I have made every payment before the due date. I got on the portal today to pay and they have deactivated my account number so I can’t make a payment online or through the telephone payment option. I keep calling and they will not call me back. Last month they said I didn’t make a payment. When I told him I would send him the receipt and my bank statement of proof, he all the sudden saw in the system that I paid. At first I read the reviews and figured that people were just mad because they had to pay money back. I made my payments with confidence that I would have no issues. I was mistaken.

I was recommended to her but if you have never had an attorney, don't let her be your first. She is impossible to reach - like you will not get an email back (which she prefers over calls/texts). She is overly busy which makes her come off to clients as very cold. She talks to you like a child/dumb when answering questions at times as well.

Do not hire this person to represent you for stark county family court! He was always unprepared. He had his secretary retype anything I provided him as evidence. What would have taken me 15 minute to edit, he had her rewrite charging me extra hours of time for the effort. I brought up the subject of switching attorneys, but he said no one would take my case due to how far along into the divorce process as we were. He was a total con artist, promising me success and resulting in devastating failure. My ex got everything she wanted and more. I was awarded less visitation time with my children after the divorce was final than what I was receiving during the separation time before it was final. Financially, I was ruined. I'm embarrassed to say how much money I ended up paying this joker over the course of my case. Lastly, this guy made disparaging sexual references to me about various women who came up in our coversation. I politely changed the subject when he did. For example, he talked about the legs of a female professional involved in the case, and how he would totally bang her. This discussion was unprovoked by me. I never talked about such things.

Seth did a terrible job for me in family court. Honestly, I would have fared much better without an attorney. His incompetence cost me plenty, and not just the $10,000 I paid him. When it came time for court he refused to mount any defense at all. He missed one hearing altogether and showed up about ten minutes before trial and told me he wouldn't discuss his strategy. I see why. He didn't have one. He made no effort to defend me. He then came out and told me the judge had basically made up her mind and it wouldn't be worthwhile to go ahead with the trial. He seemed more interested glad-handing with the opposing attorney. I'm so sorry I trusted him. I can't be more emphatic. DO NOT HIRE THIS CLOWN

I hired this law firm for my husbend for him to be released for a detainer in 2011. I had called probably 10 lawyer's and they had all denied to take my husbend case. Finally I went down the list of attorneys that were closer to where he was and I called this law firm. I do a free consultation and they told me that he could get out and we'll just listening to them I said forget it and I hired them without taking in the fact of what everyone else said and 1 month later at my husbend court date. Boom he was out. I am sooo thankful I found this firm. Thank you Mr. Ray and Mrs. Patricia..

Did my paperwork incorrectly and attempted to charge me for the correction. He filed with the court an order appointing my son as his own father and changing his name to the wrong name. Then when I asked him to change it quoted me $2k. His secretary yelled at me for questioning that charge. Is that ethical or legal? Get it right with a better lawyer who can read and spell.

Unethical. He made an error on a court order. It states that my son is his own father. When I asked to help change it and even offered to pay the court filing, he requires his retainer. $2500. I wonder if this is a business. Make an error and funnel more money from people? Good idea in theory but save your money and find someone to do it correctly the first time.

As a follow-up to Mr. Steven Chait's (Reg # 33747) legal services. It was apparent Mr. Chait was not looking at the case filings. During my case, Mr. Kevin Even (Reg # 38599), the attorney representing the defendant uploaded a range of unredacted documents to PACER. For readers that are unfamiliar with the system, the purpose is below. (The Public Access to Court Electronic Records (PACER) service provides electronic public access to federal court records. PACER provides the public with instantaneous access to more than 1 billion documents filed at all federal courts). Note once the records are placed on PACER, the information is indexed on the web in addition to third party legal compiler websites. However, Mr. Chait failed to look at these sensitive filings. What is also extraordinary, I had to notify Mr. Chait about the incident after discovering these PII unredacted documents on the web, however it had been already months later and therefore the unredacted data dump by Mr. Kevin Even was not curable. The range of unredacted documents involving PII data that Mr. Kevin Even uploaded was personal identifying information including but not limited to social security numbers, date of births and addresses. Most importantly, the unredacted documents also contained a three-year-old PII data. Subsequently my family was forced to place security freezes on credit reports and alerts with other relevant institutions. Opinion: A word of caution to prospective clients. Do not engage the services, you will not receive effective legal representation.

During our case, Mr. Chait was asked to schedule the deposition for the defendant multiple times. We filed the case as a result of our former aircraft management company was not performing maintenance to the aircraft but collecting the money for the scheduled maintenance tasks. The defendant was rather deferring the inspections without notification to the lessee (Plaintiff). The management company deposition was essential to our case and Mr. Chait missed the deadline for the deposition. Even so, the defendant's counsel was less than 11 miles away from Mr. Chait's office. We feel this deposition was intentionally missed. What was the point of the case without the deposition of the management company contractually responsible for the maintenance of our aircraft.

I retained attorney Steve Chait as plaintiff’s counsel to represent myself and my company in an aviation lawsuit for breach of contract against Paradigm Jet Management and Jetaway Air Service. That representation was later expanded to represent my company in front of the Dept. of Transportation (DOT) in a civil enforcement action. His background seemed to make him an obvious choice for this case however he proved to be a complete disappointment. His services were terminated in the final stages of the lawsuit due to an overt act of placing the welfare of opposing counsel over the welfare of his clients and his violation of a Federal Rule of Civil Procedure causing the public filing of personal information that was required to be redacted from his pleadings. This error was done repeatedly and made worse by his failure to object or cure the very same conduct from both opposing attorneys. Other errors made by Chait during the course of his lawsuit representation involved his failure to timely review discovery material, his failure to retain copies of material provided during discovery before returning it to the opposition without good cause, failure to recognize his subject -matter knowledge limitations and retain experts necessary for the case, and his failure to accomplish a critical deposition before the close of the discovery period. His representation in front of the DOT was ineffective and negligible. An aviation expert was retained to provide the technical-legal memorandum that produced a much more favorable result with that federal agency. Chait’s representation was weak and negligent at best, or legal malpractice at worst. He was provided more than enough information to effectively and aggressively litigate this case. As a result of collateral actions, we engaged in to develop a defense charter certificate holder Paradigm Jet Management, and several pilot and mechanic employees are now involved in FAA enforcement actions pursuant to an investigation conducted by the Dept. of Transportation Office of the Inspector General made necessary due to the lack of FAA oversight of Paradigm Jet Management. That investigation substantiated our technical claims presented in the lawsuit. I would never utilize Chait in the future for any legal representation, especially if opposing counsel is attorney Dean Greenblatt. Chait will not engage in any effective representation against Greenblatt but will do everything possible not to challenge or embarrass Greenblatt and place his welfare over the client's.

Jennifer Schlatter at Allen Vellone Wolf et al represented me in a civil case. Leading up to trial, they recommended that I file additional charges on top of my original claim because, they said, the defendants responses in discovery proved their guilt, in writing, on these additional charges. The legal work to prepare multiple claims resulted in attorneys fees exceeding $80,000 just to get to mandated pretrial mediation. At mediation, Allen Vellone had no argument prepared to defend my case. My attorneys did not understand, and could not defend, my original complaint. They offered no argument at all to support the additional complaints that they had recommended. The defendant's attorneys destroyed Allen Vellone in all arguments. The mediator ruled that I had no case on ANY of my claims. To have any chance of winning if I proceeded to trial, I needed to hire new attorneys. Since I could not afford to start over with new attorneys, I was forced to drop my claims. All of them! But it gets worse: At mediation, Allen Vellone provided me with an estimate of my net legal costs through mediation. I requested this so that I would be prepared to negotiate a settlement, if necessary. When I dropped my case after mediation, Allen Vellone billed me TWICE AS MUCH for mediation as they had verbally quoted. When I disputed the inflated amount, Allen Vellone said that they did not remember giving me an estimate. They still charged me an extra $10,000 to add to my losses, and to pad their pockets. Allen Vellone's actions clearly show that they were not interested in giving me quality representation. All they cared about was running up their fees. First by adding claims that were subsequently thrown out. Secondly by jacking up their fees when my engagement with them was ending. Instead of paying $50,000 to win a potential settlement of $200,000... with Jennifer Schlatter I paid $80,000 to lose and and win NOTHING!

Retained Kenneth Royce Barrett after the initial consultation to ensure it was understood in that the rodent infestation I was dealing with inside apartment dwelling was clearly conveyed to property management; however, property management ignored the problem and failed to provide exterminating services despite monthly reminders for six months after infestation compounded exponentially. Served with eviction notice, sought an attorney and foolishly relied on the Peer Review provided to this attorney during selection process. Suddenly, Barrett increased retainer from $450/2 hours to $1,000/4 hours. After retainer was remitted, he immediately came back to me concerned in that level of case perceived difficulty had increased though no changes resulted to warrant any concerns for any increases in case perceived difficulties. This implied Barrett was forewarning of the potential need for additional funding. I decided to instead to negotiate an Exit Strategy with property management myself and did given I’d already relinquished $1.0K to Barrett for essentially no reason. Informed Barrett who then advised to not let property know of move out intentions in writing. Then he became unreachable. Three weeks later I requested my residual retainer be refunded on two different days before he responded with having had Covid and was behind on record keeping tasks but would resolve following week. This did NOT happen. Four months later I contact him again to learn he’s suffered another bout with Covid and remains behind on work tasks. He then tells me he advised me to remain in my previous apartment. Another lie. So I investigate to learn he has a reputation for being dishonest. Another month passes, seven months after initial retainer paid, request formal contact information for litigation purposes and receive nothing. As 100% Disabled American Veteran unable to work, trusting this person created a financial hardship I continue to struggle with present day given the unexpected relocation expenses and non-refunded retainer in part or in whole.

David F. Culleoka, TN 01 5/25/2022 Dan was Allegedly A friend of my wife's parents and did their last will. The job he was paid for he never did. He was supposed to be power of attorney and protect their interest after one of them passed away. My wife's mom was diagnosed with the onset of dementia and the passing of her husband has been difficult as well. I've never heard an attorney be as unprofessional as he was on the phone with my wife. It was so uncalled for. I see by a majority of his reviews he is less than; "less than a professional", "less than a gentleman", "less than reliable", "less than honest", and "less than a below average attorney". He calls the honest reviews calling him out for his substandard borderline theft for lack of adequate services "spam". I'd say that's close to what HE IS...in an attempt to deflect from himself. More accurate would be his ranking, "less than whale sperm"...sludge at the bottom of the ocean. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. As a matter of fact, you could probably wing it yourself and do better than him. I'm sure you could do without his unprofessional attitude.

Dan Alexander was the rudest man I have ever met. He would ask you a question then interrupt you in the middle of your sentence with an insult. One time, he asked my witness a question, and when the witness tried to respond, Dan interrupted him and told him "if you speak like that infront of the judge, the judge is going to think you're on drugs". This is before the witness even said he was willing to testify for me.(the witness actually did have a mental disorder) He asked ME for the witnesses information and I gave him the phone number of the witness and he got angry saying he doesn't want his phone number it's up to me to get his name, address, number, statement and all kinds of information on my own. Even though I felt that that is the lawyers job to do. The witness ended up changing the phone number and wouldn't speak to me or testify and Mr. Alexander said it was all my fault. He blamed me for everything. He even asked me if I could pass a drug test one time out of no where. It's like he thought I was a lawyer and we were partners. Just to give you insight, I was charged with assault because a man was on my property threatening me and telling me he was going to knock me out. I told him to leave with a shotgun in my hands, while standing on my front porch. I had witnesses, I never pointed it at him and he called the police first pretending to be the victim and they charged me. Should have been a open and shut case. The D.A. was going to drop the case if they could just talk to the witnesses (married couple) but since Dan never got their number and never stayed in contact with the witnesses they could not be reached. He blamed me of course even though I gave Dan the witnesses phone number. And Dan even spoke to the witnesses one time and failed to get all his information. I really regret hiring this guy as my lawyer. If I had more money at that time he would have been fired, but he is the cheapest in Nashville. Since I was 20 at the time, and naive, I wish I had a review like this to tell me how terrible the guy was. (so I would have just used a public defender.) I would never write a review like this to damage someone's career but I feel like trusting this man on my case was the biggest mistake of my life. I was charged with two felony's and when it was all said and done it was reduced to a misdemeanor. If I had a mentally stable lawyer on my case it surely would have been thrown out of court, because I did not break any law. So again if you want a drill sergeant like lawyer that will take your money and look down on you, well this might be the man for you. I remember he even did not show up to court one time. He would not tell me anything informative. The whole time this case was open I was always stressed, and worrying, and having a bad lawyer made it worse. I would get real nervous when we had a meeting since I knew it was going to go bad. After I left our meetings I was always more confused about what was going on then before I spoke to him. I hope he reads this. OK. I'm done now...You have been warned........

Attorney Cohen dropped the ball on us. He failed to return calls or even acknowledge the volume of paperwork that we sent to him. Only an urgent demand via email that we made office through his firm's legal assistant that he get in touch with us elicited a response from legal assistant, who informed us that Attorney Cohen had decided that we did not have a viable case. We disagree. We are upset because we learned this just six days until the deadline that we had to file a suit while his firm had our information for months. His father, Peter Caruso Sr., wrote my parents will. As a result, we paid him (he was NH certified- dad was not) to probate it when they passed away. Several months were needlessly lost due to inaction on Peter's part. Each month was costing us approx. $1000 in expenses to maintain the property. All the while, we were under the impression that he was handling the situation with the court. He was not. In fact, the form was filed incorrectly and late. When the probate court sent him an email to correct the situation he never responded. He later blamed his spam folder. We finally had to end the relationship and handle the process pro se. He returned $20 out of $1500, claiming that he had put 3hrs into the case at $395 per hour plus filing fees. Don't use this attorney, he doesn't seem to take his responsibilities seriously enough.

I hired VIncent Chieffo as my attorney for close to a year. He charged me over $100,000 and then informed me I didn't have a copyright infringement case against a publishing company where their author did word for word copying of my best selling book. He also strongly insisted I drop all claims against the publisher and insisted I sign an agreement to that regard. After hiring another lawyer, it turned out I not only had a case, but my new lawyer WON my case in US FEDERAL COURT against the author since I was prohibited to sue the publishing company because of Mr. Chieffo's poor legal counsel that I sign the agreement in their favor. Mr. Chieffo also let me know that he became good friends with the publishing company's attorney and they agreed to meet with one another socially whenever he was in NY, thereby confirming to me that he most likely had the oppositions legal interests over mine. I will also add that Mr. Cheffo spend a great deal of time talking about his personal life with me discussing his daughter's upcoming wedding, his wife, and his numerous trips to Morocco for which time I was charged that had nothing to do with me or my case. He also charged me for inviting me as a guest to a charity function honoring women journalists. My experience with Mr. Chieffo was extremely negative and i would never refer this attorney to anyone. It was my experience that he did not have my best interest at heart or represent me well and favored the opposition and charged and exorbitant fee only to tell me after he received six figures close a year later that I had no case which was unprofessional in my view and also telling me I had no case when I did and won my case in US Federal Court( but for a limited fee) His is poor legal advice resulted in my not being able to sue the publisher even though they, as well as the author were in the wrong. I would NEVER recommend this attorney to anyone.

Unprofessional conduct exhibited by Quinton J. Sheer, Esq., during our telephone conversation earlier, February 9, 2024. I found his behavior to be highly inappropriate and disrespectful.During our conversation, Quinton J. Sheer repeatedly hung up the phone call on three separate occasions. Each time he called back, he attempted to dismiss the issue by falsely claiming that the calls had dropped, using very sarcastic language. This behavior was not only unbecoming of a legal professional but also entirely unacceptable in any professional setting. I must express my disappointment and frustration with Quinton J. Sheer lack of professionalism and courtesy. As a client, I expect to be treated with respect and consideration, regardless of the circumstances. Quinton J. Sheer conduct fell far short of these expectations, and it reflects poorly on both him and the firm he represents.

He greatly abused the privileges and responsibility with which he was entrusted. He completely betrayed the trust that was placed in him, habitually abused the clock, filed all sorts of unnecessary and costly litigation and could not have been more despicable in the handling of his responsibilities. This is the sort of character Charles Dickens created as his villains in his sad but life-like tales of dealers. I pity this man but would strongly warn anyone who is considering hiring him for representation of any kind. You are sure to regret it and please don't pay any regard to his initial flattery and schmoozing. I guarantee that once he gains control of your affairs, it will not end well.
