Ms. Tomac is an excellent attorney in the legal areas related to estates and trusts. She is very knowledgeable and provides no nonsense guidance and explanations. Ms. Tomac has guided me through the executorship of my mom's estate, a very difficult position emotionally. Recently used New Hope Divorce Mediation, in particular Mindey Elgart, to handle my no contest divorce. It was a very pleasant process, given the situation, and went smoothly from the beginning to the end. After the initial meeting where we discussed all the details, we met one more time to finalize the settlement agreement. After that there was a 90 day waiting period. During all that time, Mindey and her office was very diligent at sending us all the paperwork and explaining everything step by step, when and how to properly sign and mail all the documents to the court. After the 90 day waiting period, it just took another 2 months to receive the divorce decree from the judge. I would highly recommend Mindey and New Hope Divorce Mediation to others to handle their divorce case.

I hired Lenore about 18 months ago after firing 3 other attorneys....the last of which nearly bankrupted me when he failed to file
an appeal of an outrageous child support award.
There are many attributes of Lenore that are really rare in divorce attorneys:
* non-confrontational
* high attention-to-detail
* outgoing and friendly
* reasonably rate given her high quality of service
She handled my case with high level of professionalism.
Lenore represented me at both a master's level and then a judge's level for equitable distribution.
In both cases, she was well prepared and very convincing in these hearings...especially the latter where there were nearly 10,000 pages of documentation.
She arrived at the court house with a luggage carrier holding nearly 4 FEET of documents !
Her performance was exemplary thanks to careful preparation.
When the hearing was over, we walked out of the courthouse and she gave me a big hug as we said goodbye !

Irwin Klein is truly a god send. I had a complex case that put me under a tremendous amount of pressure. Not only was he resourceful, understanding and patient, he was also thorough. Mr. Klein was recommended to me by a very good friend of mine. Unfortunately, it was after I had retained a lawyer for the purchase of my home. The previous lawyer (J. Bradford Kenealy) had not taken the time to thoroughly and competently review my contract. After I took the time to review the contract, I decided that I needed someone else to represent me. That is when, after sitting with Mr. Klein for over an hour, I retained Mr. Klein. I felt completely confident that if I were to be absent at closing that he could sign for me and I would be able to sleep at night knowing that all bases were covered.
My title for this review was based on his ability to rectify all that was wrong with my contract after it being fully executed by both parties. Mr. Klein spent days emailing and calling the sellers' attorney's office. all on the premise of having a forum at which to renegotiate the contract since there was an unfavorable appraisal. Where some may have given up and sent back the amended contract, he was very persistent in seeing it through despite the sellers' attorney's lack of communication skills. It was then that Mr. Klein was able to eradicate all my fears about moving forward. Which would have been extremely frustrating to be left in limbo just before you are about to leave the country for 2 weeks.
Even though I could go on with details of the transaction and paint a more favorable light for Mr. Klein, the best detail to leave behind is that I will never look for another counsel in matters which are legal.

Our closing should have been a quick and easy process but we were dealing with a Corporate Relocation Company and the entire process became a nightmare of forms and tasks to be completed. I honestly don’t even know where to begin, Seth Lasater has been our attorney for going on 2 years and I will highly recommend him to anyone. We have had several different cases ranging from child custody to criminal where Seth has represented us, and I will have to say I do not have ONE single regret nor complaint about him. During all of our cases he has done all he can to make sure all bases are covered and takes the time to do any research that is needed. He is very knowledgeable about everyone of our cases and gives his legal opinion and recommendations on the best route to take on the case but will leave that final decision up to you if need be so that way you don’t feel pressured into having to go his route if you don’t feel confident in his decision and will take your opinions in consideration on anything you ask or think of but he gives you his insights and what the outcomes could be on each. I highly recommend Seth to anyone. When I say he does his research laws change all the time and not every case is the same they can be in the same category however be different incidents so yes research is needed to be 100% confident and successful and that would be for any attorney. However Seth makes sure you fully understand the circumstances and the possible outcomes of everything so you aren’t shocked if it doesn’t go as planned. You always hope for the best but it’s not always what you want and again that’s with any attorney, none of them can 100% guarantee you what the judges decision will

With that being said you know he is and has to be an amazing attorney for someone to keep the same one for so long if one is needed that long, that should be an eye opener there that we honestly can’t complain and honestly wouldn’t choose any other attorney. Seth will do everything in his legal power to make sure you get the desired outcome and will go completely at bat for you and defend you in every way possible and will listen and take in your thoughts and concerns regarding your case and give you any and all advice he can. Also with all this positivity and confidence in him being said isn’t because his fees are cheap of why I am writing this review because one his fees are pretty much average fees for an attorney there isn’t a shock to his fees due to his fees are straight across the board as pretty much any other attorney you will find and two I’m not being positive because he wanted me to be, this is all the 100% truth and coming from the heart. He is an amazing attorney and I promise you and I can guarantee you he will defend you 100% and do everything he has to do to make sure there isn’t any confusion along the way. He is very compassionate and easy to get in touch with and if he is out of the office he will get back with you in a timely manner. Lastly not to get too personal but it is public Seth lost his father a few weeks before one of our court dates and he still kept up with our court date and went at bat for us at court knowing what stress he had on him of losing a parent he still was very considerate of our case and we did get what we expected which is always a plus. So again I did this review because Seth deserves it and there isn’t enough words or reviews that I could say or leave that would amount to all the hard work and knowledge and help this man/attorney has done for our cases/family. I promise you will not be disappointed and regretful of choosing Seth Lasater as an attorney for divorce, child custody, criminal, family matters and etc. He does practice in a few more different types of cases but that is what we have had him for thus far. Hopefully not anymore cases but life happens. Again you will absolutely love him. Mr. Harris is very personable, approachable and has a good relationship with the courts. This is a plus if you are dealing with sensible soon to be ex’es who want to move on and act like adults. But he is also a staunch, steadfast and passionate advocate when you are dealing with a case like mine.
He is a bull when confronting non-reasonable people. He is no push over. When the other side tried to use coercive tactics, Mr.Harris pushed back! There were periods where I would be in disbelief on how well this Lawyer carried himself !
He is the gentlest yet strongest person I've ever met. He was extremely passionate as he vigorously spoke up to the Court.
Mr. Harris later told me that they were trying to take advantage of me and that he was NOT going to allow that. I was touched.
That was confirmation that he truly cares about his client's and not just your check book.
If you are looking for someone who is looking out for your best interest and willing to actually listen to your needs and your worries during difficult situations, and get results , then this is the right attorney for you. Mr. Harris provided detail consultation for me to prepare for LLC business depositions that were critical to closing an estate I was the administrator over. Mr. Harris was very detail oriented and ensured me of the many options I had. There was no pressure; straight legal-based counsel provided. Mr. Harris made my legal decisions easy during my time of bereavement; very patient with me. I needed an estate attorney for my 90+ year old parents to update Wills, prepare a Living Trust, and prepare Powers of Attorney, Healthcare POA's, Living Wills and Deed changes for the Trust. After interviewing 7 Knoxville attorneys/law firms, I settled on Stephen Carpenter at Carpenter & Lewis. He had fixed pricing (very reasonable for an entire Estate Package) and was impressive and personable on the phone.
We have now completed the process and we could NOT be happier with the result. My parents were so complimentary of the very process that they were dreading. Stephen is HIGHLY knowledgeable, tax and estate savvy, detail oriented and is so very down to earth, professional and responsive. His documents were amazing and needed very few changes. He is an avid listener and translated our unique needs into legal language so very well. He was great in explaining everything and answered all our questions in terms we could all understand. The process was painless!
I did my own estate documents 10 years ago in another state using a large, high powered law firm -- Believe me -- Stephen's process was 10 TIMES better - and a lot less expensive. A merchant I tried doing business with in Tennessee refused to return a down payment on a dump truck that I decided not to purchase after a detailed inspection. Mr. Sanders was very throural in understanding the matter before accepting the case. He was able to get 75 percent of our money back without going through a lengthy and expensive litigation. We are from out of state and was very concerned with finding a ligitimate lawyer. Mr. Sanders answered every text and returned every call within the same day they were made. We wish him all the best.

Like many other families, we were faced with decisions that we really didn’t think we would need to make… my Dad’s dementia was deepening and my Mom, his Caretaker, was beginning to rapidly fail herself.
It came to the point I knew my Dad needed more care than what my Mom was capable of providing. It needed to be done quickly and correctly. Frankly, I was worried my Mom would pass before my Dad.
My parents are retired school-teachers. That means they are not rich, but they do have income. It certainly means they do not have the money for Nursing Home care that my Dad needs, and for that matter, my Mom needed for him to have.
I knew that trying to do the paper work and application for Medicaid was far beyond my ability and know-how. I recognized at that point we needed an Attorney to handle this for us.
I looked for a nearby attorney and found Richard Shea. This was one of the best decisions made in this difficult junction of our lives.
Richard reviewed everything carefully…. He answered questions timely… He worked as a partner with our family.
We are so grateful we hired him…it turns out that one of the accounts my mom had saved money through her job, would have been at risk if we had made the application first. Richard identified the situation and made suggestions on how to restructure it, which we did. While the amounts would not seem large to most people with an IRA or Pension, it was huge for my mom, and meant a lot to her monthly income. This one detail, more than paid for Richard’s fee.
My Dad is in a great facility. My Mom is able to relax and reclaim part of her life because she doesn’t have the heavy burden of caring for my father any longer. She can sleep at night and not have to worry if my Dad was going to get out of bed and turn on the stove and burn the house down! (He actually came close one time.) She is actually getting healthier. During her last check-up, her doctor told her he was pleased with her resurgent health.
I cannot recommend Richard enough. He is well worth his fee since he will fill out the paperwork and handle the application process and deal with the questions from the Examiner. These are details that are nerve racking enough, let alone during a stressful time.
If you are faced with these decisions, I recommend you hire Richard to handle the details. You have enough stress as it is, let him handle the part you that you are not an expert in handling. You will feel a lot better that you did.

After a death, the last thing you want to do is worry about someone liquidating your fathers assets. This is what my sisters and I had to face a week after burying our dad. Due to him not having a will things where really complicated and his wife tried to take advantage of the situation. A family friend referred us to Bill and he has been a breath of fresh air throughout this entire process. Her attorney has been procrastinating the entire time and Bill has been on him like white on rice! Bill is very much to the point- no BS so if you want to be coddled then this one isn't for you. But, if you want the facts and someone that is going to give it to you straight while fighting for what's right then Bill is your guy. I highly recommend his team to anyone going through probate or a family settlement agreement. He's expensive but well worth the money I promise!

I went in for a free consultation and it was more than just a consultation she was very considerate and compassionate and really wanted to help and gave a lot more than just a free consultation she should have been paid for all the time she spent with me but it was free, in the end the only reason I didn't hire her was I did not have the affordable start-up fee she needed but when I can afford her and if I ever need an attorney for anything I will come to her always now!

We consulted with Margaret in March 2019 to represent my sister for her divorce. From the moment we met Margaret, we knew we had the right person in our corner. Her knowledge and caring demeanor made a very ugly situation as painless as possible.
