Shane is a highly-experienced, honest, and straightforward family attorney. I've worked with him over the past decade - first with a child custody case and second with a divorce. In both cases, he was transparent in what I could expect to happen. He has enough knowledge about family law to know what is worth fighting for, while also keeping expectations realistic. Also, he is (respectfully) an absolute menace in court. Shane is direct in his approach, which I appreciated greatly. However, more importantly, he and his team are also warm and accommodating - working with me as a single parent on a teacher's salary to ensure I could afford their representation. I always felt up-to-speed about what was happening in my cases and empowered to make decisions regarding my children. His paralegals are also incredibly helpful and quick to respond to inquiries and requests.
It can be overwhelming to be faced with a divorce or a custody battle; securing a solid attorney that wouldn't drain my bank account dry with nothing to show for it was a huge fear of mine. I had an awful experience working with this group. Previous to paying a retainer I was told the cost of working with them would only take a few hours of their time, essentially a few hundred dollars they explained. After weeks and weeks of no results, and a few thousand dollars later, I barely was given what I asked for. I needed help removing my tenants who were not paying rent and only wanted a simple letter outlining the legal requirements my tenants had to the lease they signed. Money was continuously drained from the account due to calls made to the group to ask when I would receive any letters or action. I was conned and would urge anyone to stay away from them if they don’t want their bank account drained for no results.

I initially chose JP Law Office for my divorce case based on their reputation and the promising start I experienced. Nicolette was approachable, proactive, and seemed genuinely committed to guiding me through this challenging time. In the beginning, I felt confident that I was in good hands. Their close attention to detail and prompt responses gave me hope that my case would be handled with the utmost professionalism.
However, as the case progressed, I began to notice a concerning shift. What started as a proactive and client-focused approach gradually turned into a frustrating experience. Communication became less frequent, and important aspects of my case seemed to be overlooked or delayed.Instead we were wasting hours in not so important details. It became increasingly clear that the level of care and diligence I initially received was no longer a priority. They were managing different cases but also mine and they had no incentives to spend the hours in the relevant and important details.
Unfortunately, this decline in service had significant consequences. Not only did it lead to unnecessary delays, but it also resulted in considerable financial strain and a disastrous sentence. I had expected a higher standard of service, especially considering the costs involved. Instead, I was left feeling that my resources were wasted, with little to show for the time and money invested.

I am sincerely appreciative of the invaluable help provided by Mark. I found myself in a challenging situation after investing a significant portion of my savings in a real estate company I worked for at the time, only to discover that the owner was engaging in fraudulent transactions and commingling funds with his investors' and clients' money. John took an almost impossible / unresolvable IRS tax case worth $500k (foreign / international tax laws as well as US laws were involved) and resolved it.Property & bank accounts were all levied,and the IRS was closing in.John managed to reach an agreement with the IRS where back taxes were payed and bank levies were released.All of this with an ongoing divorce situation involving foreign nationals.John is a good advisor.He WILL sort out the problem!!

This is the worst attorney to walk this earth, if you have a custody battle and use him, you will lose your child. He doesn't care about his clients, I lost my child because of him, he was slaughtered and embarrassed by the other attorney, like he was a 2 year old, he didn't prepare, show one shred of my evidence, which I collected myself, he defense was deplorable, he even didn't dispute that the other attorney used white out on a legal document and changed the amount of support I was to pay, I had only made $ 1,200 for the whole year, as i was a stay at home mom and he let me have to pay $580 a month to my ex, plus $50 an hour on supervised visit at $300 a week. I have no criminal record, never been in trouble, spoiled my child, to dwi, a big part of my community and school, my ex didn't want to pay child support and called cps on me, I was 100% cleared, Timothy Hutton was aware of this. How did this happen, my exes attorney was better and Timothy has no spine and doesn't care, the judge really disliked him also, he didn't even stand up properly to address her, she yelled at him for that disrespect, I knew at that point I would lose. He didn't gather not one piece of evidence, call any witnesses, get and evidence of my ex lying or from his work. I DO NOT RECOMMEND HIM, no stars is what he deserves!!!! He does not care about the end results, why didn't he protect me, why did I get supervised visits, for the rest of my 5 year olds life, he wouldn't even help me fix his mistakes and then ignored me and my calls. He lost big time and dismissed himself, rude!! I lost my whole life and he could care less.

He was very knowledgeable and helpful on that call, kindly answering the many questions that kept popping into my head as he described the ins and outs of the divorce process. Paul is a phenomenal attorney. He took my tough, bungled case when others wouldn't touch it. He listened. He believed my interpretation of the limited facts we started with and worked through the distortions and misinformation from the other side to craft an indisputable case of negligence. During frustrating periods of almost daily exchange, he was a steady source of counsel, wisdom and experience. I was very confident when I finally decided I wanted Paul Colley to represent me in my accident negotiations. From day one, they did not keep me informed, they had staff turnover so I never knew who to call, and my case seemed to be on the back burner for over 2 years! I had to keep calling them for updates, and I was not happy with my settlement, but didn't want to waste any more time dealing with this attorney. I would suggest not using Paul Colley! He never took my case seriously!

Paul is a remarkable individual. I know attorneys have a bad name but this one is an exception. He took care of our bills while we were fighting for our rights. Drunk drivers should be penalized for what they do and that's exactly what Paul did in our behalf. We got our settlement and now we're moving on with our lives with a fresh start. Communication became less frequent, and important aspects of my case seemed to be overlooked or delayed.Instead we were wasting hours in not so important details.
