My attorney explained to me what was required of me and what would be required by my husband. I highly recommend Vincent DeLuca as a collaborative divorce attorney. I hired him back in 2010 for a collaborative divorce, and his involvement helped to make it a success. He was already skilled in that area of law, at that time, despite it being new to many people in NJ.
In a collaborative divorce both lawyers become part of the “team”, yet in private they still offer guidance to their clients (that is my take on the process). So I wanted a lawyer who was both a team player and a straight shooter. If I was asking for too much I wanted him to tell me, and if I was not holding a fair line I also wanted to know. Throughout the process he offered that kind of honest guidance to me, and he helped to keep our son’s needs front and center. He also has skills as a mediator, and it was apparent to me that he truly wanted what was best for our son.
Vince is also capable of being assertive and seeing through tactics and posturing. I certainly did not want a typical divorce battle, but I want to be clear that if I had one I also would trust that Vince could help to protect me from those pitfalls. In many ways I feel he offers a great blend of all of those skills and needs. He is caring, experienced, creative and tactful. And above all he earned my trust at a high level. I ended up contacting him three other times, and referring a handful of friends to him. You never expect that when you are married and have children that you will be getting a divorce. I was incredibly fortunate to have Vince as my divorce lawyer. He explained everything to ahead of time and he guided me through the entire process in a manner that always made me feel comfortable and prepared. Scott was my attorney for a divorce that got very messy. Among other things, my ex-wife attempted to relocate my daughter to another city, had me served with a frivolous restraining order, and tried to have our parenting consultant removed after our divorce.
Throughout all of this, Scott provided excellent representation and guidance. Early in the case, he laid out a roadmap for how I would be able to maintain involvement in my daughter’s life and protect her interests. He showed me how I would be at serious risk of losing parenting time with my daughter if I did not make the right choices. As the divorce progressed, things went as Scott predicted, and I now have a custody and parenting time arrangement that is great for both my daughter and me.
Scott was never rattled by anything he encountered with my case. He has deep knowledge of Minnesota family law, and he had a strategic approach to every situation we faced. He gave me wise advice and encouraged me to take the high road. He was highly professional and ethical, and he helped me minimize my legal costs. I can tell that he cares about helping his clients, not just getting the job done.
Another thing I appreciated was that Scott tries to avoid litigation whenever possible. He prefers to settle things through mediation or direction negotiation, and he avoids pointless conflict. However, when my ex-wife took aggressive actions against me, Scott gave strong responses and forced her to back down. He tries to keep things amicable, but he is not afraid to take a strong stance when necessary.
We had only a single court hearing, when my ex-wife attempted to have our parenting consultant removed after the divorce. Scott gave compelling oral arguments and helped the judge see our perspective, even though she initially was inclined to grant my ex-wife’s request. She ruled in our favor after the hearing, and there is no doubt that Scott’s courtroom arguments were key to that outcome.
I feel very fortunate to have worked with Scott in my divorce. I could not have asked for a better outcome, and Scott’s representation and advice are what made it possible. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a family law attorney.

I had a very difficult family law issue regarding my ex-spouse's ongoing parenting plan violations and documented parental alienation efforts on my daughter. I had spent years working w/ past attorneys and family therapists to help ameliorate some of the more destructive effects of my kids' mother's behavior. The clock was running out quickly for any type of legally enforceable remedies - family therapy or otherwise.
Scott promptly assessed my case via his legal assistant and decided that I had run out of legal remedies. I still needed more info so I scheduled a paid consultation. When we finally met, Scott immediately cut to the chase and in just a few minutes gave me a complete and definitive legal prognosis about winning any additional legal action or even getting my daughter into any type of reunification therapy. Zippo chance. I had previously spent thousands working w/ another attorney just trying to get this answered.
Scott correctly perceived that our family issues were far more than legal. He spent the remaining 45-50 minutes of our 1 hour consult giving me some of the best family therapy advice I ever had. He had seen a lot of parental alienation cases and understood the long-term affect on adolescents and parents. He was empathetic. He understood the big picture. I would go so far as to say that single session was transformative. I so wish I had found him at the beginning of my divorce. With Scott, I knew I would have definitely gotten what I paid for.
For all who read this, please be aware that for many going through a divorce, you get one chance to do it right. After that, you can nibble at the edges w/ some modifications but if you don't have a competent attorney fighting for you from the start, you could get utterly steamrollered. I spent more on legal fees trying to enforce a court order drawn up by my original "econo-lawyer" then I did for the original divorce.
Scott knew what I needed and not only did he not try to sell me more futile legal services, he even waived the consult fee. His generosity of time, counsel and spirit made him stand out head and shoulders w/ any other family attorney I worked with over the past 7 years.

I met Patricia Cistaro when she was a senior associate attorney working for a large family law practice in New Jersey. During my initial consultation with Patricia, she advised me of the requirements to support a viable alimony modification case. I was impressed with her expertise and candidness, so when I felt it was the right time to petition the courts for alimony modification, I sought out Patricia and found that she had started her own practice. I engaged Patricia to represent me in a motion to modify or terminate my alimony obligation due to a significant change in circumstances, my approaching retirement age, and my ex-wife’s suspected cohabitation.
Patricia provided valuable guidance to me with regard to obtaining evidence and providing documentation that I needed to support my case. She communicated with my ex-wife and espoused the benefits of trying to reach an agreement of modification without the necessity of filing a costly motion. Patricia communicated to my ex-wife the date we intended to file a motion with the court if we were unable to negotiate a modification. Just before the expiration of the deadline, my ex-wife gave notice of her imminent marriage and shortly thereafter signed a Consent Order that officially terminated my alimony obligation.
During Patricia’s engagement, I received “big” firm legal expertise and experience, but with a comfortable “small” firm closeness. Hopefully, I will never need to engage the services of a family law attorney again, but if I did, I would hire Patricia Cistaro without reservation.

I worked with a divorce attorney before. I didn't know I could have been more protected until I found Arelis. I wish my previous attorney could have protected me more. Actually, I wish I found Arelis sooner and hired her as my attorney back then. This is the second time I had to go back to court because my ex wanted to stop paying child support.
Going through a divorce is very stressful and emotional beyond words can describe. Arelis helped calming me down as I was so lost, nervous and stressed. Michael Reinhardt is a fantastic attorney to whom I will be forever grateful. He is friendly, caring, capable and experienced. I messed up badly several year’s ago and was caught red-handed, in the act. I was arrested, jailed, and charged with a felony criminal offense that carried a mandatory minimum sentence of eighteen months imprisonment. The outcome - guilty - seemed inevitable, and I dreaded the consequences. Michael Reinhardt represented me during the many court appearances I had to make. He explained the various stages of the judicial proceedings, and contacted me regularly to discuss progress and the strategy he was following to best defend me.

She is so thorough with the client and she has a great relationship with many of the “important players” in Walton County CourtHouse! I was updated on a regular basis. However since this case was delayed and extended due to the pandemic it was a bit more expensive than I expected but I wasn’t ever overcharged for anything at all I think it’s a big deal for you too have someone like Mrs. Stewart working for you and your family!! She’s knows the law especially Family Law and she’s just great, honest, and a engaging lawyer for her clients! I would highly recommend Carol to anyone dealing with DCS. After spinning my wheels for almost a year with DCS doing any and everything requested I felt like I was getting no where and terrified of losing my boys. After retaining Carol she spent a few days with me initially, really learning about my case Inside and out. She truly cared and has a passion for what she does. She told me not to worry that my boys would come home to just stick with her. She knew exactly how to handle DCS and in such short time came to an agreement to work on a plan for boys to return home. She is a firecracker and will let your voice be heard. I had been pushed around for a year by DCS jumping thru every hoop 20x and finally felt like I was being treated fairly once Carol came in the picture. My divorce was not particularly complex but my wife hired a top-tier lawyer who has a reputation for shenanigans. I interviewed quite a few attorneys but only Charles had the experience and character to navigate dynamic legal challenges without resorting to dirty tactics. Charles established and maintained a firm and respectful strategy that was sound from the start. Carolann Aschoff was my attorney in my recently completed divorce. Although my divorce was extremely amicable and my ex-wife and I had pretty much decided and agreed on everything prior to the papers even being filed I felt the need to have an attorney review our property settlement agreement to ensure that I was protected and I chose Ms. Aschoff. Attorney Barry Fayne is one of the greatest people that I know, and I am more than happy that he agreed to take my case. At the time that he decided to get involved, I had been through four attorneys who seemed reluctant to deal with the tumultuous issues on my case. Attorney Fayne’s involvement changed everything!

We hired Barry on the recommendation of our attorney, who had a conflict and could not represent us for a specific hearing. Barry took us on as clients and immediately understood a very complex case and the seriousness of the issues of the hearing. He treated us like we were longstanding clients (even though we had just met) and listened to and responded to every one of our communication in a way that showed he is “all-in” for his clients when he takes a case. After observing him in action, I can confirm that he is highly skilled in arguing in front of a judge, has vast experience across multiple counties and knows multiple judges and courtrooms, and knows family law inside and out. While I’m happy with my current attorney (who also hired Barry, and hence recommended him when the conflict arose), I’d not hesitate to hire Barry again and recommend him to everyone I know. Lauren Taylor was great! She's professional and, using her years of experience, was realistic on how to handle certain issues we ran into along the way. She's not your typical lawyer, she actually listens, cares about you & your family and isn't trying to charge a lot of money.. for us to ultimately get nowhere. (Some lawyers are just looking to nickel & dime you to death, she didn't).

Two and a half years ago our very happy and peaceful life in retirement came to a very sudden halt. I was amazed at how fast Zelma handled my case! It was last minute and I was in contact and in a meeting with her mere days before my court hearing for disputed child support modification. Zelma represented me in a very acrimonious divorce. I honestly don't know how she put up with all of my emotions for 2 years. After a 25 year marriage, I didn’t know where to begin to find legal representation with the knowledge, professionalism, and support to guide me through the tribulations of divorce. Ms Dilima listened, explained my options, helped me understand what I was entitled to, and won the custody and alimony arrangement that was in the best interests of my children and me.
