Due to an injury sustained, our family didn't know what to do or where to turn. Like others who deal with a sudden injury and life altering situations we initially hired someone out of haste. We quickly learned that it wasn't the best decision and at that point began to research and look for another attorney.
This is where Gerry entered our life. He listened to us on the phone and was very straight forward, yet very caring and understanding. At a later time he came to our home for a sit down and we knew instantly we would have him represent us. From that meeting we realized that he truly understood the injuries sustained and the real impact that the injuries would have. The prior attorney seemed to just be familiar with the name of the injury and knew it would bring in money....this journey was far deeper than a dollar bill. It completely rocked and changed our entire lives.

I hired Mr Michmerhuizen over 6 yrs ago for a car accident case. I had multiple issues and it wasn't an easy case. Steve and his team were extremely thorough and didn't rush to try and get quick money. He waited until I was at my best medically and then we went to finish up my case. I consigned a vintage car in an action. It sold. The auction house delayed paying me the hammer price. When I enquired about the delay they told me the buyer was disputing the provenance of the car.
At that point I hired Cheryl Ruggerio to negotiate on my behalf.
She was very thorough and quick to understand all the documentation I presented her with and was able to research and fill in all the gaps providing the auction house with indisputable evidence of the cars long history.
She presented the new found information and documentation to the auction house and negotiated a settlement to the agreement of all concerned parties.

Being part of a lawsuit is frustrating. It is emotionally and mentally draining. I am glad Wayne was my lawyer. He was with me throughout the last five years and coping with the situation at hand was much easier with him by my side. Hospitals should be held accountable for any negligence concerning the quality of patient care. Wayne felt the same way. He always knew the latest update concerning the case. I received a letter or email every six weeks. I called quite a bit too. If I had a question, he explained it until I understood the situation. He genuinely cared for me and my well-being. I reached out for help on avvo about a personal injury . Originally we were assisted by a law firm in Indianapolis but for some unfortunate reason they transferred our case to Lance Worland. We (my wife and I) signed a contract with Mr Worland. Well I must tell you that I and my wife were absolutely thrilled with this attorney. Not only was he polite and always willing to answer questions but he was astonishingly fast to get us restitution and payment for our injuries. I was referred to Lance after another Attorney had turned me down. Lance looked over my case and assured me that he could help and man-o-man did he. Not only was he able to secure a maximum settlement from the car owner's minimum state coverage but his diligent research found that the out of state driver of the car had additional insurance that he could access. It took me a bunch of phone calls and horrible consultations before finding Ms. Jones to handle my worker's compensation case. I live in a smaller town where almost all of the attorneys who will talk to me about a work comp claim will set up a meeting for a lawyer who is in Baltimore in their office. The local lawyers don't take these cases, except this firm. I think they are the only ones who actually handle the work comp cases without shopping it out to another lawyer in the city. Not only did I get local service they are good lawyers too who handle a lot of different stuff.
