I consulted this lawyer after dealing with wire fraud with my now former bank. Luckily we didn’t have to go to court and after several months it was resolved in my favor. I consulted Mr. Crandall on what to do in this situation as I felt helpless and followed his advice. He was very helpful and always was kind and polite

Eric Crandall is a great lawyer and great guy. I felt as though he really got to know our family as one of our family members was being falsly accused. Eric knew the law well, so well he was able to turn the tables to my brother in law's favor and get out of what would have been a very tough situation. Legal situations are never pleasant, but Eric was good to keep us always in the loop and was always available. I would recommend him to anyone.

Credit problems seem to hound us in one form or another throughout our adult lives. The solutions to those problems are not easily discerned--not even for many attorneys. In my case, I did all I could to try to understand what was happening to my credit. I gathered all my research and took the papers to a local attorney. The file laid on a shelf in the lawyer's office for a month--she did not know what to do with it. The case would be against one of the nation's top three credit reporting bureaus. By chance, my wife found a site on the internet that told of the work of Christopher Green, a successful consumer protection attorney in far-off Seattle, Washington. We gave Chris a call and before the conversation was over we already had a certain feeling of optimism. I sent Chris my packet of amateur research, and it was not long before he had shuffled the papers, identified those pages with substantive information, and mortared that information together with depositions, a wide range of personal experiences, his expertise in credit law, and with a diligence that did not falter before the case was completed. Chris Green argued the merits of my case professionally and successfully before the court--against renowned corporate lawyers--winning a grand-slam decision. Later he made sure that I was making the decisions as he negotiated a settlement that was beyond expectations.

A major corporation misused my personal and credit information causing an avalanche of serious problems. They refused to make the necessary corrections. After 2 1/2 years of insurmountable problems and frustration, I hired Christopher Green for legal counsel. He was patient and understanding while listening to my complaints. Chris answered each of my questions in detail. He was thorough while explaining the legal process ahead. During the law suit he kept me updated on the progress of the case. Chris has in-depth knowledge of the law. He is not intimidated by corporate attorneys. He excels in the negotiation process. I was extremely satisfied with the resolution of my case. I highly recommend Attorney Christopher Green!

Meeting Chris was a true blessing. As he took the time to get to know my businesses he asked great questions that I had not considered. Being as business owner, I was focused on growth, vision, sales, and marketing. The legal side of structuring the business was something I had not fully considered. With his guidance, I am taking steps to set up a formal business agreement, trademarking my names, and organizing the financial documents to ensure things are in line as the business continues to grow. He saved me from future headaches and shined light on a blind spot I didn't know I had. He is honest, fair, and thorough in his work. I would recommend him to anyone.

We hired Chris to help with some organizational changes. We wanted to make leasehold improvements for a future subtenant, receive a sublease agreement, form an LLC with another company, enter into a new operating agreement with the other company, redo our company employee handbook and create an Excel-based annual operating budget with performance measurement tools. I think Chris's background in accounting and finance, on top of his legal background, saved us time and money because we didn't have to hire a CPA to help us with some finance-related aspects in our agreements and plans. He did a great job of keeping us informed on hold ups, open items and when items would be completed and returned

As a business owner it is not typical to praise attorneys. John and his support staff were and are outstanding. Janet Glaze in particular communicated and followed up regularly to keep us up to date on a case that exceeded 6 years. Even though the process was tedious John and his team kept us grounded and informed and that is all you can ask of your legal team. I would highly recommend John, his team and the entire Beasley Law firm.

Hiring an attorney is an emotional, stressful and extremely difficult decision because you are counting on someone to help you through a difficult time in your life. I was lucky enough to find David Sufrin. He is an impressive negotiator, compassionate, quick witted and simply an amazing attorney. He is also extremely responsive and always accessible, ready to answer any questions or concerns. He was so patient with me and always put my mind to ease whenever I had concerns (which was often). I am forever grateful for his knowledge, responsiveness and compassion. I can say confidently, you will want him on your side!

David went above beyond looking out for the best interest of myself and my children. I would highly recommend him and his firm to anyone needing assistance during such a difficult time. Mr. Sufrin is an attorney who showed more integrity, honesty, and genuine concern towards his clients. He is highly responsive, extremely, well versed in what he does and simply put, knows his stuff. He is an outstanding professional who produces results and solves issues quickly and efficiently.

We had a perfect experience with Robert Bullock and Abigail Wolf from ELDC. Let me tell you how I got there. It started in the overcrowded sitting room of another local elder care law firm… I was the youngest person in the room by 30-40 years, and I was in the room for totally different reasons than everyone else. They were there to learn how to manage your retirement funds so that when it’s time for you to move into assisted living or a nursing home, you can get Medicaid to pay for your bed. I was there to figure out what I needed to know and do in order to ensure that if, God forbid, something should happen to my wife and me, our son with special needs (he has a profound physical disability with no cognitive impairment) would be properly taken care of (e.g. medical, nursing, caregiver support, college, spending money, etc). My ideal scenario was to wrap up all of our resources (financial accounts, retirement, possessions, life insurances) in a tidy way such that a legal “key” could immediately convey to whomever we designated as our son’s caregivers...with no interruptions whatsoever to his high level of medical support. I didn’t learn much about my particular situation from that session (though it was very informative if you want to figure out how to keep your retired husband from buying that pool he always wanted after you’re gone, or from spending your grandchildren’s inheritance with the new pool girl that came with the pool!), and I began to sense that I needed to find a specialist with personal experience in special needs. Enter Robert Bullock. Recommended by a friend of my son’s physical therapist, Robert has a lifetime of experience in legal matters related to all areas of special needs. Because of our son’s medical needs, my wife and I have trouble getting out of the house. Robert easily accommodated this need via a meeting over video teleconference. He also immediately understood our goals and motivation and began helping us understand the process we would need to walk through in order to make that vision a reality. He was very generous with his time and with dispensing timely insights that were helpful for a young couple still starting out on our journey with our son’s special needs. When Robert directed that our case be handled by his colleague Abigail Wolf, we wondered what it would be like to work with her. She did not disappoint! Efficient and comprehensive, Abigail struck a perfect balance between giving us the space we needed to work through the sometimes extensive paperwork we needed to fill out (something which can be tricky to find time to do, when you’re juggling a lot of home healthcare needs) and helping us stay on track with working towards our goal of getting it all squared away before the end of the year (mostly by checking in periodically to see if we needed any assistance). When all was said and done, we had completed wills, Advanced Medical Directorives, and Power of Attorney documents for both my wife and me, as well as a Family Trust for our family and a Special Needs Trust for our son. All of these are precisely configured to ensure that, if something happens to both of us, all our financial resources will be at the disposal of our son’s caregivers. When the time came to finalize the documents, Abigail took care of everything. We reviewed and signed everything in our own home, with the help of a courteous and efficient notary (also scheduled by Abigail). Overall, our experience with Robert Bullock, Abigail Wolf, and ELDC was like eating at a five-star restaurant, i.e. everything we hoped it would be and more. I heartily recommend ELDC to anyone needing legal services related to financial documents for elder or disability care---especially special needs families!

She is very knowledgeable but is able to explain things in an understandable fashion. She is tireless in her efforts to help others. She truly hears individualized concerns and addresses them. She is efficient but comprehensive. I highly recommend her services, regardless of if someone is just beginning their planning for the future, or needs to review what they have in place.

We literally got SCREWED and taken advantage of by a car dealership. Hawk and his firm reviewed my auto loan contract and paid attention to detail and recommended a course of action to take when we were out of hope. He always got back to us in a timely manner, and fought hard for our rights. He definitely under promised in the beginning, and over delivered on the results. I could not have asked for a better out come. We ended up settling w/ the dealership's attorneys earlier this year. Our headache and horrible experience w/ the dealership was definitely rectified, but would not have been possible without his help. I have recommended him to other people to have their contracts reviewed, so they do not get taken advantage of.

Additionally, he has exemplified the "human" touch to all communications and consistently provided the foundational rationale and understanding for the complexities of the legal process which, thereby, reduced my anxiety and stress regarding my lawsuit. James Allen Ward represented our family in securing a Critical Care Nursing center for my Uncle. They had taken him in as a medicare patient, but sign him up with a bunch of illegal paperwork and planned to evict him in preference for higher paying customers. Having Jim on our team averted that and the Power of Attorney documents really locked in our control over my uncle's circumstances. If he comes off as less than charming, that actually what you want: someone representing you who is not to be trifled with. His team has an inside track on California Law and the people who administer it. The result is total respect for me as a guardian and dignity for my Uncle.

Attorney Martin Putnam is your man if you get taken by a Used Car Salesman as I was. Mr. Putnam spoke to me in person over the phone, listened well to my situation, and asked some questions. After the Saleman refused to refund my money and take back a defective car which he misrepresented and, among other illegal things, posed safety hazzards (driver's door locks driver inside which prior attempts to fix were unsuccessful the Salesman admitted after I took the car and was locked in several times in a 3 days), Mr. Putnam made one phone call to the Car Lemon Salesman and got the issue settled instantaneously. I got my full refund and they took back their Lemon Car. My problem was resolved instantly because of Mr. Putnam's knowledge of the law and manner in dealing with law breakers who try to take unfair advantage of people like me. Mr. Putnam was incredibly kind and generous in his consideration of the terrible spot I was in and offered me a free consultation and one free phone call! Am I grateful!

No one wants to go through bankruptcy. It's a terrible time and I was feeling really badly about having to do it at all. But, from the first phone conversation, Julian put me at ease and I knew everything was going to be all right. I have mega-anxiety problems and he was so patient and good humored about it. He surely must have been frustrated with me at times, but he never let it show. He told me I was in his hands and I couldn't have hoped for better hands in which to be. From beginning to end, he kept me informed and went out of his way for me (literally - hundreds of miles). And his sense of humor was really refreshing. Not really something you expect from a lawyer. He knows his stuff and walked me (patiently) through everything that had do be done. Couldn't have asked for better counsel. He actually made the experience almost enjoyable.

Julian came to our rescue after our first attorney lost confidence in our case. After filling Julian in, he immediately expressed compassion for us and took on our case with nothing but complete optimism. After almost 3 years of threatening letters, legal fees, a miscarriage etc, Julian delivered results. He successfully negotiated settlement down to $1,500 all the way from $200,000 and he has lifted the most tremendous weight off of our shoulders. We sought counsel from 5 attorneys total, Julian was the only man prepared!

I am so grateful, that I wanted to thank Mr. Kemnitzer publicly and to alert others with a bad car deal to contact him, especially a teenager like me that desperately needed help. I went to purchase a vehicle at and ended up with a nightmare of a contract of about $55,000, which made up of being; overcharged for the vehicle, inflated negative equity on my leased vehicle, and adding an additional $8800 of worthless accessories and insurances. This all happened without the dealership checking my ability to pay for this huge amount. I am very thankful that Mr. Kemnitzer took my case on a contingency. He seemed to immediately grasp the situation and using his knowledge of the law, knew exactly what buttons to push to get the deal done. He showed compassion and at the same time guided me on how to purchase a car in the future from dealerships that use hard sells tactics. He quickly reached a settlement to unwind the deal by cancelling the contract. I walked away without owing the dealer anything. It was an incredible outcome for me. I would highly recommend Mr. Kemnitzer for his knowledge, expertise and negotiating skills that prevented me from having to file bankruptcy and having poor credit for many years to come.

Bryan Kemnitzer is a very bright attorney, with great skills as a negotiator as proven by the very desirable results he accomplished for us on two occasions one in 1993 and again in 2016. In each case he has shown extreme knowledge of the law, the ability to negotiate from a position of strength and to reach agreement quickly. There was no Avvo during my first experience in 1993. So since he just completed our second case with my wife's granddaughter, I wanted to take the opportunity to write about my experience on Yelp to emphasis the importance of having an asset such as Bryan on your side. I had a used 1990 Allante with about 32,000 miles. One day the entire brake system failed and had the vehicle towed to the dealer. I began to negotiate with General Motors to replace my car with a brand new one. We reached the point where GM staff could not go the distance to meet my demand. At this point I needed an attorney to close the deal and wrap it up. Bryan was that person. He carefully reviewed the frequency of visits to the Cadillac service center and determined on the spot that the Lemon Law was applicable in this case. He took the case on a contingency basis. He wrote a great letter following the law, detailing damages, loss of use, and penalties. This is where Bryan really shines because once GM received his letter, they responded by agreeing to provide me with a brand new 1993 Allante, at no cost to me. GM also paid the attorney fee. I would recommend to anyone that is confronted with a car deal that has gone sour to contact Bryan. Based on my first experience we turned to Bryan again for a case involving strong tactics used by dealer to sell a 19 year old an expensive vehicle that exceeded her ability to pay and then to make matters worse added worthless accessories to further increase the price. Bryan again displayed his prowess to negotiate and was successful in unwinding the deal. This was an incredible outcome for our granddaughter. It taught her a great lesson without the pain of having to go through bankruptcy and bad credit for many years. We are very grateful and would highly recommended Bryan Kemnitzer to anyone.

I am a gun owner and retired FFL Dealer aged 64. I was arrested by Local Police at 7pm in November while resting at home taking care of my elderly mother who suffers from dementia. I was charged with improper storage of a firearm despite the fact that I have a class A LTC. Several months later I was brought in by constables on numerous false allegations contained in a warrant sent to my old address. Frank Yee Jr.Esq approached me where I sat shackled hands and legs in the basement of the courthouse and said. "I see that you have Cerebral Palsy on your financial form. The Police are trying to screw you. I am going to put a stop to it right now". He did just that. I had two other lawyers who were unable to deal with my case. Things dragged on as a result for several years. I was financially and otherwise a wreck. I paid Frank with a credit card and he got all the charges dismissed. I recommend him highly.

I needed a lawyer who had an expert command of not just litigation strategies, but also contracts, bankruptcy, and business acquisitions. That's why I chose Mr. Xenos, and he did not disappoint. I have used many lawyers in my life, but none demonstrated a greater level of professionalism, sincerity, and efficiency than Mr. Xenos. Best of all, his representation ending up costing considerably less than the budget we had established at the outset of the representation. I would highly recommend to anyone in the Metro Detroit area.

Read reviews on legal directories like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, or Google to gauge client satisfaction.
  5. Professional Memberships:
Membership in professional organizations or specialty bar associations can indicate a commitment to their field.

How Much Does a Lawyer Cost?

The cost of hiring a lawyer varies widely based on several factors:

  • Fee Structures:
    • Hourly Rate:
Lawyers may charge anywhere from $150 to $500 or more per hour, depending on experience and location.
    • Flat Fee:
For routine legal services like drafting a will or handling an uncontested divorce, lawyers might offer a flat fee.
    • Retainer Fee:
An upfront payment against which the lawyer bills hourly fees.
    • Contingency Fee:
Common in personal injury cases; the lawyer receives a percentage (typically 25% to 40%) of any settlement or award.
    • Monthly Retainer:
For ongoing services, businesses might pay a monthly fee for a set number of hours or services.
  • Factors Affecting Cost:
    • Complexity of the Case:
More complex cases require more time and resources, increasing costs.

    • Geographic Location:
Legal fees can vary significantly by region or city.
    • Additional Expenses:
Court filing fees, expert witness fees, travel expenses, and administrative costs may be extra.
  • Estimating Total Costs:
Request a detailed fee agreement outlining all potential costs.
Discuss any additional expenses that may arise during the case.
  • Negotiating Fees:
Some lawyers may be willing to negotiate fees or offer payment plans, especially for clients with financial constraints.
