I remember Mr. Gerald Smith.
In 2012 I hired Mr. Smith to help me finalize my second divorce in the court of Dallas. However, I did not get what I wanted for the child support for the two children; My ex-husband stated he did not have work. I believe he was lying.
During that time, Mr. Smith helped me from start to finish, although I needed to be more faithful to him with the payment. I did not mean to make him angry. I was a single mother, worked part-time, and was paid $10.00. an hour. During that time, I got sick and could not work. Whatever money I had before, I have to use it to feed my children. I am a person who remembers those who help me. One day, I said I would pay Mr. Smith for helping me and my children in God's perfect time.
I define a 'lawyer' as a man who will only help his neighbor if he has the money. Mr. Smith is different from them. His heart still remembers to help the weak. He is like a light that shines in the darkness. May the Lord Jesus Christ remembers Mr. Smith for helping one of His people. His words said: "And whoever gives one of these little ones only a cup of cold water in the name of a disciple, assuredly, I say to you, he shall by no means lose his reward."

I called the attorney because I heard that he was a very good attorney. After two consultations the attorney stated that he does not take 4th amendment violations cases even though I made a point to specify that according to the United States Supreme Court stare decisis case rulings everything that occurred to me during and after arrest and subsequent detainment would be presumed as a violation of due process.
He is someone that untruthful and will not hesitate to lie to you regarding his time and when he will contact you.

I hired Mr.Smith for a run in with the law I had and let me tell you something, this guy is legit. Out of all the lawyers in the court room he came in and not only looked the most professional but carried himself 1st class. He knew all the appropriate people that could have been against my case which was a plus because he was able to get one of my charges completely dismissed which left the court room in awe and the second charge brought down to the lowest charge possible. In all, my second charge will be differed after my probation period giving me a second chance at being a promising citizen without a tainted past. I would totally recommend him. He's a stand up guy who has been patient with all my payments due to hardship in my life and has not harassed me in any way. Please Please Please do whatever it takes to not use a court appointed lawyer, I saw many people in there get ridiculous charges all because they chose to gamble their lives on the easy way out. He actually requested all the evidence and scrutinized everything about the case. Do yourself and others a favor if you or someone you know needs some help with a case call Mr.Smith, you won't regret it.

Kevin was referred to me though a friend of my daughter. Since Kevin is Dallas-based and I reside in Ohio, communication was 100% long-distance (phone/e-mail). The issue centered on my contention that I had a legal right to inherit royalties from a couple of oil wells in OK which were left to other family members by my father's second wife following her death. My two daughters were among the seven named inheritors and, because of the very restrictive language in her will, it was important that whatever action Kevin took on my behalf did not jeopardize my daughters' share of their entitlement. Kevin fully understood the issue and the fact that I did not wish to pursue the matter through the courts. With my concerns and interests in mind, Kevin did an excellent job of representing me in subsequent written communications with both the Executor's attorney and with the OK oil well company attorney. Though I have not met him in person, it was apparent from our communications that he listens well and is very bright and astute. I would not hesitate to highly recommend Kevin to anyone seeking legal counsel.

When I came to Bailey and Galyen for help on my work comp case, I was confused and feeling hopeless.

Hired this Attorney for criminal defense case. Worst mistake i could have made. A public defender could have done a better job. Because of Runge’s care less attitude i was supposed to get time served on a case and edged up go to TDCJ for several months. When someone contacted him to tell him to do something he did nothing. I wasted $30k in legal fees that public defender could have done much better job.

John Runge was by far the best attorney I've ever had. He genuinely cares about his clients and his work shows it. He will listen and address any and all questions without sugar coating it. I went to Mr. Sollows for help Within a couple of hrs he got back to me with all the information that he needed to help me after a child custody battle, that was literally closed and signed off 5-17-22. We had a hearing to modify Parent-child Relationship Order, from the opposing side. That I did not agree with, my attorney with Jim Ross did nothing to defend my case nor put effort towards what I was asking for throughout my whole case, 2 years! Mr. Sollows gave me the closure I didn't get from my attorney, if my case was ever to re-open, without hesitation i would hire him.

The lawyer did not acknowledge what I mentioned and persisted on doing unnecessary work.
Front staff receptionist was unprofessional by speaking very loud about another person's personal family case information.

I went to them for a traffic violation and wasn’t told I had to take courses online in order to remove my citation, called them to check on my citation since a lot of time had gone by, told me they sent me a email I never received and something in the mail I never got so I had to pay my citation and pay them for “taking” my case. I’d go somewhere else I rather pay alittle extra and make sure my things are being take care of the way they should be. Now I got the ticket on my record and had to pay it and them, all because they couldn’t call, send me an email, or a letter anything to let me know what I had to do next.

Never had the chance to hire Chance Smith and after talking to him once, he's permanently removed from my contact list. I'm one of those lead-foot guys and have been since I turned 16, unfortunately. I've used attorneys ad nauseam over the years. It's an annual occurrence. I began using James Mallory for Tarrant County tickets, moved over to Jim Lollar, who represented me for many years, and now use Justin Holt, who took over Lollar's book of business upon Lollar's retirement.
Couldn't be happier with Holt and formerly Lollar. The reason I reached out to Chance is because I have a Dallas County ticket and my attorneys don't handle Dallas County business. Chance apparently does, or at least to some degree.
I've planned to hire Chance for a couple of months but never have the ticket with me when I plan to call. Finally, when it dawned on me the other day that this ticket is still outstanding, I reached out to Chance even though I still did not have the ticket at hand.
He essentially said he wouldn't help me unless I produced the ticket, incredulously claiming "there's too many courts in Dallas and I'm not going to research for free." Hmm, interesting approach employed dealing with a potential client. Had he been more diplomatic about his refusal, I'd likely still have hired him, but since the rationale was unprofessional and not something you say to a client or customer, whether true or not, his judgement is called into question.
What makes this even more of a head scratcher is that I didn't call him to have him perform free research. I would have hired him on the spot, paid him via CC, and then allowed him to do his due diligence. Afterall, it is his profession, though he'd rather assign the difficult work to his clients. I don't expect anyone to do anything for free for me. I just wanted to hire the guy, but not only did he reveal his lack of judgement, but his logical reasoning was tremendously flawed too. Not a good combination for someone in his profession.
If the job is easy, he'll do it. If the job isn't easy, he'll refuse it.
What he failed to realize is that I'm a professional researcher. I own my own consulting firm. I often have to perform research for free in order to get an engagement executed and started. In fact, I'd spent about 3 hours the very morning I called Chance in doing due diligence (free research) for a proposal I was putting together. Just part of it...
He tried to make amends when concluding the call, saying "but if you find the ticket, give us a call and we'll be glad to help."
Uh, yea, right. Ok. I'll jump right on that.

Chase personal delt with me. Im a CDL Class A license holder who received a 72 in a 50mph speeding ticket in my personal vehicle. Chase explained all the known possible out comes for my violation. Charged me a nominal fee and assured me he would take care of it , without me ever having to go to court. And the only other possible charge would be an court cost of around $300. Well Chase found a technical error and had the whole thing dimissed, like it never happened with no court fees. I'm very grateful that he actually cares about his clients because he could have just went ahead how we discussed and left me with a $300.court cost, he was not gonna make anymore money either way it went. But thanks to his willingness to be through , I am able to maintain my great driving record!
Chase and his staff are VERY Professional but at the same time Very personable. And at a Very Affordable price. Who could ask for more. I definitely recommend J. Chase Smith, he understands the importance of a good driving record for A CDL holder.

I hired Gary Smart about 10 years ago through a recommendation from a church member. I was in a very tight legal situation out of Denton County after admitting to being partiality guilt to a crime and believing the detective would hold up to his promise to me of dropping the felony to a misdemeanor. The detective didn't hold up to it, however Attorney Smart was able to get them to change their mind and get me an extremely fair plea deal. The judge even told me "Son, you better be thankful that you hired such a great attorney, stop making dumbass decisions and get your life together". I'll forever be grateful to him fair price/payment plan, his professionalism, and care that he had shown me.

I can not say enough good things about Eric Labovitz and his team. I was getting a divorce, i was seeking spousal support, and i did not know where to start or what to expect. Eric Labovitz immediately made me feel at ease. Eric explained everything to me step by step, and got the ball rolling immediately. Patino was so completely out-matched by my ex's attorney. She was unprepared and did not do anything to defend me from ridiculous accusations. She caused my children to be removed from me for 6 months now and I am the ONLY biological parent. I have not done ANYTHING wrong and there are absolutely NO GROUNDS for my children being taken against my will. They were given to my ex, a non-relative of the children, after the ex filed a protective order against me and abducted my children from my home. All based on lies! The ONLY explanation for this from patino was "she filed first, she has upper hand." She quit 3 times because I questioned her. It's sad, the irreparable damage that has been done to my children.

I cannot explain the miracles Erika worked for me! She was thrown into a contested custody battle with only the notice I had when I was served. Before I even met face to face with her to hire her she had pages of research done on my case. She didn't even know if she would be my attorney and she devoted her time to me. She provided information to me not knowing she would be defending my daughters and me.
She not only had the contested custody to battle, she had out of state orders to transfer, 2 different counties to work through here in TX, back child support and an affidavit to contest.
She was very detailed in what she was going to need from me and made sure to study and document everything I provided her. She answered my questions day and night, in the middle of heated contention between my ex and me, even when she was with her family. She always followed up the very next morning. She was thrown more curveballs than anyone could have expected before, during and after both of our hearings.
She went out of her way to find me doctors, documents and anything else I needed before, during and after everything. No matter how hard my ex tried to break her/us, she didn't budge.
She made sure I came out victorious with added benefits in the end. She actually chased my ex and his "new family" out of Texas! She will fight until the end and keep fighting thereafter!
She put her heart into what I felt was an end to all means. She "adopted" us and genuinely cared about us... Still does.
If you need the best of the best, someone who genuinely cares and will work with you and for you, you need not look any further. Erika Patino is the answer.
She's so incredible I have added her to my Christmas list and that's a hard list to make!

Mark Cochran was a god send in a seriously nasty divorce. First when my children were 4&5 and again when they were teenagers. They are now 26 and 28 and one is a Physician Assistant and the other is in her 3rd year of medical school. This would not have happened without his support during the hard times. He managed my case SO well! Even though at one time he actually told me that if it continued he would have to shut his practice down just to take care of me! He is a GOOD Honest man and that is one of the most important things in a lawyer. I would trust this man with my life… and I did!

Cochran has the toolset of a good lawyer; that’s why I hired him. Where the great guy mentioned in the other reviews was, though, I never found out. I’m certainly no saint, but Cochran’s eagerness to win by money whipping my legal adversary was profoundly troubling. I was above board in my business dealings and wanted to proceed accordingly. Win fair and square. He didn’t seem to get it though, so I’ve moved on. If that’s the kind of representation you’re looking for then all I can say is how disappointed I am - in both of you.

Mark Cochran was about the 6th lawyer to work for me in what was an extremely ugly divorce knock down drag out. So comparing Mark to the other attorneys that worked on my case, Mark was the only one who I felt really went to bat for me. And his office did not nickel and dime me for every breath that they took and paper clip that they used. Also, Mark does only family law, so I didn't feel like I was at the wally world of lawyer chaos as with some other lawyers who claim about 6 areas of expertise...when really all they are is spread out thin and not an expert in any one area. I highly recommend Mark.

I used James to mediate the sale of my grandfather's house. Everything was going smoothly but 3 days before closing we ran into some major problems. It seemed that when my grandmother passed 12 years ago she did not explicitly leave her portion of the estate to my grandfather. James spent 12 hours on Saturday and Sunday the weekend before we were supposed to close to work everything out, including getting several of my grandmother's children to agree to give their portion of the house they owned by law to my grandfather so he could sell it. He went above and beyond what anyone could expect from a lawyer and a person and he genuinely cared about us as his clients. He was also at the actual closing going over documents from the real estate company before we had to sign them to make sure everything was ship shape. We could not have done the process without James in our corner and he did an amazing job. His price was very reasonable, especially considering all the extra work that he did near the end working well until past midnight on the weekend before we closed.
I would definitely recommend Mr. Miller to any of my friends and family. He has earned our trust and loyalty for many years to come.
