.

The first thing Robin McCarty did was lay out my case, the possibilities - both good and bad - with straight forward, even if brutal, honesty. Many people have ended up with dire consequences because their case was sugar coated and made to look like no problem. Robin sits with you and tells you the truth.
Robin then carefully, patiently, guided me through the process for almost two years - the end result was a full dismissal of charges.
One unique thing about Robin, he was a former peace officer and previous prosecutor - so he understood both sides of the system. This was tremendously helpful.

My divorce became entangled with accusations and charges that faced overwhelming consequences and losses that no person is prepared for. It was impossible for me to see any possible resolution or hope of a happy future. Meredith is one of those rare finds: she listens and she understands. She's reachable and she returns calls immediately. Catherine was a great "partner" to help me through my divorce. I had a fairly difficult situation with custody and she helped navigate through very skillfully. She is extremely smart, consultative and will always shoot straight with you.
One of the things I like most about Catherine is her "get it done" attitude. With most attorneys - the clock is their friend. With Catherine - she always did what was in my best interest and did it efficiently. Just one telling example - we needed to file a document early on in the process and instead of taking handwritten notes (like most attorneys would), and having her paralegal type it up later, review it, etc... Catherine turned around to her computer and just hammered it out. It saved time because it was done then, and it was done right the first time. I'm not saying this will happen all the time - but its a good example of her personality.
She didn't always agree with what I wanted to do, but was always able to calmly explain the possible implications and we always came out with a solid strategy. All in all, the best outcome was achieved for me and for my children.
I highly recommend her.

Mr Sykora and I were faced with the challenge of obtaining Full or Joint Managing Conservatorship following a SAPCR case in which I filed. My grandson had lived with me since he was a 1 year old, because I had no problems with his mom, I didn't feel the need to have anything Court ordered (my mistake) to ensure that no one would be able to separate us.., Right before he turn 12, WALLA!! He was forced to live with his mom. The worst of times began. It was time for me to do something because he wanted to be home and to see me as well as the rest of his family. After hiring and meeting Mr Sykora, I felt at ease, I know I drove him crazy with keeping him informed of Everything, I wasn't missing a beat, he was kind as well as compassionate and totally understanding of what I was going through, whenever I needed to see him, he was a visit/call away! He advised me of everything to expect at the FH/Trial, the good as well as the bad, he was upfront and didn't cut any corners.. We were ready!! Fortunately, due to a delicate issue which I certainly didn't want my grandson exposed too, the opposing party reluctantly agreed in order to avoid Trial. I was awarded Joint Managing Conservatorship. It means the world to me as well as my grandson that I now have legal rights to him. I can legally remain in his life, regardless. It's in his best interest. Mr Sykora wasn't worried at all, matter of fact before the agreement, his Confidence level of me winning Full Custody was at an all time High. Sometimes when a Childs heart is involved, you have to come to an agreement, TO PROTECT THE CHILD!!! Thank you Mr Sykora, you were so nice to me and my family and I'll never forget what you made possible, I hope to bring my grandson to meet you all in person in the near future... To all whom may feel that you're being torn out of a child's life, don't let it happen, no matter what the situation is, FIGHT for whom you love, never just give up, seek legal counsel, and Mr Sykora knows his stuff!! My wife was rear ended while driving my truck. She was stopped at a red light and hit by a senior citizen. Her insurance company was totally unresponsive to our requests so we had to hire an attorney. Chadwick wrote a few emails, made few calls and the insurance company started listening. They immediately called and took our statements; they became very cooperative. They took care of all our expenses and because my truck was totaled, we were able to get a new truck to replace it. You can never know how your injuries will heal, or if you will completely heal, but so far, she has healed well. Overall, it was unfortunate that we had to go through this, but Chadwick helped us through this inconvenience seamlessly. I would recommend Chadwick if you need help in this area.
