Absolute criminals. They make it impossible to get ahold them and they will still take you to court if you make your payments. Do not pay them a penny. If you make a settlement agreement and pay it in full then will say you have not and still take you to court. I repeat do not pay them a penny. They have illegally double charged me, I fought it with my bank and they won. They are thieves.

I’ve left over 3 voicemails and at this point I will report them to the BBB & Attorney General. I’m unsure what else I can do at this point.

Cynthia has been a gem to work with. She's helped us through a number of issues both legally and in real estate and leasing. She's professional she understands her business and she knows what she's doing. I am so glad we found her to help us through our situation and we will be keeping our relationship with her as we move on to bigger and better things with our business. She is a joy to work with and I would highly recommend her if you need real estate advice or legal advice.

Matthew was not responsive throughout the process. He said it would be $1K to help me. 5 weeks after paying him I still had no information on next steps, he kept saying he would write a letter. After 5 weeks of no action I asked for my money back and he kept $250 due to a phone call we had. I would not recommend him.

Douglas Floyd is just about the very worst attorney that one can contact. I just called him to get his opinion on a personal injury case involving a senior citizen who suffered chemical burns from a leaking package that was mailed to her over Amazon.com. Douglas Floyd was extremely arrogant, discourteous, aloof, and inconsiderately dismissive. Without even hearing the extent of the incurred injuries and damages, after about 3 - 4 minutes into the conversation, he said that he will not take the case as he does not think that there is enough money in it for him...

Called to get a consultation and quote. Person who answered asked me to describe what happened so they could transfer my call. Once I got transferred again they asked again for me to describe the event. Then I was told I’d get a link to type up a statement about the event. When I got to the link there’s no option for my cases scenario so I have to call back just to figure out they don’t take my kind of cases. Terrible service, would not trust the attorney anymore than the clerks considering how bad the consultation process is

Good afternoon, I am wondering when my parole is going to happen? I am suing Oneida County, 2 counties, the NY AG and a person for breaching my civil rights. I have a Dr's app next week in New Hartford. I am tired of a certain few people, who are not invited to show up and do raise hell. One of the people, call someone, after the cops are called and the cops are sent away. It is also getting back to me that if someone comes to see me, a few of the people involved show up every time. The guy who came to see me leaves without ever having see me. Now it seems that my mail is no longer private. I received a box and a woman approached the sub mail carrier and wanted to know what was in the box and where it came from. Did I fall asleep and wake up in a 3 world country? Is this not the month where we are celebrating the fact people who were treated like they were less than everyone else are not anymore? Am I missing something? Oh and by the way, my meds that were either short one month and over the next. I did report these events. Weird that after changing the locks twice, it is still happening. 4th day of April 2024 and as I thought nothing appears to be being done. Last night, between 9:30 and 10 pm I was told that I should join my late husband. It was too dark but seemed to me to be a man. It reminds me of the first time that type of thing happened. It was the Nov before my husband passed. A guy was letting air out of my tires. This time whoever he was beating on my car. 22/April/2024 I went to the second place where I have a safe deposit box. Strange thing that my late partner's name that was not in thier sign in book, the last time I was there BUT it was this time. The second strange thing was it looked nothing like my partner's signature and his signature was study. No one at this second bank can explain how anyone could possibly know about what was in these safe deposit boxes because the contents were not typical . 3 David's name did not appear in both pages, just one... It must be being done by a magician or ghost... Perhaps? I should have asked Senator Griffo about the events that keep happening to me? Last night, I was again told that I should join my late partner. The content of my house keeps being rifled and I know that being common trash you folks have better things to do or my 3 stockers come by but one would think that you might show a little bit of interest...

I was sent a letter that said I was being sued, when I called their office all I was told was it was from ut medical center. They would not send me a copy of the bill or any documentation. I had never been billed by ut at all. They said I had 30 days to pay. they said ut would not give me a copy of the bill either because it had already been sent to them for collections. I do not understand any of this. If I had of known there was a bill I would have paid it. They should have to give us proof that there is really a bill.

I went to UT Medical once, almost 2 years ago. I talked with a doctor for 15 minutes. No procedures happened. The doctor didn’t do anything about the pain I was in. I went home and took my own advil. That was my ‘cure’. LIE number 1. I’m still in pain most of the time. I refuse to go back, be brushed off and owe thousands for it-AGAIN. Anyhow, UT billing said they accepted my insurance. LIE number 2. UT medical never sent me a bill or contacted me. Well, here I am almost 2 years later, being sued for over $3000. I called this attorney’s office in the 30 day window they so graciously give you. Obviously, I wanted to know why. I did not get any treatment/ procedures/ prescription/ect. Why is the bill so high? None of my questions were answered. They said they couldn’t tell me, because that is not their business, just collections. They only spoke of the amount I owe and how I should do payments to them with a high interest rate. LIE number 3. They received my receipt from the hospital. Seriously how is it not on there??? Oh yeah, the doctor didn’t do anything! This attorney and UT billing must be in it together. I’m tired of being lied to by “professionals”. After I pay this, I’m making plans to move out of this state.

Didn't do his research as to whom owed a debt and decided to get a judgement against me in 2010 while I was deployed to Iraq. Had he done his job, his firm would have figured out it was the wrong brother he got a judgement against. When I returned from overseas and found out I had a judgement against me and an income withholding order sent to my civilian employer, I called his office to inform them they had taken the wrong brother to court, their response was, " a judgement was issued and there was nothing they could do." I had to get the State Attorney General Office involved to fix this mess. Had these clowns done their job and researched whom they were suppose to be suing, they would have figured out they had the wrong person.

She took $2000 from my friend who hired her as her bankruptcy lawyer. That was over 2 years ago. She never filed in all that time. She is ignoring requests to have the money, at least a portion of it, refunded. She made excuses about the court being backed up due to COVID ... a year after the court opened back up. This is small town USA, the courts weren't that busy for the past 2.5 years. Her assistant is a MASTER at answering questions with "I don't know," or "I don't have that information." Never once did my friend receive any kind of answer to anything. How do you keep a bankruptcy filing fee when you never filed the paperwork with the court? How is this legal or ethical? A complaint will be filed with the Bar Association of Missouri. Anyone else who has been screwed by this woman should do the same. She does it because she knows she can get away with it. Quite Biased there are we not, one can only be approved for a review if we hired him??? This Lawyer claims to be a professional but then can't give a detailed bill for what he claims someone owes him. How is that fair or just? Why would someone be proud to be evicting their fellow man from their homes? Especially where children are usually concerned? When there are programs to keep people in their homes and HUD is not-was not established to make people homeless: And they give vouchers is someone is displaced. Eviction is for Public Housing and Commercial Property only! So, I do believe I would find something else to be proud of because he sees all.

This guy cannot even process a simple home closing without complications. While trying to send me some closing related documents via email, he failed to attach any documents to his outgoing email. This did not occur just once; it happened multiple times! In one instance, he actually attached someone's else documents by mistake! (Wonder if there might be one or more Bar Associations, not to mention the other two parties whose documents I got, that would love to know about that?) Not only did he have problems with the simplest things like attaching documents to an email, he also was very unprofessional in regards to processing documents on a timely basis. This lack of professionalism actually resulted in a full week delay in closing; costing my elderly, handicapped parents additional closing and other costs that they would not have had to pay if closing had occurred when it was originally scheduled. It's my suspicion that if you cannot properly and professionally handle a home closing, it’s just a reflection of your overall legal ability. All I know is that if you want a hassle-free closing, don't let anybody stick you with this guy! I would also be very leery about choosing him to represent me in regards to any legal matter!

My wife and I engaged Steve Huret for a property dispute. He was recommended by his father-in-law, an attorney that we had high respect for. We paid $975 for the initial consultation with Mr. Huret. We were charged even for time spent going through reams of paper concerning liability protection for Mr. Huret. At that initial visit, we had the distinct impression that Mr. Huret's focus was on the money and not on helping us. Mr. Huret then asked for another $1000 check for a retainer, and he agreed to hold the $1000 check until he heard from us. We then asked him to let us try to resolve the dispute without incurring more legal fees since it was getting expensive at this point. We were unsuccessful in resolving the property dispute on our own and so contacted “our attorney”, Steve Huret. Mr. Huret replied that he had taken on some other clients and was planning on doing some traveling. He said that since he had not deposited the thousand-dollar check that we wrote him, he felt under no obligation to represent us and declined to help us. So, sadly, after spending hours in his office and leaving $975 poorer, we were left to begin again the search for another attorney to help us. We felt "kicked to the curb" without even recommendations of another attorney. We received nothing of value for the time and money spent to Mr. Huret.

Do not use this attorney. Didn’t give feedback for what he charged us, I feel like we were completely taken advantage. He seemed very friendly but obviously a crook. Use someone that will fight harder for you and not just take your money like Mr. Huret

Very disappointing relationship. What was originally disclosed to me regarding the timeline and cost of my case doubled in a months time, without warning and without any solid work performed. When questioned, we got pushback and attitude.

Without going into the details of my situation while working with Eric Dankesreiter, I would rate him as below average. He relied too much on intimidation/threats and made statements that were not factually accurate while representing my position. It was a bit embarrassing and not very professional. I would not recommend him.

I ended up with JD as a result of my orginal lawyer leaving the firm he was partner with JD. That should have been a big red flag! I didn't have time or the money to search for another lawyer and figured since JD was at the same firm as my original lawyer, he would be just as prepared as good. BIG MISTAKE! JD sold me a fairytale during my consult with him and wheeled me in by stating he would review all my previous lawyers ,ie his former partner's notes, but did not! I noticed as the months went by that it go harder and harder to get in touch with his office and found out his paralegal had quit too! Another red flag! I couldn't get legal advise or a status update on my case. When I finally did get in touch with JD, he would brush it off and say they are short help and phone lines are messed up! How professional! I ended up having to hire another attorney and thankfully they were able to save my case at the last minute. My advise is, if an attorney's partner and paralegal leaves...RUN and save yourself the headache of being ignored and taken advanced of.

International "legal giant" Holland Knight has continuously refused to provide my legal files while abetting Alex "Sandy Hook" Jones's ongoing conspiracy with their former law partner Eric Taube whom they continued to advertise as a "trusted advisor" while having transcripts of Taube's inconsistent sworn statements/perjury in the hearing on my Motion to Disqualify in in U.S. Bankruptcy Court (Tex. W. D. Bank. 20-10118) when he appeared directly adverse to my interests (while concurrently representing me in ravis Co. TX Case No. D-1-GN-07-000618), which he directly countermanded when impeached in Travis Co. TX Case No. D-1-GN-18-001610, admitting that he did represent me. This fraud is not just bad for me, but it involves property that Taube conspiratorially formed in breaches of duty to me and to the entities he advised me to form, one of which he represented (without waiver or disclosure of conflict of interest (Free Speech Systems, LLC)) with Alex Jones, David Jones, and Carol Jones, whose tortious interference, fiduciary breaches, fraudulent transfers and fraud have been ongoing for over ten years. Holland Knight is based in the UK and its intentional bad acts of its and its Deputy Counsel's actual knowledge are contributory to alleged ongoing bankruptcy fraud in Tex. S. D. Bank. 22-33543. Contact me, FBI, DOJ, - Kelly Morales P/K/A Kelly Jones. I would not say these things about a massive international law firm if I could not prove it (very easily). Texas AG, Holland Knight has abetted the alleged falsification of government documents of its knowledge and fraud on the US Bankruptcy Court. Please contact me and please pursue all necessary temporary and permanent iinjunctive relieve to protect Texans from Holland Knight. The property that has been continuously defrauded of me and of the entities in which I hold interest has constituted hundreds of millions of dollars made without authority by copyright and trademark infringement, at best (and alleged copyright counterfeit, among other things.)

Anthony Gericke was a court appointed attorney for me after my arrest in the Winneshiek county. I was not represented properly by this attorney and I felt like I did most of the wormost l gathering evidence in my case against 3 officers that wrongfully arrested me. A dash camera in the cups vehicle was withheld from evidence even with it I had eyewitnesses of my arrest that stew never connected by my attorney for whatever reason despite being told numerous times and given context information. My case is still in the axial process all of the evidence that I have that was not admitted for whatever reason can only be added of my appeal fails. Overall I would not recommend this attorney even if he is court appointed, you can likely manage better on your own. He is so very difficult to contact and when you do end up meeting with him it is a complete waste of time.

I will act on your behalf, aggressively and competently, to get you the results needed for future success. (1. Properly or sufficiently qualified; capable) i had him as a court appointed attorney for allamakee county Iowa and he did not even come close to acting aggressively and competently on my behalf like he claims he will on his website. he said he would send me copies of every thing he received from the court for my case and keep me in the loop with what was going on with my case on a regular basis but never did, he was also very difficult to get a hold of. (for example several voice-mails and emails sent and i wouldn't hear any thing from him for several weeks after those were left.)

This guy was horrible. He failed to get protective order in timely fashion or meet with me and tried to convince me of splitting my son 50/50 after the father abandoned, stalked, harassed, and was mentally unstable. He then said he needed an extra $7k retainer on top of $2.5k he already received. I fired him the next day and he refused to give any of the 7k back nor did he provide a single invoice. This man is a THIEF and should not be allowed to practice law for his lack of ethics.

He didn't seem to really work on the details of my case until the very day of mediation. Prior to that, he forgot about our meetings that didnt involve his payment and wasn't prepared for them which left us discussing the exact same things we had already discussed; yet, he had no problem charging me for that meeting and thensome. During one meeting (in which I paid him more $) he yelled and threw papers at me when he got upset that I wouldn't just agree with his point of view of how I should just forget about getting things that the mediated contract noted should have occurred. Yes, I know that complaining about paper being thrown at me sounds silly because it was merely paper, but it should not have happened in the first place. I never felt like he was "on my side" and his advice during mediation was just to give into what the other side demanded since it'll cost more $ in the long run...but that didn't stop him from charging me more than $3,000 after that! Very unprofessional! It'll be a waste of YOUR time and money.

I used Cynthia for my divorce and custody case, she was a little less expensive than the other consultation with another attorney... I got what I paid for. She didn't return my calls, emails or texts for months and when she finally did she claimed she never got my messages. I used a friends phone once and she answered right away but that didn't work after she had the number. She sat on paperwork, and then worded the decree incorrectly causing me to pay more money than I had to as well as having the attorney general put my child support payments on hold because of the verbiage being wrong on my decree so they couldn't send it to have the money taken from my ex husbands check. When I reached out to her I had to wait over a month to reach her and then she sat on the paperwork again and finally got to court several months later. She sent me a text saying the judged signed and she would send me the decree and my Q-Dro and I never received it nor was I able to reach her again. She was horrible!

Top Questions to Ask a Lawyer

When meeting with a lawyer for the first time, it's important to ask the right questions to understand their expertise and determine if they're the right fit for your legal needs. Here are some top questions to consider:

  1. What experience do you have with cases similar to mine?

Understand the fee structure, including hourly rates, flat fees, retainer fees, and any additional expenses.
  3. What potential outcomes can I expect from my case?

  4. What is your approach to handling cases like mine?
Learn about their strategy, whether they prefer negotiation, mediation, or litigation.
  5. Who will be working on my case?
Find out if the lawyer will handle your case personally or delegate tasks to other attorneys or paralegals.
  6. How will you communicate with me throughout the process?
Establish expectations for updates, preferred communication methods, and response times.
  7. What is the likely timeline for resolving my case?
Get an estimate of how long the process may take from start to finish.

Discuss options like mediation, arbitration, or settlement to resolve the issue efficiently.

How to Check the Credibility of a Lawyer

Before hiring a lawyer, it's crucial to verify their credibility and ensure they're qualified to handle your case:

  1. Verify Their License:
Check with your state's bar association to confirm the lawyer is licensed and in good standing.
  2. Experience and Specialization:
Ensure the lawyer specializes in the area of law relevant to your case.
  3. Disciplinary Record:
Look up any history of disciplinary actions or complaints through the state bar association.
  4. Client Reviews and Testimonials:
Read reviews on legal directories like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, or Google to gauge client satisfaction.
  5. Professional Memberships:
Membership in professional organizations or specialty bar associations can indicate a commitment to their field.
  6. Awards and Recognitions:
Honors from reputable organizations reflect expertise and a positive reputation.
  7. Consultation Assessment:
Use the initial consultation to evaluate their communication skills, responsiveness, and willingness to address your concerns.
  8. Ask for References:
A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a lawyer, come prepared with:

  1. Relevant Documents:
Bring all documents related to your case, such as contracts, correspondence, legal notices, court papers, or evidence.
  2. Written Summary:
Prepare a concise written summary of your situation, including key dates, events, and involved parties.
  3. List of Questions:
Write down any questions you have about your case, the legal process, or the lawyer's experience.
  4. Financial Information:
If applicable, bring financial documents like pay stubs, tax returns, or bank statements.
  5. Contact Information:
Provide details of any witnesses or other parties relevant to your case.
  6. Personal Identification:
Bring a valid ID for verification purposes.
  7. Pen and Notebook:
Take notes during the consultation to remember important points.
  8. Budget Constraints:
Be ready to discuss your budget and any financial limitations.

How Much Does a Lawyer Cost?

The cost of hiring a lawyer varies widely based on several factors:

  • Fee Structures:
    • Hourly Rate:
Lawyers may charge anywhere from $150 to $500 or more per hour, depending on experience and location.
    • Flat Fee:
For routine legal services like drafting a will or handling an uncontested divorce, lawyers might offer a flat fee.
    • Retainer Fee:
An upfront payment against which the lawyer bills hourly fees.
    • Contingency Fee:
Common in personal injury cases; the lawyer receives a percentage (typically 25% to 40%) of any settlement or award.
    • Monthly Retainer:
For ongoing services, businesses might pay a monthly fee for a set number of hours or services.
  • Factors Affecting Cost:
    • Complexity of the Case:
More complex cases require more time and resources, increasing costs.
    • Lawyer's Experience:
Highly experienced lawyers may charge higher fees.
    • Geographic Location:
Legal fees can vary significantly by region or city.
    • Additional Expenses:
Court filing fees, expert witness fees, travel expenses, and administrative costs may be extra.
  • Estimating Total Costs:
Request a detailed fee agreement outlining all potential costs.
Discuss any additional expenses that may arise during the case.
  • Negotiating Fees:
Some lawyers may be willing to negotiate fees or offer payment plans, especially for clients with financial constraints.
  • Pro Bono Services:
For those who cannot afford legal services, some lawyers or legal aid organizations offer services at reduced rates or for free.
