When starting to prepare for putting a will together, there are so many things to consider. Some things that I never even realized I had to give thought to. Before starting the process, Neal patiently met with me and my husband to discuss specifics of what it means to have a will and all the pieces that go with it, and why it's important. We left his office with the knowledge and understanding of why it's really smart to take those steps, and we were better able to have an honest discussion about all the items required to make the documents effective. Discussing end-of-life issues is never fun or glamorous, but leaving your loved ones without properly preparing for your passing is a burden that you don't want to leave with the people most important to you at a time that will be so difficult. I can't thank Neal enough for making this process much smoother than I thought it could be.

Sophia Shaikh guided us through the Probate Court, explaining each step along the way in simple, easily understood terms. Attorney Katz was engaged by our family to handle a very unique situation involving the burial of my father and mother in a local cemetery. Our father died first, and his cremated remains were buried at the cemetery and a headstone placed at the cemetery's direction.
When our mother died, she was supposed to be buried with my father’s urn. But the cemetery buried her in the wrong plot, and could not find my father’s urn. Eventually the cemetery moved her to the correct plot, but my father’s urn was still missing. The cemetery company told us, “We believe we have filled all of our obligations.” Attorney Katz then filed suit on our behalf. Ultimately, through his efforts, my father’s cremains were found, we had a proper funeral and received a settlement in compensation for all that our family had been put through.
At all times Attorney Jonathan Katz was reachable by the family and he worked tenaciously to get this matter resolved.
I have spent 30 years in law enforcement, and I understand what good lawyering is.
Thank You Attorney Katz for accepting his unique legal matter and seeing it thru to the end bringing closure for the family.

jonathan was fabulous during this ordeal, he was thorough and spent alot of time thinking the situation thru and discussing all of our options and possible reactions from opposing counsel, he went far beyond the call of duty to with our insurance company to resolve this issue.

We hired Kathy to assist in getting a medical settlement that began when my cancer was misdiagnosed in 2012. She was very attentive to the detail and the miscommunications within the medical group, and advised us (correctly) that we would be unlikely to win a malpractice suit. However, she agreed that the case had been mishandled, and doggedly pursued the medical group until reaching a very fair settlement. It took over a year, but her office never flagged, and kept us fully informed all along the way. We were not one of her firm's large clients, but received excellent professional care all the same. I was involved in an MVA with a tractor trailer while working that resulted in totaling my vehicle and requiring three back surgeries and missing months from work. The worker’s compensation company believed that since they felt I was not at fault kept pushing me to help them recover their monies that had been paid out for medical payments and wages. After threatening me to help them, I went and consulted with Mr. Collins about my options and how pushy the worker’s comp company was becoming. After a few days, I hired him to represent me against the trucking company and the worker’s comp claim became subordinate to mine.
Having been through a couple of previous accidents, Jack is the finest lawyer I’ve have ever had the pleasure of working with. Throughout the case he kept me up to date on everything that was taking place and what I should be expecting and rough timeframes. Since the trucking company was not local he travelled to take their depositions and make the best case we possibly could in preparation for trial. Because of Mr. Collins’ and his associates dedication and his exceptional knowledge of trial preparation, fair value for my sustained injuries, and ability to read the other parties resulted in a settlement that far exceeded my wildest dream.
I give him my strongest personal recommendation to anyone that is looking for a lawyer that is truly concerned about helping you “the person” and not just treated as another client.

I greatly appreciate the advice and assistance Scott was able to provide after my mother had an accident and couldn't live at home anymore. It was difficult situation as I am often, and he was able to make sure my mother received quality care. He put together all the vendors to get her house ready for sale and sold. He worked with us on finding the best place for my mother to live, and did the medicaid application when it was time, but he helped us to make sure she had everything she needed and found a way to set aside a fair amount of money for my sister and I. He even looked at copies of my mother's medical chart and suggested some changes in her care we should request.
I am very satisfied with Scott's legal services, but what my sister and I really appreciated was his being on top of things and available. I've had other attorneys where that just wasn't the case. The process of getting my mother placed with benefits took almost two years, and even when there wasn't something specific going on legally he would check in a couple times a month, and if we called him he answered his own phone, or he might call back after dinner or the next morning.
I would recommend attorney Rosenberg to anyone who needs help applying for Medicaid or transitioning a parent to any kind of assisted living placement.

Let me start by saying I never had or expected to have a case or law firm this long in my life.
My journey started in 2006 with Attorney Bernie Poliner of Poliner and Poliner in Middletown, Connecticut. Bernie had mentioned to me that he had been thinking of retiring and negotiating with the Law Firm of Leighton, Katz and Drapeau in Vernon, Connecticut, to take over his case load. As it turns out Bernie had a severe fall, hit his head and within days had passed away. Bernie’s Legal Secretary, Lorrie Cohen was making the move to the firm of Leighton, Katz and Drapeau. Lorrie has been a God-send to me because I have called her numerous times where she has been a sounding board for me, answered questions, listened to me with concerns and always there to help in any way she could.
It was an easy transition to Attorney Drapeau’s firm because I knew Lorrie knew my case inside out that was very comforting to me. For the next 10 (ten) years, Lorrie was my “go to” person, she was like a sister to me.
Attorney Drapeau, I personally believe is the best Workmen’s Comp attorney could have ever had. H was always on top of my case to answer questions and concerns thoroughly.
