When my marriage fell apart and I needed to file for a divorce, I talked to several attorneys. I knew my situation was unusually complicated and that I was going to be facing some extremely tough opposition. The first few attorneys I spoke to thought I was exaggerating and didn’t seem to take my concerns seriously. Once I met Sally Bybee, I knew I had found the right attorney to represent my interests. She really listened to me and I felt like she understood what I was saying. She was empathetic and concerned, and she got to work immediately.
From the start, Sally nailed down the facts and created a tactical plan for getting the job done. She took a very direct approach and pursued our goals very aggressively every step of the way. Because my ex-husband and I could not communicate rationally about anything, Sally had to work hard to keep things on track. She was persistent and focused, and truly exceptional. For me, the process was grueling and emotional, but Sally never got flustered or bogged down in the mess.
My divorce dragged on for about a year and half, and there were times when I thought it would never be settled and over. The single most important issue for me was my daughter and protecting my rights and relationship with her. Sally made sure all our bases were covered, and she really put me in control of the situation. She knew how to get just the right paperwork pulled together in a hurry when my ex-wife was ready to sign. We didn’t waste any time or opportunities, and I know if it wasn’t for Sally, I would still be fighting for custody and spending a fortune in the process.

Without getting into actual details, I will give you my experience with him. 10 years ago after spending money on the "Big Name" Attorney's in Tampa (who did nothing and had no plan) I ran into Mr. Baer, the new guy out of Texas. He made no promises but did some things at the time I thought were CRAZY! I was thinking "that sounds good, but just like the other Attorneys told me, no way they are going to go for that" I had that planted in my head, but Mr. Baer told me all they can do is turn us down. Still not convinced however, I let him do it his way. Now that I look back on it you can't do "normal things" and expect "crazy results" You have to be a little bit crazy if you want to crush it. That is exactly what he did CRUSHED IT! Everything he asked for we got! Stephen Baer is legit! If you have a Federal Case and you don't at least have him look at it. YOU ARE DOING YOURSELF AN INJUSTICE! Not that I would ever want to go through that again, but if I did the only person in my Corner I would want. Would be be Attorney Stephen Baer. Can't thank him enough. I just ran into his name again (10 years Later) while searching for immigration Attorney's. Couldn't be any happier. I will be hiring him again, if he will take my case.

I retained Bill after he was highly recommended by another attorney who was conflicted out of representing me. Bill handled my multi-year case with great dexterity and thoughtfulness. I spoke with 10-12 attorneys about my case, and given the complexity and the level of resources that were required, it was not easy to identify suitable counsel. It is important to note that what separated Bill from numerous other attorneys was his business judgment and instincts. So many times my ego would have led me into making a flawed business decision, and Bill was constantly having to re-orient me to what was ultimately in my best interests. Usually, it wasn't until much later when I realized how "on point" Bill's analysis was. He is very diligent and focused, but again, his business judgment was the clear differentiator. Finally, being able to manage a myriad of issues and managing a number of nuances was not easy, but Bill remained well informed and well prepared to represent my best interests. I contacted Stum Law Firm for help with credit matters I was disputing on my credit report. I had tried to resolve several erroneous and false reportings on my credit report on my own but had absolutely no luck getting through to the creditors to receive proof of my debt(s) in an attempt to resolve the matter.
I was in the process of needing to secure a larger line of credit for business purposes but was unable to do so due to the errors on my credit report. I contacted Stum Law Firm and realized I was in good hands from the very first phone call. They took the time to get all of the details regarding my issue and made the retention process really easy and simple and they started working to resolve my credit matters almost immediately. The next time I spoke with the attorney about a week later, he was calling to inform me that he had contacted one of the creditors and they were removing their claim from my credit report immediately. The second was removed about a week after that. Completely removed from my credit report!
I can honestly say their customer service and professionalism really stood out throughout their time handling my case and I have recommended them to so many of my friends and co-workers who are experiencing the same issues with their credit. They didn't waste time and they truly cared about helping me resolve the credit issues I was having.

As a lawyer myself, I was very picky about who would represent me when I needed it most. Like others, I initially made the mistake of hiring a low-cost attorney. And I got what I paid for so I fired him. My next lawyer was much more expensive. More expensive must mean he's a better lawyer, right? No. In fact, not only did he not learn the facts of my file, but the final straw that led to his firing just before mediation was that he didn't even take the time to learn my kids' names. With mediation looming I found myself without a lawyer so I called Marie. Marie was a study partner of mine in law school so I was initially hesitant to share so much of my personal story with her. But I quickly realized that was an unfounded concern because Marie has been nothing but professional, discreet, sensitive and caring and all while doing a fantastic job of representing my interests as good, or better than anyone else had before - especially that expensive lawyer!
