If I could give 0 stars- I WOULD! Did NOT show up to court! Red flag #1 When Raimo was appointed to my child support case I spent the entire time leading up to my court date trying to reach her with no success. I tried everything. She DOES NOT respond or return emails, phone calls, millions of voicemails etc. Red flag #2 When I finally heard from her it was via a text message sent at midnight- which I find completely unprofessional. With my court date 4 days away, I was feeling desperate and helpless, so I responded immediately, but AGAIN got no response until 2 days before court. Red flag #3 When I finally spoke to her, I explained my case but she offered no sound advice or options for fighting the case. She seemed uninterested and claimed she was busy with “school.” This interaction left me feeling just as hopeless as before. Now at this point I should’ve known better and looked elsewhere for help, but she had dragged me and ignored me right up until the weekend before court so I had no time. Now here I am, waiting to see the judge, and she is nowhere to be found; Ignoring all my calls and texts. Long story short- SHE DID NOT EVEN SHOW UP TO COURT!! TWO DAYS LATER - she sends me a nonchalant text message saying- “Sorry I missed you. What happened in court?” She did not even have the decency to give me a call. Disgustingly unprofessional. I NEVER write reviews but this one was necessary!! This lady should have her license revoked! As a lawyer, clients put their trust in you and you are responsible for their well-being, freedom, representation in the legal system. I’m sorry but this lady is TRASH!

Mariam Ebrahimi is a top-notch attorney. Over the course of several years dealing with a litigious ex and fighting over custody, Mariam has proved to be my best advocate, guiding me through what has been an incredibly high conflict divorce. She is straight forward and doesn’t just tell me what I want to hear. Her perspective on how the judicial system works and what is considered reasonable is first rate. She knows the law and is quick on her feet in dealing with things that arise last minute. She is also one of the most accessible and responsive attorneys I have ever met. She truly cares about her clients and wants what is in their best interest. You can’t go wrong if you go with Mariam. She will always be on your side and guide you appropriately.

She was my attorney in adultery case two years ago. What she was cared to make money not to win the case. She made very bad mistake with separation date. My ex took the 5th. She asked me to go to Court with her. She said I should feel the cour atmosphere. When we got to court, she immediately introduced me to the judge and put me on the stand being questioned without any preparation. She used me because she was not prepared.He got his fifth. She asked me to give return taxes for five years. What a waste of time it was. I had doubts whether she looked into them.She overcharged me for every meeting and everything she was doing.She was rude,often burst screaming when questioned her actions/approached and threatened to leave the case.She supposed to send certified and regular letters.After three weeks not getting respond from the recipient I asked for receipt with tracking number. She got very angry screaming,if I don’t trust her she can’t defend me anymore.She never send those letters, she lied. For the Deposition most questions I prepared she had no time and asked for.There was the most humiliating time for me.My ex was sarcastic to her the most of the time and lied and she had solid evidence he did.when she started negotiations with his lawyer how much money I have to give back to my ex for spousal support he paid me and for all bills he paid for house. I not supposed to return any money to him, I found out later. I left her after that.

I am so glad I was able to find Mariam. She helped guide me through a divorce that left me in pieces. Not only did she ensure that my interests were always in the front, she ensured the other counsel did not create undue burden with me. I praise her ability to help me and her knowledge of the law to guide me when I wanted to get the other side. She ensured that we found the core values of what we were fighting for and went after it. WARNING - DO NOT USE - I don’t normally write reviews but this one I’m doing because I wish someone had told me. I’ve have actually filed a complaint with the VA State Bar. I paid in October 2017 for an easy divorce as we had a prenup. She finally told me in March that I would have my papers in 4 to 6 weeks - the word “guaranteed” was said several times, which stood out because nobody, let alone an attorney, would say that. Now comes August & she finds out we need affidavits. Stating she and the opposing attorney didn’t think they would need them. I don’t know who the opposing attorney is because he didn’t have one. She will call so it shows unknown caller that goes straight to voicemail and will then deny she did that. Still no divorce. Use at your own risk now.

I thought I would have a great experience with this law office, but almost every time I would get in touch with the office, it took forever to have my case worked on. Any action on my case was so delinquent, that I was offered a small refund, which I feel is a great P.R. gesture. One month ago, I was told "the check is in the mail". I emailed this exact statement recently to the office, and I still have not heard back. The continuous delays and excuses really turned me off. Very disappointed is an understatement.

No one ever wants to get divorced. I felt like I was in an abyss. She was wonderful and continues to be wonderful, years after the fact. I recommend her to every friend or family member in the area that needs an attorney for one of her specialties. She's the best!!

Zealous fails to adequately describe the representation. My action was very high profile, but her office never wavered in their discretion. I can only describe the firm as exceeding the benchmark of professional The young secretary I spoke with most often was April, very bright and able-minded (didn't give legal advice), but it was Dale, Marilyn's highly skilled, ambitious associate taking care of the day to day maintenance on my case and Marilyn, as her usual pit viper self, expressing my loss before the court, demanding equity, satisfaction and closure. Faster and less painful than I imagined. This lawyer is expensive, but well worth the money! Her office bills at various rates, which range from $150 an hour to $500 or more per hour, depending on the work being done. Ms. Solomon may not guarantee results, but hiring her was the best decision I could have made during a very difficult time in my life. I am very satisfied with the outcome and I would recommend Marilyn to anyone in the Winchester area seeking an experienced divorce or bankruptcy attorney. Ms. Solomon's office is conveniently located in downtown, Winchester. Ms. Solomon is easy to reach and very responsive. The professionalism and legal expertise of the firm exceeded my expectations in every possible way!

I hired Marilyn to represent me in my divorce and will regret it for the rest of my life. I would have gotten the same result going to court with no representation that I received with her. I lost everything including my kids, my home, partial retirement and most of my marital savings. To date I’ve payed her almost 8,000 (the small and exact amount she was able to get from my savings of 50,000) for her poor service and continue to receive bills for additional payment. She seems to think she is entitled and deserves to be paid an astronomical amount when she failed to even attain the money from my own savings. I hate to leave reviews like this especially because I do think she tries to be fair regarding custody and divorce cases which is all I asked for but it is not helpful when the other party is draining savings accounts and attempting to relocate your children before you step foot in court. My advice would be to save your money and look elsewhere.

I highly recommend Ralph Main. My daughter and I both went to him to get a General Power of Attorney and a Last Will and Testament. He listened to what we wanted and we asked him a lot of questions. So glad we went to him and you will be too. We are so happy we got that taken care of!!!

She was my attorney for over two years. I really feel I did most of the work and she charged me for it. I was never charged paralegal rates for simple tasks or quick emails, she always charged me her full rate. She and her paralegal were incompetent when it came to navigating basic google drive etc. I had entire drive prepared myself with folders of evidence and information and neither of them could navigate it. Plenty of times she was unprofessional towards me, the opposing counsel and the judge. She often made me feel uncomfortable or stupid for asking questions about my own case or proceedings. On one occasion she called me an hour before our big trial claiming to have "lost" all the documents and requesting I bring all my own copies. She was then late to that trial, annoying the judge. During the trial she let the opposing counsel talk circles around her. It wasn't until I no longer used her services and did the continuing litigation on my own that I started actually getting the results I desired and began avoiding unnecessary or prolonged litigation. If you are searching for a legit attorney who will work FOR YOU I strongly recommend you hire someone other than Rita Ros-Planas.

I consulted with Ms. Ros-Planas in an emergency child custody situation when a family member took my nephew across state lines without permission. She knew exactly how to handle the situation and did so in a very caring manner. She even followed up to confirm the child's safe return, though I ended up not needing to hire her. I am very pissed to what she did to us. I would never recommend Kristine Tungol and I will give her 0 star. We hired her for the petition of my brothers, but after my dad paid her in full amount she just ignored our emails,texts or calls. She charged us thousands of dollars and this what we got from her? Shame on you.

I had the opportunity to work with Tungol law office for my Employment H 1B visa. They were so great in assisting me in order to get the visa approval. They were efficient, knowledgeable and experienced in doing their job. Also every one that I worked with was very nice and friendly. I had a very good experience working with them and will be more that happy using the same law office for my immigration process.

Collected retainer up-front. Impossible to get in touch with. When I did hear back from him it would take a month of contact, only to have him not remember anything about my case. It took a full year to get a court date. He gave me the wrong court date, getting my case dismissed. He never showed up at court, even on the date he did me. And is now ignoring my contacts. He has not so much as returned a call or email in the two months since he got my case tossed out. Avoid. He just took my money and ghosted me.

I would highly recommend this firm. In particular Spencer Beckman and Paralegal, Jenny Peshoff. I only met with Spencer once for my initial consultation, but he was very friendly, professional, and down to earth. My mind was put at ease very quickly. The majority of my time was spent working with Jenny Peshoff and she was incredibly responsive, timely, and always friendly. During the few times that I visited the office in person, the staff was always courteous and very helpful. I would highly recommend both Spencer and Jenny - they are a great team! The one thing I appreciated most was the "non-lawyer speak" they used when speaking with me so that I understood exactly what was happening every step of the way.

I had a situation with a Protective Order. Spencer won the case for me in a spectacular fashion. The opposing counsel went on and on but Spencer's thorough and deep understanding of the law made him pinpoint what is important and relevant and what the judge needed to hear to win the case for me. I was so happy that day. In my opinion, he is the best in his business. If you are looking for an attorney, look no more. Just hire Spencer. He is your man... I will forever be in his debt for what he did for me. He is just an amazing lawyer!

Melanie is the lawyer, Donna the paralegal. Files separation and paid then in January, called and left messages and emails, did my end of the paperwork....nothing. .. June and I have paid them for bothe separation and divorce and nothing has been done... divorce was amicable and we had already separated assets and living separate lives for over a year at this point.... it's the end of July and they claim the paperwork is not back to them from my partner... absolutely unprofessional. 2nd time they claim the paperwork was sent back to them when in reality they probably lost it. A disgrace considering the other reviews of this firm are good... at this point I have given them all the money and they have be wrapped jn so they can take their sweet time. At this point I would be happy to have my money back so I can find someone to take care of this.

Tim Bosson represented me in a case brought by a hostile, dishonest, and aggressive opposing counsel. His calmness, his competence and his honorable behavior in the face of it all helped me to keep a lid on the emotion and to keep "doing the next thing" throughout the process. He continually helped to refocus me on the important issues and helped me to do the difficult work of ignoring the personal attacks and hostility. He was quick to seek additional advice and expertise, careful about the details, responsive to my concerns and fears along the way, reassuring about the aggressive tactics of opposing counsel, and took the time to explain the process to me. My husband and I, as we enter our retirement years, retained Magner Law for an advanced planning and estate planning engagement. Unfortunately, we were very unhappy with the quality of the work product -- particularly the inattention to detail. We anticipated receiving Powers of Attorney, Living Wills, a Trust, and other products, that would provide us comfort and assurance regarding our healthcare and financial wishes. Very unprofessional and rude. On top of that they lost my important paper work I had hand delivered. Amy would make appointments with me and wouldn't keep them. Then put me with her assistant that was very rude and unprofessional.

Ms Geddes took control of the hearing and guided both the judge and I through each and every condition that contributed to my need for SSI.I say it like that, because she knew me literally better than I knew myself!She was highly organized,well spoken and proficient. She is also knowledgeable about every aspect of this process,this was my third time filing and I firmly believe had I not had Ms Geddes it wouldn't have had such a favorable outcome. And even after I was approved she let me know that she would be more than willing to appeal to try and get them to go back even farther to increase backpay.She won't stop until she gets results,as for me I am happy and beyond grateful for what I recieved and owe it all to Ms Geddes!

I hired Mr. Nagel for a reckless driving charge (87/65) that I incurred while travelling on I-81. Mr. Nagel was able to get the charge knocked down to defective equipment. Mr. Nagel was also very professional as he would respond to emails in a timely manner and would explain why he did everything. Overall Mr. Nagel exceeded my expectations in everyway possible, and I would highly recommend his services to anyone seeking representation. I thank him to save me from reckless driving charge.

I hired this attorney to represent me in a case. I really needed a lawyer that would try the case. Mr. Nagel talked a lot about how the other party had several witnesses an they wouldn't be able to hold their story together. I went to see him twice about concerns I had. He reassured me that he would get it done. Well Court day, an he turned pussycat. He had all kinds of excuses about why to not try the case an take a deal. And at that point you are stuck an cannot do anything about it. Of all the attorneys I have hired in the past he provided the least service. I consider my money wasted an could have probably represented myself an got the same thing or better. Beware when using this lawyer! I was thoroughly disappointed in his service. Never again.

Dennis Nagel has been my "attorney in shining armor" for almost 7 years with ongoing legal issues starting with my divorce, which cascaded into multiple child custody and support issues and hearings over the years. Dennis was the BIG HERO for myself and my son just a few weeks ago when he successfully argued an appeal to the Circuit Court regarding the custody of my son. Dennis is keenly efficient at what he does. In court, he is able to make strong arguments that are clear and concise, which I believe the courts appreciate. Outside of court, Dennis is very quick to respond to emergency emails (I'm talking like within 5 minutes of you sending an "SOS/MAYDAY" type of issue through email...on a SUNDAY NIGHT...kind of "very quick"). Also, in office meetings are very thorough and to the point, yet, Dennis makes you feel better about what you are worried about when he is discussing your case with you. Yet, he never sugar coats anything. Dennis is an attorney who tells it like it is and you always know where you and your case stands with him at the helm. Dennis Nagel is an attorney that doesn't waste a client's time and money just like he wouldn't waste his own. Dennis listens and learns quickly a client's needs and then EXECUTES the case in a way that is like a brain surgeon would perform surgery on a brain....with precision and deftness. With Dennis, there may not be a ton of unnecessary and expensive correspondence or discussion, like I have experienced with other attorneys before I found Dennis. But, Dennis is an attorney who KNOWS what needs to be done and gets it done. Dennis Nagel is fair, he is frank, and he is an absolute expert in his field. Anyone who needs an attorney in Dennis Nagel's specialties should be SO LUCKY as to have him agree to take their case. I can't say enough wonderful things about him and his work!

Found myself in a bad situation. Was looking at a total of 3 charges. One being a felony caused so much anxiety and stress. Contacted Mr Simon and explained my situation. He was upfront, did not make any promises and told me what was my best options. He did some background work and communicated with the prosecutor’s office. Presented the facts to the state attorney and was able to get the case to be dropped before going to trial. Great work. Excellent communication and what I felt were fair prices. But what’s a fair number when dealing with your freedom?

When it became clear to me that my custody & child support situation was not going to come to a resolution without the courts getting involved, I was referred to Nichols Zauzig by a family friend who had previously had a wonderful experience with this firm while being represented by Paul Nichols. I cannot say enough amazing things in regards to the representation I have received by Paul Nichols. His knowledge of the law and ability to analyze a situation, (sometimes that situation could mean the second right before the court hearing is to begin) and to be able to quickly make the right decision for his client is completely remarkable. We are appreciative and grateful for how our son’s child custody case was handled by Paul F. Nichols of the law firm, Nichols Zauzig. Mr. Nichols was the third and final attorney we hired who was finally able to understand the complexities of what proved to be a difficult and traumatic experience for all involved. If you should be lucky enough for her to take your case, you for the most part probably have the most solid representation in the state of Virginia. I wish that we could have had more in-depth detail conversations prior to court, while I was incarcerated but she was representing me from Fairfax while I was in Charlottesville but was also taking care of a case in Fairfax for me as well. Not thinking at all that I would receive a bond,somehow her craft of taking a stance against the,Commonwealth and the sitting judge. Got a standing ovation that day.She definitely is the best that you're going to get it in the state of Virginia and geniouly cares about her clients.

We went to court for custody. Lisa prepared a thorough case against my children's mother. This custody battle was 4 years in the making. In court she painted a picture of the facts while protecting me. We won primary custody of my two daughters. I could not be happier.
