I was referred to Dan by another trusted attorney and thank goodness because I think it would be difficult to find the best just by going "to the phone book" aka online.
I've worked with Dan and his firm on a couple of family law occasions and he was highly responsive, professional, and overall very reasonable for the value provided. He didn't every abuse time or make you feel "on the clock" but rather worked efficiently to solve the issues at hand, and worked in a very good timeline for the results that I had hoped to accomplish. Highly recommend him and his firm for family law.

Any custody case can be difficult, but with a narcissist you will be in for one of the most painful, stressful and expensive rides of your life. I knew I needed the best. I chose Dan - after meeting with several attorneys - because he actively listened to my needs and wants and responded intelligently. He also didn’t just tell me what I wanted to hear. His view was informed and balanced. I knew, no matter how willing I was to compromise, I was in for a battle. I needed an attorney who would take the high road but would also be aggressive when need be. Dan is honest, seasoned and smart. I am extremely happy with my decision to work with him and with the job he has done representing me.
Dan zeroed in on the immediate significant issues for me and my small child, as well as the future I wanted to build for us. After many years of squabbling with a narcissist and getting lost in crazy-making circles of disagreement with no resolution, I needed a plan in writing that we both agreed to. I got that and I was pleased with it. It took a lot of negotiation (because the other side created barriers) but in the end it was well worth it.
Dan also did an excellent job of distinguishing the limits of the law. Many times he encouraged compromise where appropriate and he repeatedly encouraged me to only pursue what a judge would uphold. Throughout my case he was an advocate and helped me avoid court for some time. However, in the end, because of the other side, it was unavoidable. Dan was incredibly well prepared for the trial, and he did a phenomenal job. He argued fairly and intelligently; he is a quick thinker and he didn’t miss a beat. We were successful on every single issue. This outcome makes an enormous impact on my child’s life. I would definitely want to work with him in the future and I have already recommended him to friends and colleagues.
Dan has decades of experience. He is also empathetic and has fair billing practices. Top-notch professional and decent human.

I'm not writing this review after realizing how grateful and fortunate I am now that my legal crisis has finally ended. I am writing to give the sincerest appreciation I can for the tireless efforts given by Dan Margolin and his entire staff for defending me against the most hostile, untrue, dishonest, calculating and devious attacks that anyone should ever have to be exposed to in one lifetime, and I am not exaggerating. I have never met anyone with such legal acuity and intensity when called upon than from Dan Margolin. I was frequently surprised and honored as I witnessed his tangible defensive responses against opposing council at each turn. I've also witnessed many times when the judge and opposing council thanked Dan for his legal enlightenment which assured me that Dan is no common attorney. I hired Huckaby Hicks and Angie when I decided to file for divorce in 2022. My divorce quickly became highly contested but Angie remained calm and committed to my case. Initially contacted Chris to handle my divorce and he surprised me with his knowledge of what could possibly be happening in regards to my spouses behavior. He was excellent with his communication and if he couldn't answer the phone he always called me back in a reasonable amount of time. He did an excellent job at explaining both sides of issues that I didn't understand giving me a wide angle view of my paticular situation. Chris represented me in a matter. Although, Chris did not always return my calls or emails on the drop of a dime, he did return them. As a paralegal, this is more than I can say for many attorneys. Sometimes this is because they are avoiding you and sometimes, it is simply because they are busy and/or have a case that has a sooner deadline than yours. Family matters can take years to resolve. Although mine was not a family matter, Chris did a great job in Court. Chris knew all the right things to say and when to say them. He was great with communicating with me and my family during the hearing. Chris had such a passion for what he was doing and was very knowledgeable about the laws and how they were to be applied. In the end Chris kicked butt for me and won my case. One of the best days of my life. I just wanted to hug him when it was all over!

What can I say...Chad is more to me than just my attorney. My case was long, drawn out and very emotional. Not only was he able to get me an outcome that I was very happy with, he was always there for me when I just needed to "vent". When I was looking for an attorney, I literally opened the phone book and ran my finger down the list of names and called the first one I stopped on, it was Chad. I had a very mind boggling to most lawyers case. I have special needs kids and he was able to walk me through this process with compassion and understanding! Not only did he save my children from more trauma by getting me as the 100% conservator, He did things that still have me in awe with his brilliance to educate the judge on the situation. When deciding to advertise that I had a small house ready for renters, many friends advised me to have a legal arrangement. They told me horror stories of how their renters destroyed their property and how renters collected damages when various unforeseen events damaged their property. I heard that it was hard to evict a renter if a legal agreement was not made. Jake was a life saver. I had no idea where to begin. He covered all the basics and things I would never have thought about but could become a big problem if Jake had not included the possibilities. My friends wished they had made a legal agreement when deciding to have renters on their property. Jake was knowledgeable and had my best interest his top priority. I will no doubt be contacting Jake next time I have legal implications.

I highly recommend Bender Elliot; when I first contacted Mr. Elliot he listened to my entire situation and offered advice before any mention of a payment. My case was affected by both Covid and a change in the laws surrounding my case between court dates. I have hired Tess Dunn — associate attorney — at this law practice and she is truly a breath of fresh air. I’m going through a very high-conflict and complex divorce with a child, property and businesses. I have had mixed experiences with my previous attorney, and felt that we were merely being reactive, and that the majority of our interactions with the opposing party were contentious.

Mr. bunting was appointed to be my son's Law Guardian for Family court. Mr. Bunting was very thorough and met with my son alone. It was was wonderful for my son to have a Law Guardian in the Family Court that was his advocate.

Mr. Bunting is absolutely the most professional lawyer I have ever dealt with. Lily is experienced, professional, knowledgeable, compassionate, fearless, and honest. She was the second divorce attorney I hired: the first one did not know how to handle a high conflict divorce, but Lily was quick to understand the situation, and fought for me, to achieve the best possible outcome in a bad situation. I was truly afraid of my ex spouse, who could be extremely spiteful, and Lily helped me to feel safe. I appreciated that she did not employ dirty tactics or lies, which the other party did, but was still an able, calm yet fierce advocate for me and for the interests of my children. She knows the laws and the courts very well. I could count on her to give me her honest assessment of the situation and possible/probable scenarios, to fight for me where it made sense to fight, but also to help to bring us to a workable agreement whenever the opportunity arose. She advocated so that I could make choices that I could live with: I wanted to keep my house, and she helped me to do that, even when the other party wanted to force me to sell it. However, she did encourage me to think about all of the options that were available to me before making my decisions. She was kind, patient, and encouraging when I felt that I could not tolerate the stress of the divorce. I just finished with more than a year long divorce "saga". Thanks to Lily, we were able to avoid a trial and the case was settled on quite reasonable terms.
When my now ex- filed for divorce, I interviewed 3 lawyers and did not feel comfortable. A friend of a friend of mine recommended Lily, and after we first met I was quite confident that I can trust her. Step after step after step, thanks to Lily, we were getting into more and more advantageous position.
Lily is a pleasure to deal with; she is easily accessible (you don't need to go through layers of secretaries, assistants to ask a question) , personable, very experienced, has a great intuition and great sense of humor.
Divorce is terrible situation, but if you get a lawyer that you are comfortable with, it makes things much easier.

Ivana was extremely helpful throughout my entire divorce process. From our initial consultation, I walked away with a lot of information, and not feeling as lost as I first felt when faced with this challenge. She gave a clear and honest overview of the process ahead of me.
Upon hiring her, and throughout the process she was always available and extremely quick in her responses to any questions or concerns that I had. Mr. Warner came recommended by another lawyer when our two teenage boys got into some serious legal trouble. Each boy was required to have a separate attorney. Mr. Warner did a lot of work to make sure that our son had the best chance possible. In the end, all that hard work ended up with our son not having any charges at all on his record. Our son was given a chance to have a life. Now he definitely stays out of trouble. We really appreciate the time and effort he put into it. When first approaching my divorce I must have tried meeting every lawyer I possibly could in order to find the right fit. I ended up knowing right when meeting him that this was the person I wanted to represent me in my battle that was going to be the worst thing I had ever in my life went threw. I walked in his office with a ton of anger from not being able to see my kids and all the false information being said about me. By the 3rd time I seen him I had my head firmly secured and was able to focus 100% on my goals. He was only a attorney yet made such a HUGE positive impact and set me and my children on the right path and not simply because he was being paid to do so. At many times he showed his genuine care, compassion and understanding. My kids grew to know his name and are still to this day very thankful for him. I am a father that now has my kids the majority of the time and can see to it the kids have a bright future. A few years have passed since concluding my divorce and I was forced to be right back in court for contempt that was so far from the truth. I figured I could try to find a cheap attorney to hopefully quickly fix the problem, 2 years later and thousands being wasted nothing was fixed. I once again hired Ken and the problem was fixed and luckily I am out of court again. I learned my lesson, any future needs he will be my first call! I poured many hours and eyestrain, I went without sleep and ate a poor diet, I did everything I could to create a business. After some hard times I am doing better than I every expected. With that money I took care of my family and raised three beautiful children and took care of my wife. Things changed and in a blink of an eye the change in my relationship put everything I worked for in jeopardy.
Rather than hash the details let me just say that he was recommended to me along with another attorney who I went to first. I went against my gut going with someone else at first because of mutual friends. (I was also conerned that he worked with a lot of women and might not be sympathetic, which was way off base.
After hearing from the other attorney that I should be ready to liquidate, lose the overwhelming majority of my money and my time with my youngest I went back to "Mr. Mo" I call him, (I'm calling him Pashan now).
He didn't sugar coat it either but he was ready to fight and to reason and do whatever was necessary so that I didn't have to entirely start over at this point of my life. It was ugly at times and he stepped up, and definitely switched it around to being on the offensive and planned for contingencies. In the end he forced my ex and her lawyer to be reasonable. He also helped me with a good deal of business and trust work and the sale and move I made. I hope I am conveying what a good lawyer and friend he has been. He wasn't trying to hurt people or stick it to anyone or keep things going just to do it, he was just trying to defend my interest in and get everyone to see how they could reasonably make the best of an unfortunate period we had to get through to be happy and move forward.
