Divorce is probably one of the most stressful things in anyone's life. Kathleen had the disadvantage of entering as my second attorney. After a failed mediation and a too quiet and too sweet attorney, I found Kathleen. My sister-in-law had testified for her in a case and was incredibly impressed. I soon concurred. Kathleen was honest, real and told me the truth - not what she thought I wanted to hear. Exactly what I wanted and needed. She found the perfect mediator for us (I do believe there is an art in picking the right mediator for a client!). Kathleen allowed me my emotions (believe me, there were a few!) but also kept me focused on the things that mattered. She's smart, great with numbers (accounting background) and a wicked sense of humor. Everything I could have asked for and more! I ended up with my kids (#1) and all the "real" money (#2). Only wish I had started with her and saved myself 8 months of grief!

I hired an attorney over the summer to handle a custody case as my kids were in a dangerous situation. In sixty days this attorney took me through two losing trials and ended up billing over $65,000. In the process she managed to upset two judges.
In the end my children were left in a more dangerous situation than had I done nothing.
I felt I had let my children down and was more than disheartened. That said, I could not give up and leave them in the situation they were in. I decided I needed to try again with a new attorney.
I was recommended to Kathleen’s firm by a friend. As you can imagine I was skeptical at first as my prior experience was so disheartening - I felt it was all about "billable hours".
When I met with Kathleen one of the first things she said was “If I ever have something on your bill you don’t agree with, tell me and I will take it off”. I was still skeptical until I received my first monthly billing.
In short, her billings were concise and understandable. More importantly, she took five minutes, and billed five minutes, to do a five minute job. Through about four months of engagement I never felt like I was being miked for time, and never felt I was treated unfairly.
We ended up in mediation - which is a lot of waiting. Even in mediation Kathleen said “I can sit here and speak with you and bill you for my time, or I can work on other cases while we wait.” Having been through other mediations over the years there is a lot of waiting time. This is the first time I had been given this option!
With that said, it doesn't matter what an attorney costs if your children are not taken care of.
My end result is that after about four months of working with Kathleen I have my children with me full time, child support is reversed (with me receiving instead of paying), and I am able to move my children out of state – almost unheard of in a custody situation. I ended up being billed about a quarter what my previous attorney had billed in just two months over the summer – AND most importantly I got results that keep my kids safe!
I have worked with many attorneys through businesses I have been involved with through the years. It had always seemed like a game of “how many hours can I bill you for”. I absolutely did not feel this way with Kathleen.
I could not recommend her more highly. She is absolutely the best attorney I have ever worked with.

I don't even know where to begin. Greg and Hope have been the greatest of help. They helped me with one of the hardest decisions I have ever had to make! (family law) Within a few minutes of our first phone call, I knew I had a great attorney and staff to represent me. I found ONE!! I found an honest Lawyer. He not only returns phone calls but he is also available to update his client on the status of the case. Brian handled a personal injury for me and my five. I was extremely satisfied with the way Brian worked.

My son was in some really questionable situations with his Dad. I found Rob quickly on google and made a panic call. He called me back, talked to me for an hour or so to get a feel for my case, and we set an appointment. I was immediately impressed by him. My case was tricky, but Rob calmed my anxious mind time and time again. He never made me feel like I was a burden. I never felt taken advantage of by him and he was sensitive to my financial situation. He went the extra mile by hiring outside help when needed, and we were able to keep my son out of further harms way. He was always honest with how certain situations might play out in court. First I need to say who I am to give what I have to say any value.
I am a Christian, Father, Marine Veteran, and a Nurse in my Mid 30's.
My mistake with Robert is that at first, I only used him for consultation when I should have had him represent me from the beginning . I thought I was smart and I could do this on my own. I was wrong and at the first court hearing it cost me both custody of my son and financially with child support.
After that I knew I needed to put it all on the table, barrow money, take out a loan. I did what ever it took to have Robert represent me and try to get my son back.
Two things need to be mentioned. First is you wont find cheaper out there for his 30 plus years skill set. Second is Robert is a lawyer, Not a banker.
When I say Not a banker, Robert had many opportunities to let things go in a direction that would of benefited him greatly with lawyer fees but he didn't.
Robert not only represented me, he also represented my financial well being. He directed my case so that most of the fees fell on opposing party. Luckily my ex hired a banker and not a lawyer and was happy to run up her charges.
Not only that, I kept a detailed log of all the text, email, phone calls, meetings etc I had with Robert and every time he well undercharged me.
A few times I wanted the case to go in a direction that I thought was best, I was wronged and I wanted justice. Robert respectfully advised that some things will cost you more than they are worth. Once again looking out for my well being when I was blinded by hurt and could not see a clear path.
Robert is reliable, accurate, and fast. Every time Robert had gotten back to me within the Hour or at the most same day. He also knows how to put the pressure on opposing party and get results fast.
At the end of my case. Robert not only got me my son back, I got everything and didn't have to pay child support. Way more than I thought that I would get.
I told him that his Humanity was greater than many than I have seen in my life so far and this is true when someone takes less and does more to help a complete stranger.
And what really impressed me was that not only did he help my case in the moment, he made sure that the agreed ruling would protect my son and I for the future. That's why I say Robert does not just represent you, he represents your well being.
There are not words that I could say or write that could show how grateful I am that you helped get my son back.

Kay represented me during a very long divorce process as well as in multiple post-divorce hearings that arose. She is extremely competent, and took time to explain how things worked and prepared me for what to expect throughout the entire process. Romy was hired to help represent me through a heavy custody battle. As a father, in the state of Indiana, I had already fought the uphill battle and lost with a previous attorney. However, when I met with Romy and team, it was clear we had a path to success albeit several obstabcles in the way. Romy was able to guide me and my family through the process with thought, care and determination. I literally thought there was no hope, but instead, Romy was able to dictate the pace of everything, manage accordingly and quite literally destroy the competition. The balance of which was a decision from the bench, which I might add, is rather unheard of in custody cases. In that same vein, Romy was able to secure my daughters safety through full legal and primarr physical custody awarded to me, Dad.
If it were for Romy, my daughters safety would be in question on a daily basis, but instead, we can rest easy. This is all thanks to Romy.

I met Mr. Elswerky when I hired him to expunge an arrest record for my son. I was very angry that police arrested my son for no arrestable reason. He was visiting a fraternity brother when police knocked on the door. His frat brother refused to answer on the grounds that police didn't have a warrant, which is his right. One police officer stayed at the front door while the other went and got a warrant. Frat brother opened the door and everyone inside was arrested. There were several young men in the apartment. Prosecutor didn't prosecute b/c there was nothing to prosecute, but my son ended up with an arrest record. I suppose the warrant could have been appealed, but when prosecutor didn't move forward we thought it best just to seek expungement. Needless to say I am still angry at the police conduct and can only hope for karma for them and their families. Anyway, back to Mr. Elswerky, who filed the proper paperwork, set up a hearing for expungement. My son and I met him at the courthouse to attend the hearing. We waited approximately 2 hours for the judge and prosecutor to start, as the prosecutor was busy with another case in another courtroom. In those 2 hours we go to know more of Mr. Elswerky. He explained what was going to happen in the courtroom and my son's future concerning the expungement. When all this happened my son was a sophomore on college. He is going to graduate next month and then off to med school. I hope this review helps those in need of a criminal lawyer. I also hope we will never need Mr. Elswerky, but just in case, I would definitely hire again.

When i first met with Lori, she encouraged me to get consults from other attorney's before i made my decision. I respect that because I did not feel forced into making a life changing decision. Lori was very knowledgeable and honest about my case. She was very responsive to my emails and phone calls. I engaged Ms Hoddy to represent me in an uncontested divorce. Even though it was uncontested there were a lot of details to consider due to it being a 20 year marriage with a minor child and a business. I found her to be both extremely personable and highly professional with a significant amount of related experience. I was referred to Lori by another attorney who stated that Lori is the right attorney for my case. My case was regarding alimony for a CA considered long term marriage that I failed to obtain any relief in past court appearances. I hired Channe in the tenth hour just before my evidentiary hearing on custody, visitation, and child support. My prior attorney disappeared, and given the circumstances I couldn't push out the hearing and go with the date I had, only a week away. I met with multiple attorneys, but because I had already been paying for an attorney I was low on funds. I couldn't afford many attorneys' retainers (some asked for $10k-$20k), but Channe's was much more affordable.
Channe really went to bat for me and represented me better than I could have imagined. My children are now safe and thriving under the new schedule and I'm receiving more child support than I was previously told I would because she found funds my ex was hiding. Although there was very little time between when I retained her and my hearing, she and her staff were very responsive to my questions and guided me through the process. If I need a family law attorney again, Channe will be my first call.

I hired Ms. Lubritz after my divorce. There were error in the original decree. Ms. Lubritz has gone above and beyond to fix the errors. To set the stage, I'm a father in CA who won custody of my two daughters. This is not normal, but with Marie it can. My partner and I hired Marie Braun to help him through his divorce. It had stalled after three years of separation and seemed no end was in sight. Ms. Braun was wonderful in keeping perspective in our case. This was a severe alienation case and lies about payment of support. The other party did not keep any records of support payments made and filed a ridiculous claim that no support was made. Marie meticulously went through all bank records and wage garnishments and determined the OVER payment of over $15,000!
She also was able to get the court to modify a custody order to help get back to a reasonable visitation schedule.
When we felt desperate that there would be no end to this, she helped encourage us. We were truly grateful for her help in getting our case on a forward track. I would recommend her to any of my friends going through a divorce.

Sandy may handle a lot of cases as other lawyers do, but unlike those other lawyers, she will actually pay attention to and remember the details of your case. She is also really good at math and with financials. If a family lawyer isn’t good at those things, it can dramatically increase the costs of a divorce in a way that can affect you for years.

Tripp was exactly the lawyer we needed, when we needed him. The contractors on my home ripped me off, walked off the job, did a flawed job of what was completed, needless to say they did not complete the entire job. To top things off, the contractors filed a lien on my house. There were several twists and turns throughout the case. Just before trail, I went into the hospital with no direct contact/planning from Tripp. Tripp was still prepared anyway despite being limited in the decisions he could make. Within the last two days of court, the contractors brought in a new hot shot attorney from out of state. The new attorney disregarded the discovery process since he was not involved. My first expert witness was promptly dismissed. The court went into continuance. Tripp managed get to the testimony from my first expert witness anyway. In the end, the judge dismissed the contractor's case and granted me a judgement. A two-attorney team did not have skill nor court room presence to defeat Tripp’s preparation, presentation and court room presence. I have only hired a few attorneys who all have done some great things for me. Tripp is the top of the list.
