Tony was suggested to me by another attorney. This was an motor vehicle accident where I was rear ended. Insurance company wanted to settle for 2k. I tried to work with them with out an attorney bad move. Tony came in and when they didn’t offer a fair settlement we went to trial - he was prepared and did a great job with jury selection. We won a much bigger settlement than I wanted or anticipated. He went above and beyond and his love of the law and his career are very evident and he’s a great lawyer.

Atty. Minchella represented my law firm and me personally when my ex-wife (also a lawyer) filed a lawsuit against me - years after our divorce was finalized and after a lengthy trial. What she didn't get from the state family court Judge, she tried to get by attempting an end run in Federal Court - claiming the lawsuit was a contractual claim pursuant to our former law partnership and thus "wasn't part of" the earlier divorce case. Needless to say, I was worried and thought I had seen the end of this woman's constant legal maneuvering and scheming. Plus, there was potentially millions of additional dollars at stake. Atty. Minchella stepped in and after a long fight, convinced the Federal Judge that the claim was baseless and contrary to the existing law. The case was dismissed and judgment entered in my favor. His legal skill and writing skill was top notch and impressive as I've been a trial lawyer for almost thirty years. I'd recommend him in a heartbeat.

Allison helped me revise my will, helath care directive and relatred documenrs. She also worked with me and my son's mother and her husband to set up a trust for our son through a non profit, the Plan of Connecticut. Every step of the way Allison was careful with the details and the big picture. She has good personal skills as is demonstrated by how she helped us through decisoins related to the trust. I was involved in a slip and fall injury and sustained a TBI (brain injury) and had to have a lawyer from Ct. to represent me and I was worried not knowing anything about him other then what I had read online, if you are like me or live there do not hessitate a bit to use Mr. Solimene he is great and knows what he is doing there is a reason he has awards hanging in his office, he is very caring and when you need him for anything during your case he is right there.

A person can file Social Security on their own but it is a long process and I know I could not have done this on my own. I was in a lot of pain, stressed, anxiety. Attorney Zimberlin is an expert in this area. The legal team sent requests for medical records from doctors, hospitals, therapy etc. I had a lot of forms to fill out and this was stressful enough. They sent everything to Social Security.

I was referred to Attorney Weatherby by a friend. I have no family but I wanted to leave a separate parcel of land with a garage to a neighbor and my home across the street to a friend.
I was procrastinating and dreading the process. Attorney Weatherby was able to provide a draft of the plan as we spoke and shortly after receiving a few missing pieces of information.

My husband and I engaged Hank Weatherby's services last year to help us plan for our children and grandchildren. As this is my second marriage and the third for my husband, with children from each marriage, we had thought this would be a very stressful process.

Attorney Hwang, in my opinion, did a great job coaching me through "the process". Sure, I was furious, and ready to sue my former partner (probably at great expense) but Sung-Ho showed me reality (at least for my case) and helped apply enough pressure to capture what was a good settlement. There's always risk in doing business but it was refreshing to see the process actually work. Specifically, Attorney Hwang help me recover funds that were invested in a (former) friends company via a convertible note. Later on, after the business failed, rather than providing assets/IP to the lien holders, as the owner should have, he sold himself all of the company IP, subsequently exchanging it for a large position in yet another company. The owner told me the IP had no value but yet he exchanged it for nearly 30% of another company? Anyway, a morally and ethically corrupt former friend got what he deserved and I got a reasonable settlement. I learned a hard lesson. Good coaching, reasonable fee, and I got closure and a good settlement.

Represented my firm in a construction litigation matter a long time ago (1990's). Lost track of him as he went on to the real estate business.
We won a claim under CUTPA (Connecticut Unfair Trade Practices Act) and recovered from a breached contract and also received treble damages. His fees were actually paid by the losing party. Was a very aggressive litigator and was relentless in pounding on the other party. My business partner and I were extremely pleased with his respresentation and wish he was still in full time practice but he started some type of minority real estate agency and apparently travels the world setting up offices, etc. Although I am not sure he will take your case, if he does you will likely be very happy with his services.

Attorney Heering represented me in a real estate lawsuit regarding title. I was being evicted from my property based on adjoining land owners surveys. I hired him for advice and to buy me some time to leave the property. The case was settled with me not only keeping all of the property I had bought years earlier without title policy but I ended up suing the adjoining builder and Heering won me $115k. This was a blessing. I owe this guy a lot. I highly recommend him, he knows his stuff.

Appoximately one year ago my wife of almost 27 years asked to end our marriage. A few days later we agree to get a divorce. A close business associate gave me a referral to the law firm of Freed/Marcroft in Hartford on Main Street. Our first meeting was in early August 2014 and our divorce proceedings ended just before Christmas of 2014 with the guidance of Lawyers Meghan Freed and Kristen Marcroft.
During a lengthy initial meeting between all parties they suggested we take a collaborative approach to completing our divorce. In this approach the attorneys help/guide the two parties involved to come to agreement on a couple dozen issues that will ultimately make up the divorce agreement that would be acceptable to the courts. They took a great deal of time to understand our years of marriage, and how each person fit into the marriage and how each person viewed the end of the marriage. At every meeting and with every phone call or email they would stress that every decision made would have to be very fair for each party. They constantly sought to educate on each topic, and remind each party of the attorney's role in this type of divorce process.
Kristen and Meghan handled the stickiest problems and contentious points with great expertise and finesse. They showed the utmost compassion and a caring attitude to both parties, which is surely not the case in most proceedings. By having two lawyers helping through the process, you get two distinct skillset and two checkers. That was most useful in overcoming some of the sticky situations that arise in the divorce process.
Kristen and Meghan move us through the entire process on a schedule they set up based upon our wishes and parameters. True to their word and nature they took us through that horrible day in court with compassion and understanding. They were able to interject themselves into the proceedings where many other of their contemporaries might not bother, which made our day easier.
Freed/Marcroft handled all our paperwork and filings under the watchful eye of Robin, the practice manager. Phone calls were returned within a sort of reasonable time, with emails and texts returned much quicker. I'm over fifty and still like voice. Email does seem to be the preferred method of communication. Kristen and Meghan were very upfront about how they get paid, what options for payment were available to us and ultimately what they felt would be the most cost efficient way to proceed.
Let me stress that the collaborative approach to divorce is not for everyone!! Kristen and Meghan will tell you as much right up front. If you want a team to help end a an important part of your life in a dignified way that is fair to all you should highly consider using Kristen Marcroft and Meghan Freed.

Nina Pirrotti, Went above and beyond what I think she had to do. I'm still not out of the woods in my situation, But she lead me in the right direction. My situation was very complicated and she took the time to figure it out. I will say that the lawyer's system is a little slow to get started with filling out paperwork, But once you pass that hump, It's well worth it. I live in north central North Dakota. I love the state, and area, and it has been home my entire life. The problem with the area is that, through past trials and tribulations, I know, as does anyone else living locally, that finding a lawyer that is willing to work with you is near impossible, especially in civil cases. In talking to a friend, I was given the name of Jonathan Friedler, and his current firm, Solem Law Office, based out of Beulah, North Dakota. I had been served a temporary, yet false domestic violence protection order. The order certainly infringed on my constitutial rights, and after a lot of back and forth within myself I decided I should find legal consultation. I left the time frame fairly narrow at this point. I contacted Jonathan four days before my court appearance date, and without even asking for a penny, he went to work for me in an extrodinary amount of time. He helped me file the proper paperwork, and left me with an amazing sense of ease. He assured me that we would get through this, and I did not doubt the urgency and honest infliction he put upon his words. To cut a long story short, I won on my day in court, with the help of an honest man trying to help a fellow human. That is almost unheard of these days, and he completely shattered my expectations. He went as far as to have given me every piece of advice possible to a common man, to have told me that he lives a fair amount of miles away, and that I could retain the documents he had drafted and brought it to a lawyer who was closer to save me money. I was not having any part of that. When a person puts in the type of work Jonathan did in the time frame he was given, they should be awarded with your business. In short, the decision to hire Jonathan was a calculated one, in that I knew I was working with someone who actually took the time to care, and understood every part of the law. I recommend him, in the fullest reguard to anyone else who needs representation.

I have been going through some extremely trying family issues as of lately. My son was taken across state lines without my consent, and the only way to get him back was to file through the courts and start the custody proceedings. Recently, the economic downturn required I face the prospect of having to close my business and force a new economic reality upon my family. We knew much would change but there was one thing my wife and I hoped and prayed for: to keep our home. Let me put it this way. Tracey interviewed one witness for over 90 minutes, and the other side wanted to settle. Her knowledge of my case went back 15 years, & she found all the evidence and history of the other party with incredible research! I had an out of state custody case but needed clarification and a legal document from a CT judge regarding jurisdiction. I called on Attorney Ron Scott. He took my call right away, worked miracles to get exactly what I needed and in record time! Although my child's case is not related to special ed, Mr. Berliner followed up with my urgent voicemail and called me after 8 pm, once he got a chance to respond. People get very stressful and emotional especially when they are not treated fairly and tend to carry away from the main course. I think Mr. Berliner knows this very well and stays sharp to the point. He spent about an hour or a bit more to listen to our situation, asked additional questions to clarify a few moments and tried to keep the conversation in a right direction. Unfortunately, I was out of time to make proper decisions for the next day, however, Mr. Berliner still suggested several options that were very helpful. I highly recommend Mr. Berliner to parents who are having problems with their schools.

We engaged Attorney Berliner after unsuccessfully trying to get our local school district to realize that our daughter’s educational needs were not being met. After literally years of trying to wade through PPT meetings and negotiating IEP’s we finally challenged our school district to consider an “out of district placement” so that she could finally get the specialized education she needed. Nothing that we said, no evidence that we provided could convince the school district that they were failing her.
From the outset, Attorney Berliner was personable, professional and very straightforward in explaining the various options we had. Once we engaged his services, he attended a PPT meeting with us and represented our position in a very clear way. When the school district continued to hold to their position, Attorney Berliner helped us through what ultimately because a legal battle that we could never have fought – or won – on our own.
I am very pleased to say that our daughter did receive the out-of-district placement that she needed. She has now moved through the high school system, and is a better adjusted, more motivated and forward looking young adult than she was, or would have been if she had stayed where she was.

In September, 2016, I contacted Atty. Pate regarding an incident I considered to be age discrimination in my workplace. In a no charge consultation, he advised me to contact my human resources department regarding the incident. I did so. My company investigated the incident, and it seemed to have been resolved. Six months later, my company took what I believed to be retaliatory action for my initial complaint. I resigned from my employment under duress two months later. I again contacted Atty. Pate who believed I had a discrimination and retaliation case against my employer. He advised me every step of the way while negotiating with the employer. Atty. Pate was helpful when I tried to collect unemployment and the employer appealed twice. My unemployment claim was successful. When the employer would not agree to a settlement, Atty. Pate filed a complaint with the EEOC, and ultimately a suit against the employer. Nine months after my second contact with Atty. Pate, the case was settled to my satisfaction. Atty. Pate kept me informed through the entire process. He was patient and empathetic and worked hard on my behalf against a very difficult employer. I am grateful for his efforts and guidance.

Jim is a straight shooter. Passion is a understatement. Being on the opposite side of comp for many years working for insurance companies, he knows all the tricks they pull. Now that he's come to the right side of the fight, he puts he knowledge and experience to good use. He takes no bs. I literally saw him make an attorney shake just by getting in a heated debate. If you need a comp attorney, he's definitely the guy you want sitting next to you. Don't rely solely on unions to fight for you because they are not well versed on labor law.
