Attorney Beilke is very knowledgeable on Wisconsin family law, and so when I asked him questions, he had ready answers, which saves time. He was aware that I had a tight budget and so he let me know what I could do on my own vs. paying him to do, to help keep my costs down. He was also unflappable when the opposing party became contentious.

I started my divorce process with a lawyer who did not litigate, first of all because I felt that lawyer was highly qualified, but also because I believed that it would be best to try to mediate the settlement for the benefit of myself, my now ex, and for our three children. Unfortunately, and after nearly two years of trying, it became clear that my wife preferred the scorched earth approach and that I needed to hire a litigator. My lawyer recommended that I turn to Sarah Kuhns for the help I needed to bring things to closure.
Sarah quickly understood the dynamics of my case and brought to it her knowledge of negotiating under the threat of litigation. It was a much different approach than I had been trying to date, but Sarah had a detailed understanding of the litigation process as well as a great insight as to how decisions would be made if the case went to court. She provided me with excellent advice on when to accept a part of the other side’s offer, when to reject it, and when to press for my position. She offered advice and counsel and allowed me to make the decisions based on her input. Her understanding of some of the more complex aspects of my case were infinitely helpful to me, and when there was an issue where she had an industry contact to consult, she consulted them on my behalf.
As painful as the process was given my ex-wife’s approach, we were able to come to an agreement at the eleventh hour and arrive at a settlement before facing the judge. When all hope was lost I stumbled upon Mrs. Crawford through a google search. I had no idea of the firm or her excellence specifically. I had, up to this point, my other sought after representation fail me miserably and had been misguided and unruly dealt with by the Chesapeake Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court on multiple occasions. I had literally given up hope in that I would never get to be apart of my sons life the way that I wanted to be. With having already spent a great deal of time and money in the matter I was just drained physically, mentally, and financially. For any father who has dealt with our broken system, its supposed ultimate 'judges of character,' and their puppets, you will know that it is not an easy road to travel. With the encouragement of a few and with nothing to lose I went for it one last time. The day I sat down with her in the quiet and rather small but warming confines of her office I explained and expressed to her in probably a quite disgruntled way, as perceived by Mrs. Crawford, my situation. All my insecurities changed within the 30 minutes I was there, of course I was not entirely sold yet but that was just the beginning. Skipping forward to the best part; Now my relationship with my little boy is stronger than ever and so is he, academically, mentally, physically, and socially. I am not saying that Mrs. Crawford can work miracles, you have to go to her with a good foundation in yourself and the reasons for your requests but she definitely takes care of it from there. I hired Heritage law for visitation interference with my parent-time. I was referred by another attorney. Ron Wilkinson and Marianne Card represented me and my children very well. We won every action that we took to the courts.
I was tempted to retain a less experienced attorney, but Heritage law representation was well worth the extra cost. Their experience with complicated custody law and ability to explain my rights was priceless. I would highly recommend using Heritage law for divorce and custody matters.

Face it, no one “wins” in divorce; however my experience with Ms. Card is as close as it will come.
Ms. Card and Ron Wilkinson worked on my case as a team and their expertise introduced solutions for the long term emotional, financial and physical security of the children and I that I never would have thought of. I “lost” by the things I had on my agenda; however I was too emotionally raw and inexperienced to see the bigger picture.
Ms. Card invested numerous hours truly working to understand all the components of the case, pouring over emails and texts between the children, my ex and I. That devotion made all the difference as we faced opposing counsel. Accusations were quickly retracted as she had documentation and a working knowledge of each child's perspective. She also went "above and beyond" by even answering the smallest of concerns in my emailed questions with an almost immediate response.
Words of advice, gather all your documentation, communicate with your ex through email and text, document every interaction, be clear and concise with “just the facts” and send that to Ms. Card at least once a month. You clearly communicating with her will go a long way in how much she can help you.
My case was responding to a petition my ex filed to modify our divorce agreement. I wish I had Ms. Card and Mr. Wilkinson by my side during the original divorce, not only would my ex not have been able to do that (Mr. Wilkinson and Ms. Card added to the modification that all future disagreements must go through mediation before anything can be filed against the other party), I believe I would have had a much healthier arrangement then what I agreed to in the original divorce.
Though my ex filed the petition to modify, I came out of it with the modified divorce agreement being a better solution for ME. Marianne Card is worth every penny and I couldn’t recommend her more

I used this lawyer for my custody case 2 years ago. She still helps me with issues that arise. Her fees are reasonable and she does a good job. I felt like she was able to pry me off the ceiling a few times but she listened to me and felt like she was really on my side. As an added bonus, she was able to work with the other lawyer which saved me money.

I have been dealing with Mrs. Hawkins since 2016 and have been following her with any changes in firms she has made, which mind you are NOT many. In my last journey, Hawkins was no longer in the same role in this firm. Needless to say, it DID NOT matter, I got to work with another Attorney, Joy and it was certainly a joy to be involved and work with her. Joy was a lot more timely in getting things accomplished then I was and I certainly was able to experience why! Paralegals on up o attorneys, all communicate effectively and efficiently when involved in matters. Getting into face to face appointments, have been same day or with in hours, the next day. Very beneficial in getting quick face to face appointments, especially with a firm that handles a multitude of areas. The firm in whole, has a great relationship with other attorneys in the area, which pays dividends when working with or against the other party. Laura is the type of attorney that you see on television shows like "Law and Order." She's a formidable opponent, and extremely logical and rational. I was referred to Hirsch & Ehlenberger by a family friend in early 2017 to handle my divorce. Among the attorney's I met and worked with, was Sharon Pederson. Sharon worked alongside my primary lawyer, Brian Hirsch. The case involved my ex suddenly stopping spousal support with out going through the courts and then suing me to stop support altogether. She was my main point of contact and did most of the research thorough discovery. She was always available and supportive. From the beginning of the process to the end, Ms. Scales was professional, extremely knowledgeable and well prepared. I never once felt uneasy or unsure going into a hearing. She would always let me know beforehand what to expect at that time. Her staff was always professional and when I would call the office to ask a question regarding my case, they were extremely helpful and would call me back promptly with the answer. Attorney Ortman Miller is a sensible, knowledgeable, fair, tough and responsive lawyer. She successfully managed two of my cases (divorce & child custody) simultaneously and the outcomes were in my favor. I was involved in a very serious automobile accident that has required me to have 12 surgeries up to now. If it would not of been for Arlene and her associates , I don't know what my family and I would have done or where we would of ended up. Ms. Colon helped us with an issue involving my husband's ex-wife. The issue was quickly resolved once she became involved. She was very supportive throughout the process and I felt that what I paid her was reasonable. Amanda is amazing at what she does. I came to Amanda, frantic. My husband and I had separated more than a year ago and had always had a civil arrangement regarding our children’s custody agreement. When I got offered a job out of town, he agreed to let the children come with me and to follow shortly there afterwards.
However, once things actually started to move into action. My ex shut down and decided he wanted full custody of the children. He kept them from me, only allowing “supervised visits” at his mother’s house. I found myself stuck in a new town with no legal rights to my children because we did not have an Attorney drafted Separation Agreement in place. The police could not even help me.
Amanda was there for me through every step of the way. She was professional, kind and firm when needed. She drafted an Agreement based on what I wanted, listening to what was most important to me. We prepared to go to Court if needed. Luckily, it did not get that far but only because of Amanda’s tact, patience, and kindness in handling this tense situation between two angry individuals.

I was in need of lowering my Child support, 1 of my Boy's has already reached the age of 18 and my other is about to. I was going to handle this on my own, thinking it was a open and shut case. After reading the overwhelming snip it's online about how bad that really was to represent yourself, I started having 2nd thoughts. Then my Divorce started to flash through my head on how expensive that was to retain the Lawyer, then the court/filing fee's etc..etc.. I am glad I did that and glad I came across Mr. Pearsall, he was and is nothing short of professional, called me back when needed, answered all my e-mails in a timely manner and recommended we try and get both Boy's child support terminated together so I would not have to go back to court again in 2 months. After what I thought was a mutual and uncontested divorce I had to retain Attorney Pearsall when my X began alienating my children from me and threatening to litigate against me if I did not pay more in child support that I was required, or pay her additional monies she was not entitled to. I unfortunately handled the case PRO SE and made a few legal errors which came back to haunt me. Attorney Pearsall was able to block litigations against me attempting to extract additional monies, and get a court ruling providing for once a week parenting time with my minor daughter. If I had retained his services instead of going it PRO SE things would have been so much easier and turned out so much better for me and my kids.
