Marissa Roldan took over my case mid-way and that was pending to be litigated in court in a very contentious lawsuit. She was able to bring the suit to arbitration and facilitate an out of court agreement, saving weeks and perhaps months of wrangling. Marissa helped me with the last (I hope) of a series of many family / parenting plan matters that Easley Law represented me on throughout the years.
Marissa quickly got up to speed on my case, the scope of the matter at hand, and the nuances and challenges with the opposing party.
Marissa provided solutions and counsel with creativity and realistic approaches with great competence. She managed opposing counsel with respect and collegiality, yet very adeptly and assertively on my case's behalf.
I also appreciate that Marissa was humble enough to research matters to ensure she had the latest and best information. My case included some uniqueness that required some extra research, and her assessment and subsequent strategy was right on, leaving opposing counsel's client without loopholes that were not in our child's best interest.
Marissa's was assertive yet tactful, and I feel that she effectively led the process along without excessive costs or time, despite backups and delays on the opposing side and large court backlogs.

We all make mistakes; some of us make illegal ones. being caught is horrifying. Your fate is left in someone else’s hands, and you have little control of what the consequences of your actions will be. It’s like having the lights turned off, it’s pitch black and you can’t find the light switch. Mr. Metos was my light switch. He was patient, non-judgmental, and the best in his field, which is exactly what you want when you find yourself in this type of situation. Fred was able to negotiate a minimal amount of time for my sentence; I received three months which could have been 15 years. Seven years after serving my sentence, Fred was able to have my record expunged. Life is good; I owe a great deal of my success and happiness after that dark period in my life to Fred.

While waiting to see if I would be charged on false allegations made by my daughter against me (together with her lesbian lover), I had a couple of other criminal attorneys representing me pre-filing who were taking a wait and see approach--not a good idea. My child welfare attorney told me to hire Greg. I did. Greg delivered. Big time!

I hired Mr. Ferbreche to handle my husbands criminal cases. I had spoken to a couple of other lawyers in my search for the right one for us and after the first consultation with Greg Ferbrache I knew he was the one. He was extremely knowledgeable in the law and after he had a couple of days with our case he knew the case well and started working to get us the very best outcome possible. In the end the case closed much better than we expected. While the case was going on he responded to our calls and text in a timely manner and answered our questions in simple terms so we could fully understand everything. You messed up but relief is nearby. You want an expert who will also listen to you, explain the situation and your options and put you in the best situation for a positive outcome. Martin is your guy. After you hire him when you are going through waves of freaking out you can come to Avvo and re-read the 100+ positive comments (I've read them all for comfort 8 times by now) and know you've done all you can to help your situation.
I put myself in a tough situation. I went out for a few drinks, nothing egregious but when I was leaving a parking lot I goosed it around a corner and squeeled my tires. I was pulled over and declined to talk the the officers about where I was that evening or participate in any sobriety tests. The prosecutors for DUI trials in Lake county are farmed out to a private firm and the state's firm sent their #1 top guy. Martin got us a Not Guilty on DUI and Reckless driving, and a modest fine and court supervision for squealing tires. Martin went head-to-head with the state's top dui prosecutor and left him noticeably pissed while we walked out with a huge W.
You'll be comforted by his understanding of Lake county courts and procedures. He will listen to you. We worked together to craft a defense and no point anything that I thought important was left unconsidered.
Even though my case hit a complication and dragged on a bit his flat rate fees were clear fair. Quite honestly they were about 75% of what I expected and was willing to pay for a proven winner.
He's super busy but will always make time for you. Most importantly, he's a genuinely good guy.
There's a reason for Martin's top rating. Do yourself a favor and pick the best. Get the free consult and make your own choice. It's hard to put a price in peace of mind. If you've read this, you've been informed. Unless you have another proven rockstar at your disposal to consider I strongly advise you to go with Martin.

Mr. Rettenmaier helped me during my hour of need regarding a Landlord Tenant Unlawful Detainer Action (Eviction). I am so glad I hired Robert Rettenmaier to defend me with my unlawful detainer. Robert, was able to prepare me for trial in case we needed to go forward. During a time that was very stressful, Robert sat me down and explained to me what was going to happen and what would likely happen. On the morning of my unlawful detainer trial, Robert calmed me down. Mr. Rettenmaier protected my rights and even future rights. Robert was very professional and knowledgeable. We eventually settled my case instead of going to trial. When Robert was negotiating a settlment, the other party's attorney tried to get me to sign a general waiver of rights. Robert would not let me do this. I am so glad he was there to protect my rights because now I am capable of suing for injuries that were sustained. Also, I don't have an eviction on my record because of Robert. I would definitely recommend Robert to defend your rights in an unlawful detainer eviction action.

Dagny was a pleasure to work with. My divorce wasn't overly complicated, however, my now ex wife was attempting to take the house I purchased for our family with inheritance money following the death of my mother. Dagny understood that my home carried a lot of sentimental value to me and understood the mission to separate my ex from it as much as possible. Thanks to my protective record keeping and Dagny's attention to the details, she was able secure the house for me and keep that buy out for my ex to less than half of what she wanted. I had to find an Attorney pretty quickly, as we were in a time crunch to respond. I had read the reviews for the Richard K. Isles firm and was introduced to my now Attorney, Cora J. Dorado. She has been nothing but wonderful! There have been several instances when I have needed answers quickly, like within 1-2 hours, due to the other party not cooperating, and Cora has always responded in a timely manner. Her Paralegal, Leigh Collins, has been amazing as well, very professional and personable! They really do put the Clients first and have made it more of a pleasurable experience because of the personal relationship they have established with me. Jessica was referred to me by a local non-profit that supports domestic violence survivors for her experience in that field. It can be very difficult to communicate your case or make really tough decisions that will impact your life during emotionally complex times, but Jessica was able to make the process something to be navigated, not feared. During the consultation, Jessica took time to assess what my personal goals were after the divorce. The compassion and respect she provided is not something I had experienced in prior attorney-client interactions. My personal goals were honored throughout the case.
Jessica developed strategic approaches to major decision paths and was transparent with possible outcomes of each. She didn't promise me an outcome, rather she helped identify the possible pros and cons of each move (both long and short term). It helped me to come to informed conclusions with how I wanted to proceed.
What is really unique about Jessica is that it's her client's wishes that matter, not what the court wants or what every other case is about. She doesn't fit you into a box; she allows you to see the box, observe the box and make decisions about how you want to exist in that box. The box representing the constraints of the current law. And that allows the handling of the case to feel customized because you are given a degree of control in how to proceed.
