My family and I live in New England and recently had a relative residing in Tennessee pass away with a small estate and no beneficiary, so we contacted the Tennessee Bar Association and they referred three Probate Lawyers. The second Attorney that we called and the one that we chose was Amanda Jelks. The consultation that we had was extremely informative and covered everything from our options, Tennessee Law, and legal fees. She, as well as her staff, were very professional and made the Small Estate Probate process seem effortless.
I don't normally review products or services, however, Amanda and her staff definitely deserve 5 stars and we would highly recommend this Attorney to anyone.

After reaching out to more than 4 attorneys to help with a complicated , 100 year old land deed which needed a cleared title, I was wholly discouraged. Each professional from whom I sought help barely listened to the facts of my story as they quickly surmised that the work required to clear this title would outweigh what they could charge to do it.
But then I found Mike! Mike returned my phone call with only a few moments before the close of the business day, on the eve of his birthday. Due to my previous experiences and the late hour, I expected to hear yet another rushed excuse for not taking up my case. But to my delight, Mike listened to the details of my heirloom property.
He asked questions, paused often in thought. He was actually contemplating solutions! In this initial conversation, he went straight to work at his computer all the whole asking deeper questions and contemplating possible roadblocks. He pulled up some details about the plot. He checked the assessors database and looked for local title companies who might provide us with other details needed before any real legal work could begin. And all of this effort within a few moments of chatting with me!
What a kind and sympathetic gentleman. Here was a man who was truly passionate about his profession. He seems to truly enjoy the work of untying legal knots simply for the challenge of it, the satisfaction of solving a puzzle just because it was intriguing. Where the other lawyers spoke first about payment and money, Mike spoke first about the specific legal processes required, and considerations that might make things tricky, like any good craftsman does when assessing a project.
I was delighted to find this rare gem who defies all the lawyer stereotypes of being cold and greedy. I am looking forward to his help resolving my legal matter.

We hired Irene for creating Estate Plan for our family. From first interaction with her paralegal to scheduling, everything was very professional. Best phone call I ever made. While speaking with Mr. Rothkoff for the first time, he asked "why are looking for legal help with managing your mother's estate?" As Power of Attorney for my mother, I was terrified I would make a mistake that would be to her financial detriment. I lived in one state, she was currently in another and was re-locating to a third. I had heard horror stories from people who just didn't know how to navigate elder care law. When I told him such, he replied: "We'd love to help you. When can you come in?" Tonya Gibbs Penn is the exception, not the rule. Not only did she have tremendous compassion with our case, but she also proved to be a brilliant attorney who demonstrates a true interest in her clients and their cases.
We live in Nashville and wanted someone to represent us who would really care about our case. Trust was an important factor because our case was in Virginia and we’re in Tennessee, about ten hours from court.
Ms. Penn not only made sure that we understood the specifics of our current case, but she also explained what we would need to expect going forward. She never ignored any communication or kept us guessing. She was forthright and highly responsive.
More importantly, no one else would’ve been so willing to peel back the layers of the case and ask the questions that she asked in order to get the best information to help us better prepare for the future.
As we look to 2021, we hope to return to Tonya Gibbs Penn for family law representation and know that if we have her on our side, we’ll be able to enter court with the assurance that she will be fighting for us the whole way.

My husband and I were introduced to Ryan through a class we were taking. It was obvious he knew what he was talking about when it came to estate planning. We liked that he had focused his carrier on estate planning and was an expert in this field. He shared his book with us before even hiring him. This contained a lot of good information that was easily understood.
What I enjoy most about working with Ryan is his personable attention. Every call or e-mail was responded to immediately. Even when I did not intend for him to respond until business days and hours, I was pleasantly surprised to hear from him. With every question I had, and I had many, he put on his teacher hat and was happy to take the time to explain and teach me until I understood so I could make an educated, informed decision.
We do not have a large estate, but what we do have we want protected and cared for. Ryan made us feel like we were as important as a client with a much larger estate. He was caring and understanding, treating us with respect and guiding us to make sure our small estate will be well taken care of.
Ryan did the footwork. He contacted the other professionals we use to make sure everything was in order. When there was an inconsistency or problem, he took care of it personally.
Ryan is real, not stuffy, friendly, articulate, knowledgeable, experienced, thorough, possessing good communication skills, and the consummate lawyer. It is a pleasure working with him and I would confidently recommend his services.

After splitting up with now my ex wife, I began looking for a "good" attorney. Naturally I searched the internet reading reviews etc. I decided by his great reviews that I wanted Liam Duffy to represent me. That was the absolute best decision of my life. I absolutely loved how Liam spoke to me man to man as though we were friends and having a conversation. He made me feel extremely comfortable, and always explained everything so it all made perfect sense. Liam pretty much put my ex's attorney to shame. It was quite awesome really, I would be lying if I said I wasn't grinning from ear to ear as Liam just shredded my ex's attorney. At one point my ex was trying to stop my daughter from coming with me on my appointed night, it was roughly 6 pm I made a phone call to Liam, he had my ex's attorney on the phone and literally within the hour my ex was dropping my daughter off at my home! Now how many attorneys will do that for ya at 6-7 pm in the evening? Liam got me full physical custody of my daughter and I didn't think it would be possible. I could go on and on about the things Liam did for me, I am so pleased. If you are looking for a top notch attorney that will not nickel and dime you, that is very fair on everything and will work with you every step of the way, then Liam Duffy is the attorney you want to represent you. I hired Mr. Cohen to get the job done and he did just that. The only downfall was the time it took to complete my divorce. To no faults of Scott of course. The courts are so backed up it took a while. The positive part was being able to contact Scott and he almost was always available to speak with me. He kept me in the loop with everything that was going on in my case and that was one of the most important things to me. I do recommend Scott if communication is a big deal because he does make it a point to stay in contact and include his client.

I have nothing but good things to say about Mr. Tanaka. My wife and I have never been sued before so this was definitely a new experience. Omg I don’t know where to start with this man.

I lost my wife and I am fairly young man and I did not know the importance of have an estate lawyer. It’s not a joke how they system can just make it impossible for you. I am truly thankful of Bob with his team of helping me and saving me hundreds of thousand of dollars of which I could have never paid of.
But because of his hard work and detail focused, good planning, and your love for people to do well in whatever walk of life they have. You made it happen for me and saved something for my kids to leave a good life and get opportunity to go college with very minimum debit. More could be said but no need.

Robert Gerhard is an exceptional Elder Law attorney who I hired to make sense of a tangled legal situation involving the estate of a deceased family member. Without a formal will and interconnected paperwork, Bob was able to work through Pennsylvania's laws & regulations to establish an executor, file taxes, close out the estate and bring all fiduciary questions to a close. Marci went beyond my expectation. She worked diligently (despite the COVID slow down in the courts) and with great compassion, in getting a resolution in my conservatorship of two children. Her hard work in getting the necessary paperwork, including serving the absentee parents, who proved difficult to locate, living separately in two states. Her personal concern for the welfare of the children and obtaining a stable environment for the them to grow up in was wonderful. I hired Mark , for a divorce it was a costly horrible divorce that because of reconciliation off and on it lasted approximately 6 1/2 yrs .
I payed Mark thousands of dollars over that period of time - divorce can be costly and if you want prime rib and all the fixens then you gotta pay for it .

Mark will tell you … “Shut Up and listen !” When its needed … he will call you ask how you are when you have surg and ask if you need anything?and mean it - He will listen when your discouraged at the same time keep your skin thick because divorce isn’t for the weak .
Yes … I had very heated discussion with him when I didn’t agree - all but once that I remember he was right and I was not quite right . That’s what I was paying him for !
I didn’t need a lot of bedside manner - I wanted to open and maintain a can of Whoop A.. and he did but smooth flowing just enough and he cooled my jets when needed ( often ) .
If I called .. he answered , if I needed to ask a question he answered it - sometimes he told me … “let me work …this is costing you $” ( when I was over managing ) he’d tell me “I got this . “
I used mark to pound the beach with the heavy artillery soft up the enemy and I mean nobody gonna mess with you in or out court house if he’s your atty … seriously !
It’s been yrs now since …. I got the divorce :)
I was going through my phone and saw his number .. texted him and just as when I was paying him thousands $ he answered my text and he’s there if I need .. I’m telling you I’m sold - I’d hire him again - I like him as a person and I like when it comes to him as my atty I could look away and he’s got it . He’s better as a leader / teammate than your opposing counsel so hire him and listen , he’s got it ! just let him work !!!!!
