In August 2013 I attended an elder care luncheon presentation from one of Long Island's big estate planning firms. I had concerns that maybe the simple will my husband and I had was not enough. I called our general practice lawyer and he referred us to Ms. Cipriani in order to review our will and determine if we were in need of additional protections.
We found Ms. Cipriani to be very knowledgeable and informative. She is an easy to work with professional. Ms. Cipriani is a pleasant and straight forward counselor. No question is "too stupid to ask." Time at each meeting allowed for our questions to be answered. The time frame between the initial consultation and review of our plan allowed us to digest all the information and gather the additional items she requested.
Upon review of all our individual assets, which included a vacation home in another state; separate banking, retirement and investments accounts for each of us and; multiple desired beneficiaries in addition to our one child, Ms. Cipriani advised us as to what changes we should make as well as how to make them. She developed a comprehensive estate plan and thoroughly reviewed it with us before execution.
Ms. Cipriani is available for follow-up questions and clarification.

Tom has helped my parents and myself with estate planning. He was amazing helping my parents, patiently answering all their questions and making them feel at ease.
He did the same for myself and all aspects were addressed and handled with much attention to detail.
Then recently I decided to sell my house and I didn't consider hiring anyone other than Tom.
He was incredible at guiding me through every step of the process. I cannot express enough how thorough, knowledgeable and helpful Tom is in handling these matters.
He was there every step of the way and closing was a breeze thanks to his diligence.

We found Thomas McGovern through very good friends while looking for a real estate attorney for a co-op we were putting an offer on in Queens. We called a few other recommendations from other people but automatically felt comfortable with choosing Tom due to his experience with co-ops and more importantly, his friendly and efficient demeanor. He guided us through more than just the law side of the process. We were actually rejected from the co-op board without an interview. All the work that Tom had done for months was down the co-op tubes… he did not, for one second, make us feel like his time was wasted! He was disappointed for us and encouraged us back on our search. There were a few more offers made (and accepted) and contracts reviewed. We weren't in love with anything until we finally found our house on Long Island!! Tom was so patient as we went through a few places before actually going through with the purchase process again. The house we ended up buying had an offer or two ahead of ours that fell through due to missing paperwork on the seller’s side fore it being an estate. Tom reassured us that he had dealt with many estate scenarios and this missing paperwork was not a challenge for him or us. Something that was too complicated for the lawyers of offers ahead of ours—was no problem at all for Tom!! Throughout the process of finally buying our house, Tom guided, advised, revised, and reassured our side every step of the way. He certainly dotted every “i” and crossed every “t” to ensure the smooth transfer of title. Our closing was scheduled as soon as could be and ran without any hiccups at all—all honestly thanks to Tom. We invited him back to the house once it was officially ours to celebrate. It didn’t end there… Tom also recommended a great contractor when our previous had abandoned us the day before closing. He also periodically checked in on us along the way to see how the house was coming along and just to see how we were doing. Tom did what others couldn't and what others wouldn’t. I highly, highly, highly recommend Thomas McGovern as an Attorney!! As a real estate agent myself—I am constantly recommending him to all of my real estate network.

It's not everyday that I take the time to post a review let alone one with a five star rating. For Eric though I have to. About two years ago I came to him with a sensitive legal issue. Since then Eric has handled everything you need a lawyer for....You name it he did it. Estate transfer to close my husbands Moms house, the house closing, title searches etc. All along the way Eric was informative about every step and then some. I learned quite a lot. Peter is a fantastic attorney and an even better person. He is thoughtful, diligent and hardworking.
He helped us fight a greedy builder by working through our town’s planning and zoning boards to stop a monstrosity being built next to our primary residence. And he did so with a tact and grace that he was then able to then help us buy that same property at a significant percentage discount over asking price.
Unlike me, he didn’t get angry or take it personal in fighting a multi-year battle against the developer, who routinely lied to our town. He brought in zoning experts, an engineer and an architect to sway the town’s Zoning department and see fit that the developers project fail with multiple variance violations - he did so with an assertive grace that blew my wife and I away! Trust me; I’m cheap but I even told Peter he didn’t charge us enough for his great work.
I’m now happy to call Peter a friend and genuinely can’t say good enough things about him. When we needed someone to have our back, Peter came through in a big way for our family, and for the historical integrity of our little community.

Michael is an expert litigator and did an outstanding job with my divorce and child custody case, to the point that even my ex emailed him stating she wished she had hired him instead. My ex and I are both considered high income earners under the Family Law system. He’s very knowledgeable about Family Law (including handling stocks, 401k, real estate investment, etc.) and has a professional rapport with everyone in the Bucks County family court system and other professionals in Family Law. He handled my case in a straightforward and realistic manner and brought an even-keeled approach to our contentious proceedings. He handled all my issues and court appearance himself but he's also surrounded by a group of extremely professional and caring office staff. Mr. Wendell Belknap has been handling legal documents such as Last Will and Testament for my wife and me for many years. When my wife passed away last year, I asked Wendell for help with settling an IRA account that my wife had forgotten to link to a beneficiary. He was immediately helpful, explaining the various options available. After we selected probate as most appropriate, he carefully explained all aspects of the process, guiding me through how to get the personal representative class, summarizing assets, and formal notification (listing in local papers) for creditors, which he took care of. He referred me to another attorney who specialized in estates to help with determining the value of the estate. Additionally, Wendell personally handled communications with the IRA administrators regarding the probated estate so that appropriate paperwork would be completed.
Wendell was always available for my questions and was clearly concerned that the process should be as easy and painless as possible. While probate can take a long time, and this one did, I was never concerned with the process knowing that Wendell was watching it every step of the way. I would highly recommend Wendell as your first contact lawyer.

Before we met Richard, we had nothing in order -- a very very outdated will (somewhere) that didn't reflect a single aspect of our current life, kids, home, investment property, business etc. After meeting Richard, we have peace of mind! We have a living trust, will, designated guardian for our daughter, person to make medical decisions if we can't, signed docs giving us power to make medical decisions for each other, on and on. We have an enormous binder with all these documents including extremely detailed and helpful information for our next of kin and executor, should something happen to us. Richard and his team make this very straight forward and easy. They kept stressing that we can call any time with questions (no charge) and in 3 years we'll sit for a review of it all (free). This was painless.

Denny completely destroys the stereotype of the sleazy lawyer. Kind, patient, and oh so honest, he is outstanding in every way possible. We saw him for our estate trust. He told us right up front the cost, and how we would proceed. And then we did. No “hidden charges”, nothing he forgot to tell us, everything has gone exactly as he described. We have been so impressed with Denny, that we have recommended him to several of my friends, and they all praise him much as I have done in this review. The only problem with Denny is that he is not my next door neighbor! If he can’t be your neighbor either, at least be sure he is your attorney. You will never regret it.

I called Attorney Fraser as the first step toward hiring an attorney for a legal need. He asked questions, considered my need and rendered an honest opinion that he is not the attorney that I need. Fair enough. But, then he went on to share twenty minutes of his. valuable time to help me sort through the issue, recommend other attorneys and professionals who could serve me and to help me with other pertinent considerations. His negotiation skills and strategic thinking not only helped reunite me with my kids, but also saved me from having to go through an expensive court battle during COVID times. Karen is wonderful to work with. She clearly explains the process and laws of estate planning in Oregon, especially since it is unfamiliar territory for us. She is thorough and offers council when we needed specific guidance, but never directly told us what decision we should make, especially in regards to end of life care and decisions. We hired her specifically for estate planning, writing our wills, and establishing trusts. It can be a very daunting task, since we have never had to face the reality of planning for the future after our deaths, but Karen's process is very smooth and reassuring. In dealing with a time crunched surprise from the ex wife stating I would not get my kids for my visitation with absolutely no legal grounds. I was limited on time and living out of state I needed to get home. Not only did Miss Gordon go above and beyond she successfully got me my children only 2 days late. So within 4 days of consulting with her and her guiding me and my ex wife's lawyer on legality I now get to spend my summer visitation in our new home in Alabama. Howard is an excellent and incredibly effective attorney. I first met him when he was the company attorney for the IT company I was working for in the early 2000's. We knew we definitely needed to update our wills and powers of attorney, so we sought out recommendations from various professionals. The first one we checked out gave us a quote that really took us by surprise. It wasn't that we were looking for a "cheap" deal, but this quote was out of our league. So we considered Legal Zoom. Then we learned that this would not be the best option as our state (Texas) can run you into problems when it comes time to put your documents into force. Finally, we learned about Rania Combs, and she provided all we needed and more at a third of the price of the original quote. In addition, I will add this was the third will we've done after 41 years of marriage, and I can say without any reservations that we've never had anywhere close to the attention and information Rania provided.
