I was referred to Mr. Jurdem and his firm with the tagline, "I'd trust him with my life, and my families' lives" as a criminal defense attorney.
I had been accused of DOMESTIC VIOLENCE, harassment, stalking, obstruction of telephone, etc., over 3 felonies. NONE of which I was guilty of, in fact, there was absolutely NO VIOLENCE (not a phone call, not a text, not an email) HOW COULD I BE CHARGED? If convicted or "cut a deal" to end the nightmare of lengthy court proceedings, I would NEVER be able to continue my career path in Medicine. It would obvious I needed the most meticulous trial attorney in Boulder/Denver. Upon our first meeting, it became evident why another attorney would refer me to this Law Firm. From day one, Mr. Jurdem was kind and observably brilliant with impeccable attention to detail. During the course of the status conferences and court proceedings leading up to trial, I accumulated 3 more charges which carried a MANDATORY prison sentence of up to 10 years if convicted. My case was like no other. When we would communicate, sometimes multiple times a week, and meet to discuss specific details that were crucial to the case, Mr. Jurdem was always such a pleasure, even given my life circumstances. I was offered a few plea bargains and continued to stand my ground as NOT GUILTY. Mr. Jurdem supported my EVERY decision throughout this case. Going to trial was one of the scariest moments of my life..yet somehow even though I was an emotional wreck, I was confident in Mr. Jurdem's intensity and tenacity in the courtroom. It was evident he is respected very highly throughout the entire judicial system. I was amazed how quickly he would communicate via email, sometimes I would see a time stamp at incredibly early hours. I don't believe another attorney could have worked as hard as Mr. Jurdem and his associates. After Mr. Jurdem got my SECOND CASE DISMISSED in a preliminary hearing, which is extremely rare given the seriousness of the charges, the DA moved to appeal the Judge's decision, it was granted and we were back to the emotional nightmare of going to trial. A month before my second trial, Mr. Jurdem received notification that the DA moved to DISMISS ALL CHARGES. Now, thanks to Mr. Jurdem's evident knowledge and mastered skills in the judicial system, I am able to live and pursue the life I was meant to.

Eric handled a very complicated business lawsuit for me over a period of two years. His work was very thorough and precise and he proved to be incredibly knowledgable. In the courtroom Eric didn't try to throw mud or spin tales like the other side did and in the end the jury respected us for his presentation of the facts and for not wasting their time. In the end, after an 8 day trial, the jury returned in less than an hour with a positive verdict in our favor. I cannot express how impressed I am with Eric. Eric was more prepared, more informed and more organized than the opposing side despite them having 3 times the number of lawyers. Eric is the best. You can't go wrong with him in your corner.

I contacted Ashlee Hoffman in fall, 2020, when my company already had a judgment against it. Despite being late to the game, Ashlee and her team did an outstanding job of research, brief/response crafting, advice, and negotiation in resolving the case over several months. Ms. Hoffman was very responsive all through the process, and the firm is remarkable in how reasonable and economical it is in billing practices - I've seldom felt treated as fairly on the cost side of legal work or litigation, very unusual. I was in a pretty severe car accident. The guy who hit me was completely at fault, and there were all sorts of difficult pieces to my case. I am so glad I found Cameron and his team after I was rear-ended by another vehicle during my work day.
I had just moved to a new city and was completely shaken up about the whole situation.
Cameron was diligent about pursuing all facets of care and medical attention after I had been injured from my accident.

Peter Fabish and his partner, John Hoelle, helped me through a tough time during my divorce, and also through a personal injury settlement. Peter listened deeply to my concerns during both legal matters and helped me get through them in the best way. My wife and I know Peter from some appellate work he did for us. I wish I would have met Peter a few years sooner. I have hired many attorneys in the past, and Peter has the highest level of integrity of any attorney I have ever hired. Peter also understands the human side of practicing law. The legal system is a daunting and truly scary realm for most, but for those of us that live a law abiding life - ignorance can be detrimental when you find yourself a victim of false allegations. John is more than a lawyer, he is a counselor of the law, who focuses on the individual client and expects that you (the expert in your own life) take charge of your case with his guidance and thus fight alongside him and not just hide behind him. From the initial meeting, John showed me professionalism, respect and ethical behavior. These standards were prevalent throughout the handling of my case.
Dedication is a very powerful word, but cannot truly describe John's targeted focus and tenacity. While I had never dealt with a lawyer before, I did call many who instead of offering their support via guidance of the law, belittled and terrified me. John was real, and from the beginning set high, but tangible expectations of what it takes to win or prove a case. He dedicated his life to me during the every step of the preparation of my case. I am an activist for the poorest, least represented people in society and I have known Nancy since she was a public defender. She is a brilliant tactical attorney at trial and she is very well received when it comes to negotiating positive outcomes with district Attorneys. Nancy has a compassion and empathy that really tunes her in to the clients personality and she very quickly grasps the critical dynamics of relationships and circumstances of a case and she sorts out the truth and presents it to the court in persuasive terms. not everyone is innocent, and Nancy is very compassionate and she negotiates outcomes that are fair and positive for the client and the court. Nancy keeps people out of jail and minimizes their time in the system and the system can be very unfair without Nancy to guide you through it. She has also gone to bat for people on probation to be allowed to use medical marijuana with a prescription, particularly people with HIV who only get relief from marijuana use and nothing else. It took a lot of guts for her to advocate for changes to probation in Boulder County to allow people with medical conditions to use medical marijuana, it was a very edgy subject at the time. Nancy has worked on important cases and important issues without regard for her personal compensation many many times. I recently learned when I sent her a new client that she is finally a partner in a firm and I want to say it is about time Nancy got PAID! I have extensive experience with very tough people in the justice system in Colorado, I know the group of top attorneys in Colorado very well, and Nancy is absolutely the best. I interviewed 4 attorneys to handle my case. The first 3 attorneys spent 15-20 minutes with me on the phone explaining what I was facing and how they would defend me; each then invited me to their office for a 30 minute meeting, presumably at which point they would ask for my signature for their representation.
Nancy spent an hour with me on the phone without any charge or expectation that she would represent me. She explained every detail of what I was facing and what was the most likely successful outcome. She was far more detailed than the others. She allowed me to ask a lot of questions. And when we were done with the phone consultation, she said, "I know you're talking with other attorneys. If you want to proceed with me, let me know." Choosing Nancy was easy because she gave me her best without expecting anything in return.
As Nancy represented me throughout the process, I got the same treatment. She communicates in a very timely manner. She understands how to navigate the system to her clients' benefit. Knowing that a court-ordered treatment program would be part of the judge's decision, she got me going in that early. She took a personal interest in my family situation. Everything played out as she said it would, and I received the best outcome that was possible given the situation.
