Mr. Weissman presented himself as a litigator to me. He was very inexperienced, spent an inordinate amount of time researching and talking to contacts without reason or result. He's disorganized and distracted. He wasted time and money and charged for unnecessary research. He did not provide direction or guidance during an emotionally difficult time, to move my case forward. He consistently told me how the other side would argue and never told me his counter argument. I thought I had no chance of winning my case when it was suggested I switch attorneys. He then refused to send my case file to the new attorney which is unethical and calls for discipline. Don't waste your time or money.

I hired Mr. Williams back in 2019. He made it clear that he would let me know when I would incur fees that were larger than the original retainer. He never did He never did any work. I found that out from the opposing side. I have every email to prove correspondence of everything that transpired. When I confronted him in emil, he claimed that I did not want to pay for more services. He made sure to use up my 2400 retainer looking up laws that he should already know. i showed him the email from the creditor showing that he never contacted them. The creditor thought that I was lying about having an attorney. Unethical and arrogant.

We hired Noah as an attorney for a Major Music project in May of 2015. It was simple MFN contract that we needed to be signed by numerous artists for a compilation album. We are now in the process of signing a distribution deal with a record company and do not have one signed contract. Noah sent us numerous reports on his "progress" and when it was evident that he was either lying or postponing, we fired him. We went to pick up our file to find out that not only weren't there any signed contracts, he had responses from numerous lawyers with comments that he didn't even to follow up on. His communication skills with us as clients was less than acceptable and cost us close to a year of our preposed schedule.

I understand that she is using her mother's coat tail to establish her clients, but I was very disappointed that I could not get thru past the receptionist. I paid the consultation fee, only to find out what I already knew. Fees are extremely expensive. Comparing this to a really good pair of leather shoes. You know they are good, and will last a long time, but then you see the same pair with a label and you end up paying five times more. If you have the money upfront they will talk to you, but you might be stuck with a pair of over priced leather shoes that pinch more than just your pocket. I was ready to hire the team, but I could not talk to anybody without money. I wanted to pay another $1000, and even then I couldn't speak to anybody. I knew that I wasn't going to be guaranteed a win win case, but I needed answers to some of my painful needs. My desperate actions led me to a different attorney who did answer all my questions. I lost my $250.00 consulting fee.

I was hired to install a French drain, and re-grade the yard for Ann Lee warren at her home in Mitchell County NC. She witnessed the progress, and the testing of drain, she was well pleaded. When it came time to pay the bill she stiffed me for 3335.00 which is 34 hours labor and 505.00 in material cost. Be warned Ann Warren is a crook.

Rodney Minger was a court appointed attorney that was assigned to my brother's felony case. We repeatedly asked him if probation was an option and he indicated that it was not on multiple occasions. He is nice and personable and tells you what you want to hear, but does not follow through with what he indicates that he will do and will not work the case if it is a court appointed case. We finally hired an attorney who took the time to research and work the case and my brother was able to get probation after all. Mr. Minger lives in the Woodlands, but takes court appointed cases in rural counties in East Texas. He may be a decent attorney after all, but be cautious if he is court appointed to your case.

Henry Campbell is a very unprofessional lawyer. He doesn't care at all about his clients. I switched lawyers due to his lack of contacting me about anything! I always contacted him or didn't hear from him for days if I did call him and left messages. He didn't show up to my case and decided to deal with another persons case that day! That's when I finally decided to change my lawyer. And everything turned out great! I don't recommend Campbell to ANYONE!

Met with the attorney regarding a release of lien. He took over three weeks to do absolutely nothing. He claimed in the end that "he couldnt find to whom the affidavit should be addressed" and closed the file. And although I had given him all my contact information, he mailed an invoice to a customer's house. He's completely disengaged to handle any of our real estate needs!

This is the worst law attorney/ car accident attorney ever. After getting into a car accident almost two years ago. Nothing has been done , excuse after excuse. Never calls me back and the other attorney always comes up with excuse as to why this isn't over. I would call and Valencia and she would say oh your case is going to court, next few weeks they have gave my case to another law's office without me agreeing to letting another attorney taking my case. They knew after a few weeks of taking my case if this was going to be harder. I guess I can say Shaun Naidoo runs when things get hard , this was my first accident, and the experience with someone hitting me head on and the attorney running too as been frustrating. I will be talking to the bar Association because they gave my case to someone else without contacting me to even ask me if i wanted somone else. I've never even had a sit down with Shaun Naidoo. Run before he bells out on you.

This attorney is terrible he took on my case and clearly didn't have the time. His bill was beyond unreasonable. He is only concerned with making money. Would tell me one thing then change it. When I questioned his outrageous bill he filed to withdraw saying I spoke disparaging to him and threatened him. He has caused a lot of damage to my case.

Stuart didn't live up to his promises during our initial consultation and the day before a settlement hearing he told me the questions that were going to be asked then how I should respond. When I told him I didn't feel that way he said if I didn't do it he'd drop me as a client.

Does not keep in contact with his clients. When he does he doesn't remember them. Doesn't remember what he told. Doesn't keep notes. Not to mention he is extremely rude by interrupting his clients personal conversation because he assumed something. I would not let any judge appoint him as my attorney! Such a waste of time!

This law firm took ownership of Emerald Terrace Apartments on August 2023. My previous owner gave us a copy of the tenant estoppel letter where it states that our security deposit was transferred to Adam B. Kenner. Adam B. Kenner and his team kicked everyone out with a letter taped onto the doors labeled August 11 (but actually taped on August 16) stating that we needed to leave the premises by September 10, 2023. With such short notices I emailed and called to see if I can get an extension. They never responded or cared to respond to my or any other tenants questions and concerns. I paid nights at hotels and an extra fee for moving in early to another apartment, but I finally managed to move out of there. From September 2023 to now, I’ve emailed and called Adam B. Kenner several times to request my security deposit back. I took pictures of my apartment and have proof that I left it in great conditions. However, I have yet to receive my security deposit back. They always respond with “we’ll send it to you soon,” but never do. We are almost in August 2024! I do not think I would have to wait this long to receive my security deposit back. In addition to that I know of a couple who were the tenants to move in last and they also failed to receive their security deposit back. What a scam! I will update my comment when I do receive my security deposit; for now all I can say about my experience with Adam B. Kenner is that they lack communication, don’t seem to care about others, and like to pocket people’s money.

This man is a horrible lawyer, as far as I’m concerned he is a criminal, and a bully - he billed my family over $80,000 and didn’t fight to present crucial evidence when it came down to the wire.. He is a liar, a megalomaniac, a horrible person, and I would absolutely NOT recommend him unless your willing to waste tens of thousands of dollars to listen to him lecture and insult you while telling you crucial evidence is worthless. He abandoned me twice during hearings he promised to appear for, as he said he would not leave me out to dry - yet abandoned me day of the trials/hearings and I lost horribly due to his malpractice and misrepresentation of his skill set I went in on my own for trial and was ten times more effective than he was in all three years of his representation combined! I will gladly share more information with anyone considering hiring Wallace. Unlike him, I’m not scared to present it. He has threatened to sue me for defamation when he knows he’s failed me as an attorney - the only thing he did well was a deposition - which Yorker a ton of evidence he never presented. This man is a joke and a hot head - do not waste your money or energy depending on him to do the honest Abe ethical thing. Feel free to message me for further detail and evidence. I’m reporting him to the bar and trying to recover the money wasted on this man’s ego.

Paige Streeter was the worst attorney that I’ve ever had to deal with in family law and in trusts. How to Check the Credibility of a Lawyer

Before hiring a lawyer, it's crucial to verify their credibility and ensure they're qualified to handle your case:

  1. Verify Their License:
Check with your state's bar association to confirm the lawyer is licensed and in good standing.
  2. Experience and Specialization:
Ensure the lawyer specializes in the area of law relevant to your case.
  3. Disciplinary Record:
Look up any history of disciplinary actions or complaints through the state bar association.
  4. Client Reviews and Testimonials:
Read reviews on legal directories like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, or Google to gauge client satisfaction.
  5. Professional Memberships:
Membership in professional organizations or specialty bar associations can indicate a commitment to their field.
  6. Awards and Recognitions:
Honors from reputable organizations reflect expertise and a positive reputation.
  7. Consultation Assessment:
Use the initial consultation to evaluate their communication skills, responsiveness, and willingness to address your concerns.
  8. Ask for References:
A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a lawyer, come prepared with:

  1. Relevant Documents:
Bring all documents related to your case, such as contracts, correspondence, legal notices, court papers, or evidence.
  2. Written Summary:
Prepare a concise written summary of your situation, including key dates, events, and involved parties.
  3. List of Questions:
Write down any questions you have about your case, the legal process, or the lawyer's experience.
  4. Financial Information:
If applicable, bring financial documents like pay stubs, tax returns, or bank statements.
  5. Contact Information:
Provide details of any witnesses or other parties relevant to your case.
  6. Personal Identification:
Bring a valid ID for verification purposes.
  7. Pen and Notebook:
Take notes during the consultation to remember important points.
  8. Budget Constraints:
Be ready to discuss your budget and any financial limitations.

How Much Does a Lawyer Cost?

The cost of hiring a lawyer varies widely based on several factors:

  • Fee Structures:
    • Hourly Rate:
Lawyers may charge anywhere from $150 to $500 or more per hour, depending on experience and location.
    • Flat Fee:
For routine legal services like drafting a will or handling an uncontested divorce, lawyers might offer a flat fee.
    • Retainer Fee:
An upfront payment against which the lawyer bills hourly fees.
    • Contingency Fee:
Common in personal injury cases; the lawyer receives a percentage (typically 25% to 40%) of any settlement or award.
    • Monthly Retainer:
For ongoing services, businesses might pay a monthly fee for a set number of hours or services.
  • Factors Affecting Cost:
    • Complexity of the Case:
More complex cases require more time and resources, increasing costs.
    • Lawyer's Experience:
Highly experienced lawyers may charge higher fees.
    • Geographic Location:
Legal fees can vary significantly by region or city.
    • Additional Expenses:
Court filing fees, expert witness fees, travel expenses, and administrative costs may be extra.
  • Estimating Total Costs:
Request a detailed fee agreement outlining all potential costs.
Discuss any additional expenses that may arise during the case.
  • Negotiating Fees:
Some lawyers may be willing to negotiate fees or offer payment plans, especially for clients with financial constraints.
  • Pro Bono Services:
For those who cannot afford legal services, some lawyers or legal aid organizations offer services at reduced rates or for free.
