We hired Manuel Perez Leiva along with Mr Martin McCarthy for a fairly simple law suit in July of 2018 for fraud committed by my father to my mother right after they got divorced. A fraud of hiding a sale of marital goods.
Countless malpractice steps (purposely or due to a lack of legal knowledge and preparation either way disastrous outcome) were taken by Manuel until we had to fire him in 2019 and stay with the rest of attorneys which turned out to be also a big fiasco. We are seriously studying the case for malpractice against this corrupted and poor excuse for attorneys. We are presently paying thousands of dollars in liability for this guy's legal rep. Awful and totally untrusted behavior but specially Mr Manuel Perez Leiva should not be allowed to exercise any legal function, he is not suited at all. We believe there are several cases of unsutisfied clients but somehow just like all sleazy lawyers, he finds the way to erase any proof of his unacceptable behavior.
We don't think he is suited for legal practice in any way. Anyone who exposes to his legal rep will undoubtedly suffer his unhonorable doings and poor legal execution to say the least.
Do not hire this guy.

Contratamos a Manuel Pérez Leiva junto con el Sr. Martin McCarthy para una demanda bastante simple en julio de 2018 por fraude cometido por mi padre a mi madre justo después de que se divorciaron. Un fraude de encubrimiento de una venta de bienes matrimoniales.
Manuel tomó innumerables medidas de mala praxis (a propósito o por falta de preparación legal con resultados desastrosos) hasta que tuvimos que despedirlo en 2019 y quedarsnos con el resto de los abogados contratados, lo que resultó ser también un gran fiasco. Estamos estudiando seriamente el caso por mala praxis contra esta corrupta y pobre excusa de abogados. Actualmente estamos pagando miles de dólares en responsabilidad por la pobre representacion legal de este tipo. Comportamiento horrible y totalmente desconfiado, pero especialmente el Sr. Manuel Pérez Leiva no debería poder ejercer ninguna función legal, no es apto para nada. Service was terrible. I used the attorney because my employer had a "significant savings" built in. My assigned attorney missed all the deadlines and put it all back on m.... minutes before the court hearing. Nothing got filed, I had to start paying child support because nothing was contested by my lawyer, and of everything you would hire a lawyer for, nothing was done. Even took a couple emails to to confirm to have him resign off my case as my representative so I could start trying to redo everything that should have been done already

Unacceptable experience. See my feedback below to the firm after having an awful experience on what was a very simple request.
"The manner in which your firm has been communicating with me is bizarre and almost robotic...On top of that, there was no material explanation as to why such fees would be necessary. For your reference, I reached out to two of your competitors, all of which promptly responded to me via email with a normal conversation and discussion that involved a human back and forth with questions, and elaboration on my request. It was refreshing. Secondly, the potential fees of up to 4 hours for $550/hour for a reaffirmation were referred to as "ridiculous" not only by your competitors, but from other out-of-state counsel that I have worked with in the past. On top of that, some of which offered alternatives that require no fees whatsoever. In conclusion, the manner in which you conduct business and communicate is not only seemingly fee-driven instead of sincerely helping the needs of a potential client, but also not a fit for me."

So, I have a very challenging case. It spans two states and two different courts in Riverside County. Did I mention a very challenging Ex? Long story short, Valarie (probate area of practice) and Carolyn (family law) are amazing. They have fought tooth and nail for me. Let me be clear….this is not a “discount” law firm. The old adage, you get what you pay for. I needed competent hard working lawyers. Lawyers who knew the ins and out of each issue. That is what I got. Their guidance was/is worth every penny. These two women are amazing and I am so thankful for finding them. I can’t speak for anything outside of family law or probate, but I can tell you if you have an issue in these two areas, use them.

I had three different attorney's during my divorce and she was the worse by far. During a hearing she was actually asking me what questions she should ask the witness. Was totally unprepared. To add insult to injury tried to double charge for her time. Due to her I missed 3 months with my children despite a court order saying I should have them every other week. Was prepared to offer less time with my children than a court order that was already in place. Once I changed attorneys their first course of action was to fix the mess created by Amy by reinstating an order that was already in place. In my opinion I would stay away from her at all cost.

I worked with Joanne on a prenuptial agreement. This was my first time dealing with a lawyer so I had no idea what to expect. Joanne was extremely professional, responsive, and easy to work with. She explained the process to me very thoroughly and I truly feel like she had my best interests at heart. If it weren't for the the opposing counsel's side, the process would have wrapped up within a few weeks due to the quick speed at which Joanne is able to work. I retained Maxine Ho as my attorney for a period of time between 2019 and 2020. Due to early mistakes on my part, my divorce case had turned complex and was challenging for just about any attorney to turn around. I was fortunate to have Maxine consider representing me given the circumstance.
Maxine is a great attorney who is efficient, polite, honest and responds in a timely manner. She has the ability to apply aggression if and when necessary, and she also stands her ground if and when in disagreement with her client, with good intention and in good faith - in saying so, I can highly recommend her.
I have not come across decent attorneys even after an extensive search over a period of 4 years; however, I can say that Maxine is one of the few good ones.
Unfortunately, I was forced to part ways with Maxine - nothing to do with her service but due to my financial limitations alone. I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude for her legal advice, time, and efforts representing me.

People rely on lawyers and attorneys, usually, at points in their life that they'd rather not talk about. But, that's how it goes. Mr. Fuste was that attoney that for me at the point I needed him he went through every single step of the way with me when I had lost hope and thought I had lost my career in law enforcement. Mr. Fuste gave me the motivation and showed me that there was a light at the end of every dark tunnel. Mr. Fuste even checked on my well being do to the stress and traumatic experience I was passing. They had released me of my duties and told me I was no longer going to be receiving any payment. Mr. Fuste worked extremely diligently on my case and for the five months I had been released sitting at home he was able to still get me my payments. Mr. Fuste finalized and won the case after just 5 months. I returned back to work thanks to him I am where I am today and continue doing what I love most.

He made my case close by the court on August 31 2021 because he did not show up twice and did not serve the other part. He also said that nothing changed or he had to tell me after my case was dismissed thanks to him. After he did not show up the first time he had the courage to ask for more money .he will be reported to the state bar and sued . What a mistake was hire him, I lost my case and 2 years of time.Joe is incompetent, untrustworthy and lazy . He keep not answering messages and never reopened my case. I cannot imagine having been cared for better by any legal team. I chose Soheila in 2021 for her smarts, her near-30 years of experience as an attorney, and the depth and strength I observed in one who had weathered hardship through her many accomplishments. But it was her compassion that confirmed I'd made the best decision for myself and my child. She was skillful in her arguments and strategy before the judge. I felt so well taken care of. What other attorney would have Zoomed with me even in sickness to help prepare me for a court-appointed meeting? And I came to see how keen she'd been in her advice. I was deeply touched watching Soheila and her paralegal Lynda Walker fight for my son as if he were their own. They treated me with great humanity - day and night from what I experienced at my former attorney's. Lynda is a gem, on her toes, flexible, hard-working, committed to the client, humble, and sweet. She slaved over my case, doing much of the writing, watchful of me on paper and in person, guiding me gently while encouraging me to use my voice. In the end, Soheila and Lynda proved their colors in the thoughtful support they showed when The Other Side and I wanted to move to third-party mediation while my ex-to-be found himself distastefully pressured by his attorney to avoid mediation and keep litigating, a course that clearly by that point was not in our son's best interest. Divorce is not fun for anyone. It's particularly hard when people get unpleasant and can't cooperate with each other. This is why I love Terri's approach. She's very focused on an approach where conflict and nastiness are avoided in favor of collaboration and cooperation. I have felt like my needs were met as I have worked through this process - Terri has made herself available to me as I needed support or had questions. I've always walked away from our interactions with a clear understanding of what I needed to do to make sure I was taken care of while still maintaining that sense of collaboration. I'm grateful that I was referred to Terri and will continue to refer others to her.

Terri was recommend to me by a friend and she was very supported through the process of reviewing the premarital documents for my upcoming marriage. It was also in a short timeframe that we had to complete the documents. I am a retired women and she was able to explain the details and made me feel like I did come to the table with a stake in the relationship. Her staff is very friendly and helpful when you email or call into the office. I would recommend her for supportive and kind and very up front attorney.

Attorney Gottfried is very dedicated and always provides her clients representation to the fullest extent. She is very professional as her staff is as well. She is definitely someone you would want fighting for you, definitely someone you would want in your corner. My children were in an abusive environment and living with their father. I have been fighting in the courts for three years to get them back. I have had numerous Attorneys. Not one of them represented my position the way Attorney Gottfried did. Not one of them fought for the Justice that my children deserved the way Attorney Gottfried did. After Three years of fighting Attorney Gottfried got my children returned to me with having sole legal and physical custody. My children and I can finally have closure. I will be forever grateful for all the time, all the effort, and all the dedication that Attorney Gottfried gave to myself and my children.

Alona is phenomenal. She represented my husband, Damian, recently in a family Court case for my step children and I'm so thankful for the amazing work Alona did. She listened to the concerns and issues Damian presented, she did a wonderful job and assisted him with being awarded with more than he wanted. With Alona my husband finally got the justice he deserved. I can tell that Alona has a passion for justice and righteousness. I agree that mediation is always best but in this case it wasn't an option. I'm happy that my step children will be in a loving, peaceful home to enjoy their childhood. I was inadvertently given Alona, after coming to the agency for another attorney to help with a divorce in 2008. I was not happy about the change and was told she was competent. During the 4 months of litigation and more than $60k on legal fees, my husband at the time managed to throw all kinds of things her way for which she was unable to handle. He sold an airplanes, paid off big business accounts, and hid money for which he had no recompense. She was clearly in over her head. I was writing emails to tell her what to do. I was so overwhelmed without the advocacy that I actually went back to my husband and spend 3 years making a different plan. I then had leverage to get out without being cheated. I was so disappointed with Alona's ability to handle my husband and his lawyer. I would not recommend her for a divorce situation where the husband has tried to hide everything and throws nothing but paperwork at her to cause more and more expense without ever getting anywhere.

Ms Rowe helped me with a very tricky legal/ ethical situation wherein a non-profit group manipulated their by-laws in order to slander and sanction me and my professional reputation. Ms Rowe was so helpful in explaining and navigating the by-laws and standing rules of the organization... presenting them clearly to the non-profit Board and their attorney. To that end, the group reversed their charges against me once it was clearly pointed out the charges were fabricated with no merit and were obviously personally/ politically motivated. Carmen came highly recommended by a lawyer who does similiar practice, but recognized her as an industry expert with regards to dealing with Owner/HOA disputes.
I was impressed with how quickly she got up to speed on the situation and the ability to sort through the electronic paper trail so quickly and thouroughly.
