I had my consultation with Stephen today and I hung up the phone feeling empowered and confident. He went above and beyond to help me and wasn't just looking to make money. I was served Habeas Corpus documents on Friday evening and ordered to be in court Monday at 3p. I had little to no time to prep let alone find an attorney but I reached out during wee hours of the morning and was contacted by 9a Saturday morning. I've yet to go to court but I wanted to write a review on my first impressions and how Mr. DePaul exceeded all expectations. I hired Thayer after I got in trouble returning from Colorado. He got me a great deal! The ordeal was very expensive but you get what you pay for! He got my 1st degree felony down to a misdemeanor which was very important for my career of choice. He is very up front and honest. He also answered all questions I had in a timely manor and even though a lot of the aspects pertaining to my charges didn't seem fair, he was able to empathize and come up with the best possible solution. I was facing horrible accusations and was arrested. Facing a life sentence for something I didnt do. I've never seen a lawyer maneuver through trial the way this guy does. I was going to hire him as an attorney and decided to sit in on a public trial he was arguing. Holy SHHHHH is this guy good. I never ended up hiring him because my charges were dropped but what I saw this man do in court should be made into a movie. The the Jury ate it up, the judge ate it up, and even the DA ate it up.

Patrick Kelly handled my case last year and did a good job. I had my case with another law firm in Dallas, but they never did anything and said they could not recover for me. Patrick took my case and he made a claim with the court. He made me comfortable giving my live testimony to the insurance lawyers. He got all my bills paid. And I got 3 times the amount of money in my pocket than the insurance company offered the first lawyers (even after paying my bills and attorneys fees). I would recommend him too.

I came to Feizy Law with a very small case earlier this year. He did an amazing job with my mom's immigration case for adjustment of immigration status to obtain her Lawful permanent residency. He kept pushing and making sure he was keeping us updated on the case with major appointments and major steps in the process. From the beginning, he was just wonderful and understanding and explained everything with how the case would go. I don’t normally write reviews. This will be the 2nd review I’ve ever posted in my 46 yrs of life but Mr. Michael Lehmann deserves it. He is sincere, honest, kind, and an amazing advocate for his clients. He is very, very amazing at communicating. The first time I met Mr. Lehmann I was coming off the elevator trying to get to my sons hearing. Mr. Lehmann let me know that the hearing had started early and they had postponed things but as a mom who got their 30 min early and still missed seeing my son I was devastated that I wasn’t there for my son on time not to mention the obvious heartbreak I was dealing with my son being in the circumstance he was in. Mr. Lehman sat with me and explained everything to me and answered all my questions. I was crying and had so many things going through my mind but he was so kind and understanding and calm. He never made me feel like I was wasting his time. He fought for my son and got him a very fair sentence. Mr. Lehmann helped put my faith back into the justice system. My family and I feel very blessed to have him on my sons case.

Ever been accused of a crime you were innocent of, signed for probation, and then miraculously find yourself in standing before the judge listening to these beautiful words, "Not Guilty"???? if not its because you have never been represented by this man, Michael A. Lehmann, this was near a decade ago. It really happened, and yes i was charged with DWIWACI... An open and shut; your automatically guilty type situation. I, didnt do it and had just signed 10 years of my life away and been made financially responsible for the near 100,000$ in restitution's.But two days before my time for appeal ran out something happend , new evidence, new facts. Mike was my pda at the time. Meaning PUBLIC DEFENSE ATTORNEY. Meaning the months that would come to pass in motion hearings, time spent with criminal investigators, time spent with toxicologists, literally hundreds of hours. Where absolutely not spent in an hourly+retainer situation. I dunno what pda's typically bring in annually, but to the point, it was never about greed, or lack of shame, or MONEY. It was the fact that Mike new i was innocent! As well as the fact that he believes in JUSTICE! What we have here ladies and gentlemen is not some, attorney at law, or gumshoe pi, or snake in the grass defense lawyer. What we have here, is an Officer of the Court, who believes in justice, and is not afraid to stand strong in the face of overwhelming odds for others, simply because of those last two stated facts. Paula Bennett gave me something that I had thought was lost...hope.
she then delivered the results that I thought I couldn't possibly achieve due
to the mess that my case had become: my daughter's life back, free from
a downward spiral of rulings that never should have been put in place.
Ms. Bennett and the firm of Orsinger, Nelson, Downing and Anderson picked up
my case at a time that i was certain that all I could hope for was a "not as bad as the worst",
but was still a horrible disruption to my daughter's life, as well as my entire family's;
essentially hopeless due to a series of events that i would have never imagined
to be possible for me as a single parent that had raised my daughter for her
entire life of 9 years without incident.
I found myself to be in a position of being about to lose half of my time with my daughter,
half of our holidays, and almost all of the peace in our lives. I even made the
mistake of signing an agreement to try to "minimize the damage", out of desperation
and not knowing what else to do. I had given up, because it could only get worse, it
seemed.
Ms. Bennett took on my case even though she was extremely busy, because she did
something a lot of attorneys don't seem to do: she cared. She told me that she
thought there was a solution to my case, when no one else was able to see or find
the answer. Her knowledge of family law was immediately obvious, and she knew
how to approach my case, even though several rulings were on the books, and
the agreement had been signed through a mediator.
Not only did Ms. Bennett know what to do, but her confidence and skill shone
brightly in all that she did, and she was able to resolve my case quickly and with a
finality that I thought i would never see, and for which I can never be
grateful enough.

Grant Stock represented my father and I in a civil action filed against us in Dallas. Grant was the consummate professional throughout the entire process. He was astute to the procedural requirements and kept us on track to file all documents and responses in a timely manner. More importantly he was very knowledgeable on the law and in offering sound legal guidance and advice. Grant has an easy manner in interacting with people, but don't let that fool you. He understands how to use this to his client's advantage and can get deliberate when necessary. I was quite impressed by his insight regarding the peripheral issues related to the case. He understands how to navigate the various options in representing his clients in a case. Things such as should you take advantage of mediation and how to utilize that option. And knowing the political temperament of the jurisdiction which his clients cases are filed in. Grant took a lot of the stress out of having to defend against a lawsuit and for that I’m most appreciative.

I found Mr. Stock here on Avvo not knowing if I had any sort of case or not. I just wanted an honest interpretation of the facts surrounding my circumstances. Even though I had yet to hire him, he was very professional and courteous. He spoke with me and gave what I fully believe to be his honest interpretation of my issue regarding potential employment discrimination.
He explained everything in great detail, from how he interprets the facts, how he feels others may interpret them as well as the pros and cons of deciding to move forward if I chose to file a claim.
I never felt uncomfortable, judged nor did I ever detect any hint of condescension as if he were "doing me a favor".
When I had questions about the case, paperwork, how things would happen, he always found the time to answer in the best detail he could anything I had to ask until I was felt fully informed and satisfied. I could tell he was interested in helping me, not just chasing a paycheck.
Throughout the entire case he was very straightforward and objective. Nor did he set any extravagant expectations for the outcome. He did exactly what I hired him to do, and I would certainly recommend him to anyone that finds themselves in the circumstances I was in.

My divorce case was fairly simple. It was just about the money. Bill returned calls quickly, during breaks at court, or mediation. Email turnaround was quick also, depending on the complexity of the information and documents to be reviewed and modified thus removing the necessity to meet in person to go over documents time and time again. We dealt with Bill on a fairly simple, yet unfrequent issue: seller refused to release 15k in earnest money after cancellation of contract. The issue? Paperwork reached seller at 5:06pm instead of the 5:00pm deadline.
I sent Bill copies of all docs, set up chronologically by me. He interpolated with advice and found all possible contract loopholes. Then recommended that I, the buyer, write the seller pointing out the faults of the contract, and that they would likely end up having to release the funds, plus fork-out all additional costs - likely a few thousand each. Worked like a charm. As Tony Soprano would say: baddabim-baddaboom. His final bill wasn't exorbitant either. Def-rec!

Guys ... please don’t do this alone! I started out doing the friendly, no-lawyer divorce. We poked around on the internet, read the law and I was about to give the farm away.
I’m a relatively smart guy and able to figure most things out, but this ... way out of my league. I had a very simple divorce, no minor children, no real assets - only a house, nothing really to "fight" for. I surrendered all the furniture and was trying to be fair.
Bill was great, laid out the facts, applied his experience (don’t underestimate the need to find someone with experience), looked at the whole picture, and talked me off the ledge. I was giving too much.
We ended up going through mediation, Bill was calm and drama free, which seemed to irritated my ex-wife’s lawyer - bonus. Bill was rational and thoughtful with the mediator.
Bill listened when he needed too, asked only the questions he needed, and gave me some great advice. I know consider this an investment that has paid off. I was looking at years of support and contact with my ex-wife. After mediation, that was it. No support, no contact, life is good now.
I highly recommend you at least talking to Bill, see where you stand. Then decide, but you’ll do like I did and move forward with him.

I was referred to Mr. Brian Sanford by another employment law firm that
I found on Yelp, and I have had nothing but good things to say about
this firm ever since. Full disclosure, I unfortunately was unable to sign on with Mr. Sanford because his schedule was already full, but even so he was willing to hear me out and give me some very helpful pointers on how to renegotiate the terms of my severance package after working for my former employer for nearly 8 years and getting laid off due to no fault of my own. Among those options included a handful of recommended firms I could consider contacting, all of which he had worked with before.
Today I received my first paycheck from that severance agreement, which ended up being more than double the amount initially offered. Without the information Mr. Sanford provided, the tips and cautionary points he made, I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have done nearly so well.
I highly recommend Mr. Sanford for his straightforwardness in evaluating all points of your situation, his brass tacks summary of your options (he didn't hide anything about costs for every one of those options, whether or not you decide to hire him), and his extensive understanding of how the employment legal system works in Texas. Many people hate dealing with lawyers, but this guy seems to be one of the good ones.

Mr Sanford was recommended by another trusted legal counsel as I mentioned to the referral source: "I want someone, just as good as you" Well I can truly attest that Mr Sanford and his team definitely surpassed my expectations and remained consistent, nonjudgmental, transparent and professional, I could not have asked for a better legal counsel during a very tumultuously legal matter related to employment. I never once thought that he would be playing both sides with the other defending attorneys. He and his team were responsive, brought in necessary resources to help my litigation process become a success; even when some unexpected events unfolded which left us both baffled. Because he is a man of faith and high integrity, I believe it shows in his personal and professional dealings as sincerely helping others is apart of his passion for his work; thus allows "win-wins" to be created in unexpected circumstances with his clients. Mullen & Mullen Law Office was recommended to me by a co-worker who had used this firm many years ago after a severe 18-wheeler wreck, and he had nothing but good things to say. I had him as a court appointed attorney in 2015. I had a possession charge and he got the case dismissed. The police found the drugs in my wallet with my ID and the driver of the car gave the police permission to search the vehicle and he still got the charged dismissed.
