I've had to use attorneys for multiple things over the years, and I remember being really surprised at the 5 star review for ANY firm, but now that I'm an immigration client, I absolutely get it! I had considered (and even retained) over 10 attorneys in the past 5 years for both personal and business matters, and my experience working specifically with Brendan Venter, a Partner in the Immigration practice, has been simply outstanding. He is the most honest, transparent, and responsive attorney I've ever met. I understand that law around marriage-based / family immigration is actually quite complex, and we immediately felt confident that we were in the right hands with Brendan, and he has not disappointed. You hear horror stories out there, and sadly most are justified. Brendan, and by extension H-B for being smart enough to make him the partner of this practice, have restored my faith in the craft... at least with them! Eternally grateful for his counsel.

Margie Soehl is a top notch savvy attorney. She was recommended to us by a former client. She was not only legally savvy but also sensitive to my spouse's needs. For example, the injuries incurred as a result of the circumstances that led to the case, limited my spouse's physical abilities. She spoke to us about doing the necessary deposition over several days, as opposed to one marathon day that would have been superlatively challenging for my spouse. Justin and his firm make transactions happen for his clients. He is dedicated to using the latest in technology combined with old-fashioned customer service. He is always available and very responsive whether you just need your legal rights explained or if you need to discuss more complicated legal issues. He helped overcome last minute obstacles that were going to delay closing on the property. He was always looking ahead during the process and making sure that we addressed things before they became a problem. At the closing he went through all of the closing statements and documents in detail to make sure that there was no question unanswered. They don't come any better! I highly recommend Justin.

Linda Johnson was my attorney for a personal injury-associated traffic ticket, and she quickly familiarized herself with my case, and Ms. Johnson got the case dismissed. My experience with Linda Johnson was part of a very long 3 year lawsuit which I was the victim of a car crash. Linda and Steve Shultz where my lawyers for this lawsuit against three different people (insurance company lawyers). Now to be honest lawsuits are kind of a pain mostly because of how long it takes which wasn't my lawyers fault but the opposing companies but Linda did an amazing job on my case especially during the week long trial battle. Not only that but she was really supportive and did a great job helping me make crucial decisions which in turn helped me get a very favorable outcome. That said if I had to go through this type of experience again and hopefully I don't because the crash part still hurts there is no other lawyer I would rather have on my team she definitely knows her stuff and is a pleasure to work with I couldn't thank her enough. She helped me fight for what I deserved and it worked out in my favor made it so I can finally move forward and go to college. If you have a lawsuit Linda will 100% not disappoint.

I was very seriously injured at a New York State boat launch. Chris Flint handled the case from start to finish. We brought an action in against New York State in the Court of Claims. I saw Chris in action, first in depositions, then at trial. He was great. Chris had spent many hours with me both in his office and at the scene of the accident, preparing for trial. He went above and beyond and was absolutely driven to get me the best result possible. Through Chris’s hard work and excellent skills in the court room, the Court found liability on the State, a result they were definitely not expecting. The State then settled the case. I feel that without Chris’s hard work, I could not have won the case. I would highly recommend Chris to anyone.

Unfortunately I needed to hire an attorney as my husband was killed during a repossession. I was lost and could hardly think of anything other than my family. Casey helped me work through drafting a contract for the process of assisted reproduction with a close friend. I couldn't have asked for a better lawyer for this process. She helped me understand all the issues involved - on both a legal and a personal level - and she was extremely knowledgeable about the law as it stands and as it may change in the future. I was nervous about making sure that we drafted as strong a contract as possible. While she wasn't afraid to tell me when something I wanted wasn't possible, her supportive attitude during our conversations helped me feel much more comfortable with the document that we generated over the course of the process, and it ended up containing almost all of what I wanted. In addition, she was not only timely and responsive in our communication, she was also human - and a warm and caring human at that. Hands down the best lawyer around. I had previously hired another lawyer for my divorce and adoption of my son, and after 5 months and several thousand dollars, nothing was accomplished. I was referred to Casey from a friend who had a great experience as well. Casey was able to break everything down and go over everything until I could understand the complicated situation I was in. With her by my side, we were able to accomplish our goals and finalize everything in a timely matter. She was never one of those lawyers who wanted to drag anything out just to drain me of more money (Like my previous lawyer). She was always available to reach when needed, even on a Saturday night!! This highly recommended rating may look more like a family member or close friend s review but I have been a client of Mr Lamme for almost the past 2 years due to a very complicated case that I am involved with. WHEN I FIRST ARRIVED BACK IN ALBANY NY IN JULY 2013 AFTER A TEN YR HIATUS MY LICENSE WAS CLEAN. I SECURED A GREAT JOB THAT REQUIRES ALOT OF TRAVEL. SOON AFTER, I WAS CAUGHT DOING 76MPH IN A WORK ZONE WHICH WAS POSTED AT 55MPH AND IN NYS THATS A BIG NO NO. THIS WOULD HAVE COST ME MY CAREER AS DRIVING IS A NECESSITY FOR A SERVICE TECHNICIAN. IMMEDIATELY I WAS FRANTIC. BIENG FAIRLY NEW HERE I HAD NO KNOWLEDGE OF THE LOCAL ATTORNEYS AND DIDN'T KNOW ANYONE TO GET A GOOD REFERRAL. LUCKILY I FOUND MR. KIRSCH ON AVVO. I TOLD HIM MY SITUATION AND IMMEDIATELY HE PUT MY MIND AT EASE. IT WAS CLEAR THAT ALL HIS YRS IN THE TRAFFIC COURTS HAD WON HIM SOME SIGNIFICANT BARGAINING POWER. THIS SPEEDING TICKET WAS REDUCED TO A PARKING TICKET WITH NO POINTS AND AND A $200 FINE IN A MATTER OF DAYS. AWESOME. THEN.....2 WEEKS LATER MR. KIRSCH CALLS AND TELLS ME HE FOUND AN OLD TICKET FROM TEN YRS AGO JUST BEFORE I MOVED OUT OF TOWN AND IT'S STILL ON MY RECORD. I ASKED HIM TO WORK HIS MAGIC AGAIN, AND AGAIN HE CAME THROUGH SEAMLESSLY. PARKING TICKET WITH A $175 FINE. ALL IN ALL MR. KIRSCH COST ME AROUND $400 FOR HIS PRICELESS SERVICES, CLEARED MY LICENSE, AVOIDED ANY POINTS AT ALL AND KEPT ME INFORMED THROUGH THE WHOLE THING. I'LL BE SURE TO RECOMMEND HIM TO ANYONE THAT NEEDS AN HONEST, FAST, EFFECTIVE LAWYER.

After problems with my old lawyers ( a very large corporation) didn’t do a simple change of address form and then told INS that they had no knowledge of my whereabouts which left me in jail a friend contacted Mr Pearson , who was honest from the outset and not only got me out of jail but also over a period of the next 5 years worked tirelessly with wisdom, diligentce until the case was won and I had my green card . I recently hired Mr. Palmateer in a Federal trademark dispute case in which I was the defendant. First of all, Lee is very personable and an excellent communicator, which I have found to be qualities lacking in some attorneys. He is diligent about returning phone calls and e-mails and is scrupulously honest in his billing practices. He is, in short, a credit to the legal profession. I had been sitting on my business trademark for years knowing I need to secure an official trademark but clueless on where to start. I was seriously considering using an online legal filling service but very uncomfortable with the unknowns and completely overwhelmed by the process knowing there was much more that had to be considered. A colleague recommended I contact Lee. It was the best move I could have made. I called his office and he got back to me immediately. After discovering that I had Legionnaire's Disease which I contracted from the Best Western Sovereign Hotel in Albany, which has a history of problems with this disease, I contacted Michael Conway who I knew from newspaper stories was representing several other clients with the same problem. Michael was kind enough to visit me at my home while I was still recovering from the Legionnaire's so I wouldn't have to make the trip down to his office. I had originally contacted another lawyer whom I knew personally but decided to go with Michael because he was already deeply involved with other Best Western Legionnaire's cases. I always found Michael responsive and he dutifully kept me apprised of the status of my case by sending me all paperwork and staying in touch by phone. He answered all my questions in an easy to understand way. My case was settled by mediation, and thanks to Michael's and his team's efforts, I was remunerated nearly $36,000 in damages from the Best Western. I appreciate all of Michael's hard work and expertise and would heartily recommend him to anyone seeking an excellent personal injury attorney.

John-Raphael has been nothing but exceptional since meeting him. As soon as I contacted him, he quickly responded and was able to meet with me for a consult on my family’s case. His ability to speak Spanish was really helpful in being able to keep my family involved in the conversation. I met April in 2000 after my children were injured in the worst possible way. She was the first attorney from the firm tgat made contact with me and assured me she was going to help ,which she did more than I could ever explain. He took my brothers case to the United States Supreme Court and won!! He is a fighter who never gives up. I have met a lot of lawyers but I have never meet a lawyer who won before the US Supreme Court. His office has photos of him and his wife with the Chief Justice of the Court (Roberts). Hopefully we will never need to go to the Supreme Court again but if we do he is our man! One of the smartest lawyers in upstate New York.

When I got back from Iraq, I learned that I lost my job during my deployment. Mat took my case for free and got me my job back PLUS $50,000 in case and $80,000 in attorney fees.
