My husband and I were both very pleased with Sean Hatley's work. He was fair, charged fair prices, and gave consistently good advice. I would trust his instincts as a litigant any day. He is pleasant but aggressive and hardworking. We had a good case, but he helped us bring it and the defendant settled over and above the amount we asked, right before the court date.

I hired Mr. Hatley for a case that I honestly did not know if I could win. It was fairly complex dealing with a business agreement that went sour with an individual that resided out of state. Mr. Hatley quickly diagnosed the different aspects of my case and outlined what he believed to be the points leaning in our favor and potentially against us. With his recommendation we decided to move forward in pursuing legal action against the other party and I am certainly glad that we did. We ended up getting a settlement agreed upon without even needing to go to court! This I believe was because of the excellent legwork and points Mr. Hatley made in talking with opposing council. He was always extremely responsive and gave me his honest opinion on all aspects of the case. I can’t thank Mr. Hatley enough for his advice and consultation all the way through the process, especially since this was my first time ever pursuing anything like this. I would absolutely recommend him to anyone that needs a great business attorney!

Our law firm found Mark here on Avvo, and have been grateful ever since. He and his company LTX Law Group have acted as Trustee in all of our recent Sale in Lieu (SIL) cases in Maryland, and we don't plan on using anyone else. She wasn't at all what I expected. She was warm and welcoming. Went out of her way to explain every detail of what I needed as I am starting to work through a custody agreement. Referred me to a mediator, and got me started in the right direction. She was caring toward my child, and went out of her way to be kind. I look forward to working with her again.

My Fiance' hired Erika back in January to represent him in a very complicated and long custody case. She was wonderful thru all of it. She took her time and reviewed everything we had. She answered any and all questions. She didn't make us feel like she was just our attorney but our friend too. She went head to head with two other attorneys who were against my fiance' all together. End of the story is Erika fought and my fiance has sole physical and legal custody of his son. Without her, it just would not have been possible. We also hired her for a driving related charge that my fiance' had and once again she fought and made sure the judge knew what changes he had made in his life and the outcome was better than any of us had ever expected. She is a top rate attorney and I would take her any day of a big city one. Since we have hired her, 3 of our friends also have just based off our experience.

Jon handled my medical malpractice claim. He is extremely knowledgeable and able to communicate the laws, process and options clearly so that a lay person can understand. Early on he developed a strategy to handle the case, explained it to us for our concurrence and executed it to a tee. He is aggressive but looks for a satisfactory resolution without necessarily going to court. His extensive background in this area and innumerable contacts in the field made the process relatively painless. He and his staff (Missy) were always available to meet with us or to discuss things over the phone. As we proceeded through the process Jon kept us advised of what was happening even as things moved slowly thorough the system. One of my fraternity brothers is a lawyer who handles medical malpractice cases for hospitals (essentially Jon's opponent). When I asked him about Jon he said "he is one of the good guys". Enough said

Jon Brassel was my attorney for a wrongful death case. My husband died from aortic dissection, that could have been prevented. Jon came from his office in Annoppolis to Salisbury to meet with me. If I had to use only two words to describe Jon they would professional and companionate. You need both of those qualities when in a situation such as mine. I was 36 years old, our son was 8, devastated would be putting it mildly. When we met he had some information I sent him. I was afraid I was going to break down at this meeting. He ask questions, let me tell my story, and with his professional and compatiante manner I got through it. Leaving that day feeling hopeful. When I would get updates from Jon he explained process and laws and circumstances and made sure understood. If I didn't I never felt rushed, if I had questions. We went to deposition, the doctor sat in the room, his two attorneys and a recorder. I did not feel intimidated, I was comfortable with Jon being on my side of the table. Some time later we closed, we won. I went to his office I met his team of professionals who worked on my case. I still contact Jon from time to time and have sent pictures of life events. I consider him my friend. He gave me strength, hope and confidence. He is the reason I was able to carry on and live my life without financial burdens. I am so thankful to have found him to represent me.

Jon recently settled a product liability lawsuit in our favor. Jon's immense experience with these types of cases and overall knowledge of the court systems and various national law practices was vital in the successful completion of our lawsuit. Wade has been most direct and realistic in his guidance of a legal matter which should have been cut and dry but got drawn out far more than imaginable. He is honest which is truly appreciated. Just wish others were equally direct and efficient.

Wade is an excellent attorney. I had a very long and drawn out problem with a large company that was dragging me through hell. Wade came up with a solution. He never talked over me and was always willing to spend the extra time to make sure that I understood everything that was going on. Unlike most attorneys, I believe that he enjoys his job.

Our Son had two Title IX Complaints filed against him with the University of Maryland from another Student. As a Family we disagreed with the Complaint. We hired Ron and he assisted our family and represented us in the proceedings against him by the UMD Conduct Offices. The Charges filed were of a serious nature and could have lead to an expulsion from the College and would negatively effect his academic and professional career for his future. Ron planned and prepared a defense for us, prepared and filed several documents, and represented our Son in each of the investigations and hearings. His knowledge and additional interpretation of the Student Code of Conduct assisted us in having all of the charges dropped and it was determined there were no violations. We had felt our Son was treated unfairly in the investigation. Ron's diligence and pursuit of this matter along with his interpretation of the Student Conduct Rules resulted in a favorable outcome on our behalf. Mr Ellis was my divorce lawyer. I can only say positive things. The reason I hired him in the first place is because he stated his main concern was the well being of my children. His every action and decision and advice was based on what was best for my children first ( which in turn ended up being best for me). He did not have surprise charges and always provided detailed, itemized bills. He always fought for me and treated me with respect and kindness. He also has many years of experience and contacts. My son got into trouble. Our first lawyer wanted over $2000,00 - and recommended a plea. Dan charged half of that, won the case at trial, and continued to work and befriend my son. He has brought our whole family together with his interesting views on life, his humor, and ability to put this whole thing into perspective. He should be a family therapist and a lawyer. Dan was still dealing with my first DUI, when I had to hire him for my second. The situation spanned two states and timing was of the essence. Dan was strategic in his approach and knew his way very well in the courtroom and with the right people. As a result, I walked away with a deal that could have been beat only by not having a dui (or two) in the first place. I hope that I never have to hire him for myself again. But I'd recommend him to any friend.

This guy is amazing. I heard of his name first when this kid we met when we were young his father was rich and could afford a good lawyer then he explained to me the outcome of all the defendants but this rich guys son avoided so much trouble and ever since then at age 17 I started using him.

I have used him as an attorney twice and I was very happy with the outcome. He has been my fiancés family attorney for years and my fiancé has also referred him to numerous of his friends that ALL have had great experiences with him and used him more than once. We always get phone calls from people we refer to him thanking us. He is VERY knowledgeable and tells it like it is! Mr. Depastina help me out so much! I couldn't be happier... I went through a hardship several years ago and was behind on my mortgage thousands and thousands of dollars I reached out for help from the bank and other lawyers and was turned down from the bank and about 3 different lawyers saying there was nothing that could be done to help me...I thought I was never going to get out of this nightmare. After 3 years of being depressed and not knowing weather I was going to keep the house I was referred to talk to Anthony. He gave me a lot of guidance and was very knowledgeable and knew exactly how to handle the situation. The long short of it I was approved for the modification program and all the late fees were waved and the principle balance was reduced I saved about $150,000 dollars and my mortgage went from $1800 a month to $1048. I cant thank Anthony Depastina enough I couldn't have done it without him. If anyone is in a similar situation or knows anyone that is please call Anthony you will not be disappointed!!!

I was injured in a bad motorcycle accident where i lost my right so i searched 3 months for a lawyer before i choose Charlie. As I was talking with lawyers I took a pad with me and told them that I was interviewing them to see who i wanted and that I was going to take notes so i would remember because after i was done i would need to go back and review them to make make an informed decision. Gosh, now what a rude awaking to the competency of some of these people or lack ther of did i find because out of 26 lawyers I only found 3 that I liked and only after looking back at my notes could i determine that my decsion was a no brainer. This man is someone who will tell you right up front what he thinks even if it 's something that you don't wanna hear. He is extremely resourseful and thorough. Joel Denning took on my case with very short notice. He dropped everything he was doing to speak with me and made special arrangements to rearrange his case times so that he could represent me. He is honest and fair and financially reasonable. With him, you will have his cell phone and not have to wait for a call back should you need urgent legal advice, unlike other law firm attorneys. Should I ever need help again, I will never have to look for another attorney. He is the best.

I used Mr. Riddle on a possession and DUI charge in 2013. Due to prior traffic violations, I could have faced jail time. After hiring Mr. Riddle, I walked away with unsupervised probation, as well as being able to have charges expunged after 3 years. I know I will not have to search for another attorney in Maryland after finding Mr. Riddle.

Steve Poirier was one of the best calls I made. He took immediate attention to my situation and quickly attended to my needs. Custody issues can be very stressful not only for the parent, but the children as well. I am a father who had a lot against me and when it seemed that no one else believed me or would fight for me or my children she was right there. She always responded to emails and phone calls no matter how small the situation may have seemed. She walked me through each process giving me the best advice on what I should or shouldn't do. Craig Ward handled my challenging case about 6 months ago. I was fortunate to have Mr. Ward. He’s not afraid to fight for you and he seemed determined to make things work in my favor. Craig is smart, proactive, and extremely knowledgeable about a wide array of issues. The outcome he achieved for me was far better than I had expected. I can tell you I was extremely worried about my case, but knowing that I had Craig Ward for a lawyer truly made a huge difference. He developed a plan for me to follow, called me to keep me informed about what he thought and I fully trusted him and listened to everything he instructed me to do. I can't even tell you how great of an outcome I had in court today, I received something even better than what I thought was the best possible scenario. I noticed other lawyers sitting around and waiting their turn to be heard in front of the judge, but my lawyer was constantly talking to the states attorney throughout the entire period I was in the courtroom. He made everything convenient for me as a client, showed a high degree of professionalism, and defended me perfectly when I gave him a tough case to take on. Cares about clients and wants to get you a positive outcome without bankrupting you. I have learned that you can pretty much divide divorce attorneys into 2 categories: one group that simply wants to churn information back and forth between attorneys as well as between attorney and client in way that simply bills hours and accomplishes little until the 11th hour when it could have been settled in the first or second hour. And then there is a group, like Karen, that truly wants to problem solve, propose solutions, avoid litigation and get an outcome for her client that is both fair and reasonable in cost. Karen is honest, dedicated and she told me what I needed to hear rather than what I wanted to hear. I cannot recommend her highly enough. I was fortunate to have someone recommend her to me and, every time I mentioned her to someone in the legal community in Maryland (4x), the response from each attorney was overwhelmingly positive. If you are looking for someone who will be in your corner, fight for you, shoot straight with you(the good and the bad), look no further than Karen Amos.
