I cannot recommend Michell highly enough! After hiring two lawyers before hiring Michell, I soon realized that finding legal aptitude is not easy. Having the wrong lawyer on your team can be frustrating and costly. From the very first phone call, Michell listened intently to my legal plight, which had become an extraordinarily complex and elaborate situation inside the court. Michell always listened to understand, and she communicated clearly in a way that I always felt well taken care of. Ultimately, Michell was able to argue my case during a motion for reconsideration, and it was successfully overturned. Vacating previous orders in Family Court is not an easy thing to accomplish! I had Maggie as my defense attorney in 2006. I was being railroaded by people, who worked with my EX, I was beat up but put on trial! Because they and my EX were bad mouthing me harassing me, trying to make it my fault. I was told to take a plea, but there was no way I would admit to something that I didn't do! She told me she had spunk, and boy did she! The prosecutor was really good! She pulled no punches. Her favorite phrase was "smoke and mirrors"
But the mighty Maggie Law was giving her all, and I was acquitted! She was so very compassionate and genuine! One of my favorite things she did for me was, She asked who my favorite actress was? then told me to pretend to be that actress that is who is playing the role of me!

My family worked with Maggie on a dependency law matter. She was able to clearly explain the intricacies and complexities surrounding our case, and she respected our needs and adjusted her strategy accordingly. Any legal proceeding is stressful, and family law is right up there: Maggie understood our situation, helped us prepare for various possible outcomes, and even smoothed out the wrinkles while we were waiting for the tedious wheels of the justice system. Finally, we were fortunate enough not to go to trial on this issue, and she did several things to manage to that outcome. She encourages amicability ("everyone is you new best friend"). She always hopes for the best, yet she is prepared to fight: I never actually saw her brass knuckles but I think I figured out where she kept them. She was extremely diligent and skillful at interfacing with the court and its staff. I highly recommend Margaret Law in dependency issues.

Bona represented my divorce case and she made the process as easy as a divorce possibly could be. The process can be emotionally overwhelming and gets worse if you have to struggle with attorney hassles. I got Lucky with Bona since she made the legal proceedings the last thing on my mind to worry about. She was always available to talk to or write to, had the right answers and Never misguided or misrepresented any information. I always felt being with the right advisor and a legal representative.

I consulted with Miss Doci for my divorce and frankly I wasn't sure whether I should hire her because she is young. You hear horror stories about the divorce process and the lawyers taking advantage of your situation. Dont let her young age fool you though. She is a very positive person and very professional. I was quite impressed. We consulted, I hired her, she kept me in the loop and was very understanding and respectful of my requirements. I couldn't have asked for a better person to represent me. She contacted me a few days before the divorce to let me know the procedure of the divorce in the courtroom and assure me that everything was going to be okay. Over a 2 year period I was represented by Catherine Byrne and found the experience to a good one when it came to representation. She was prompt, detailed and always well prepared in her presentation. What I found most enlightning was responsiveness in getting to know me as a father and not just a client. I think this helped a great deal in how she approached the representation.
She was able to make things happen, get us in and out of court and have all issues addressed. Catherine is well respected in family court and always treated the process with respect.

Catherine is a fantastic attorney! She is extremely knowledgeable in family law, well known and respected amongst her peers and is dedicated to winning. She's definitely worth the money!
Catherine took on my case knowing that it would be an uphill battle. She and her staff were great keeping me informed and always sent me emails AND hard copies of all motions and responses that she filed on my behalf. She is a dedicated attorney that spent a tremendous amount of time on my case. She is aggressive, determined and results oriented. Cases can get very costly, especially if your case goes to trial. However, I don't believe Catherine deliberately bills hours to inflate cost. On the contrary, in my case, Catherine fought hard to resolve my case however my ex-husband and his attorney keep prolonging our case by being uncooperative, unresponsive and unwilling to negotiate. My case did indeed go to trial. During my trial, Catherine came in fully prepared with facts, documents, and case law that backed up each argument. She was focused, prepared, and confident! As I sat in court, I remember thinking how glad I was that I had her on my side! As a result or her knowledge, hard work and dedication, we were victorious!
The bottom line is when you are going through the process of selecting an attorney, your really do get what you pay for! And, it's equally as important to note, that - as a client - you get what you give. Without question, it behooves clients to be COMPLETELY honest & forthright with Catherine and provided her with all the facts and the information she requests in a timely fashion. By providing her with the information she needed quickly, she was able to work efficiently and focus on the law and how it applied to my case.
I honestly can't say enough great things about Ms. Byrne. She has looked out for me and my family since day one and I hold her in the highest regard. She has a perfect mix of integrity & Hootzpa. In a world still greatly dominated by men, she definitely holds her own in a court room. I hired Bill after firing a top divorce attorney who is now a state rep.
He doesn't have a big law firm behind him, nor a fancy downtown Boston office, but he was a pit bull from day 1. He went the extra yard by hiring a software consultant to check my PC for viruses and spyware left by my ex. He dotted every i and crossed every t.
Even after our court appearance in front of one of the toughest divorce judges in Concord (MA) district court, he advised me the best when my own judgement was foggy. During the entire divorce process, I always felt he had my back. Even after the divorce was final and my ex came after me again, Bill was there for me. I can't imagine going through the process with anyone else.

Richard is a very experienced lawyer. He took his time explaining to me the process of the court as I was in the process of getting custody of my son. There is alot more than just filing papers he went above and beyond by answering calls of mine on his personal time and always being prepared for court. Never did I feel like he stole any time from me as it was getting deducted from the initial deposit given at the time of hire. Unfortunately he works for a different firm located in downtown chicago and it is a bit of a drive for me but he is highly recommended. He is now with Jeffrey M Leving law firm.
